China Panda II

Definitely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. We got beef on stick and chicken and broccoli with white rice. No flavor, grizzly and tough meat. It tasted like sad babies.

Highly recommend for Richmond/​Chesterfield vegetarians! Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, but the inside is the most humble little restaurant with great fast friendly service. Perfect for a quick lunch meal or lazy dinner, call ahead and place your order to save time!

We decided to try this restaurant as we moved to this side of town recently and are in search of a good Chinese restaurant. After I had eaten several bites, we noticed a huge bug in the sweet and sour sauce (it looked like a black hair and then we pulled it out -, vomit). My husband went back to show them and get our money back and they would only refund the one meal! $ 8 out of $ 26 which is absolutely ridiculous considering I couldn’t eat after that and took my kids food away as well. Will never go back and have also shared my experience on Facebook. I understand things happen, but the response was unacceptable.
Edited to add: prior health inspections show a pest problem… namely roaches. Repulsive. Stay far, far away.

My husband and I have been ordering delivery from China Panda II for years now. There is the most polite older man who delivers to us almost every time. He is always smiling and friendly. Our order is always correct and great! The steamed dumplings and sauce are fantastic and all the ingredients are fresh. We always enjoy treating ourselves when we can to the convenience of good fresh Chinese food.

It’s been a while since anyone has written a review about this place so I thought I should offer my 2 cents.
First of all, you can’t come in to a place like this and expect 5 star cuisine. It seems foolish to me to walk in and put your expectations so high because of course, you will be dissapointed.
I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken, which I was surprisingly pleased with. I had read the other reviews, which actually made me hesitant about eating here, but it was on the way home so I figured why not. It wasn’t all batter, which was great. Which also leads me to believe that they’ve probably upped their game since anyone last wrote a review. It was $ 8.50 for a more than generous portion of chicken, broccoli, and white rice. The order came out within 10 minutes, and that included my husband’s order as well.
On top of everything the younger woman that had taken our order, which we asked for to-​go because we never finish our food, was incredibly polite. She noticed we sat down and began to take out our food, and before we could even get up to approach her to ask for utensils she asked us if we would need plates and utensils. Then once she came back with everything she asked if we needed a high chair. I really appreciated that because you don’t usually receive that kind of service in places like this.
Overall, even though it wasn’t the best Chinese food ever, it hit the spot. We thought the pricing was fair, and that the service we received was great… so 5 stars. Bravo.

You can’t beat the lunch specials here. They are about the same price as any other Chinese restaurant but the portions here are much more. They come in the big white takeout containers instead of those reusable, microwaveable containers so you definitely get more bang for your buck

I used to love this place but it has gone downhill. The dishes are not made correctly and the sauces watered down. The last time I ordered was the last time I ever order from them., It was a huge disappointment and the vegetables were not fresh and overlooked to mush and the sesame mock chicken was like biting on rocks and the Lo mein was plain bad and had a stale taste. I hate writing bad reviews but it was truly awful and nothing is worse than being hungry and wasting money buying food that you can’t eat.

Love it. Simple, cheap, authentic, and good

This is certainly not the answer to a Chinese food craving in the Bön Air area. I understand the difference between cheap checkerboard menu Chinese, and quality regional places… but this places falls below both. The General Tso Chicken ($ 10.25) comes with white rice and broccoli. The rice is not fresh, the broccoli is fine, but the General Tso is terrible. It’s all crunch, nothing else. Evident signs of being fried WAYYYYYYYY too long. I also tried the steamed dumplings. The dough disentigrated so the pork filling is all over the place. To make that worse, the sauce is sour… not sure if its supposed to be sour or if its just bad. Either way its gross.
I will not order from here again, nor would I recommend it.
