Awesome brunch menu. Great bar scene. Staff is enjoyable, professional and friendly. Mimosas are excellent! Brunch is Seleucids, menu is great with wonderful variety. My favorite part is that the patio is dog friendly!

I ordered through eat street at 1:37 pm. No call and no food for an hour and a half. I call eat street who tells me to the call the restaurant. I do. A very rude woman answers the phone, cuts me off as I am asking about my order and yells to someone else didn’t we turn off eat street today. She then tells me to call eat street to get a refund and hangs up. I call eat street and they say they were never notified to turn off eat street. I won’t ever go to this restaurant or recommend it. I live in the fan and know everyone. Will go and talk tovthecmanager tomorrow. Waitress should be fired for her behavior.

I brought steak and cheese sub, Mac and cheese, bacon burger, fies and chicken caesar salad. My total was 35 and some change that was no problem. The steak and cheese had no taste to it. The Mac and cheese was burned. After eating half the food I got sick instantly. I believe it was Food poison. My husband refuse to even eat his food so that was a waste of 35 dollars. Also they left the chicken off the Caesar salad needless to say I will never order again.

The bartenders stand around. Waited 15 minutes at the bar just to make a drink order. They ask you want you want then walk away and tend to someone else. Worse bar in Richmond.

The servers at FWS are very attentive and nice. FWS was voted as having the best appetizers by Style(I think), and they’re not that great. I tried the fish tacos, and have definitely had better. The grilled vegetables(squash and zucchini) were really good, though. Decent beer list.

Arrived and was told of a 25 minute wait. As the time grew on, we saw people were walking in and getting seated without waiting. After asking the hostess how much longer of a wait we had, it was clear she’d forgotten about us. She told us we could have sat at any of the tables outside, something we weren’t told. After finally sitting down 40 minutes after arriving, it took another 15 to get waters. When our burger week burgers finally arrived, the fried egg as cooked all the way through and dripping with grease. It was wholly an unremarkable burger which only added a final touch to mildly frustrating and completely unsatisfying experience of F.W. Sullivan’s.

Decent food but not great service, very inattentive. Came here for brunch today and am actually writing this review as we wait for our waitress to take our credit cards… nothing like ruining a nice brunch by making your customers wait 45+ minutes to be able to leave. I don’t get a sense of teamwork from the staff here either, as multiple staff members have walked past our stacked check books with credit cards and not one person has asked if they could assist us and take care of the payment. We’ve been here 2.5 hours and are already hungry again and wishing we had ordered one last drink. There were only a few tables in the restaurant, too. Won’t go out of my way to come back as my time and money is worth more to me than their mediocre food and poor service. Stick to the nighttime scene for a good time at Sullivan’s.

FWS is near to my heart. In a city of mostly pretentious bars and restaurants, this place embraces being the classic neighborhood spot. Now, to be fair, the tap list beats out most in the city, and the food is consistently good pub fare. That said, it’s dingy and dated, but that’s oddly refreshing in this town. When it comes down to it, sometimes you just need a place to have a delicious, cold pint and a juicy burger. And so it is, in few words, uniquely and perfectly normal.

Ordered 2 famous Philly cheesesteaks to go with their hand cut fries. WAs pleased that it was authentic philly style no lettuce, tomato and mayo! Was disappointed in the styrofoam clam shell container. Bread was soggy and fries too when I got home! Can’t wait to eat in.

The reindeer filet was excellent, as were the smashed potatoes. Mac and cheese can be skipped. Our server was excellent and I loved their play list.

I’ve been here for drinks quite a bit post college. I don’t go as much any more. It’s a brofest kinda bar. Lots of young professionals go to guzzle beer down and pick up a mate for the night. The restaurant has an expansive menu, full of great all-American options. I used to go to the crab leg bucket night. I recently went because I saw a special on Instagram for $ 5 Philly cheese steaks on Sunday nights. My man is obsessed with finding a good Philly in Richmond so I suggested we go with his son(a 6-year old)… We got there and the waitress didn’t know anything about the $ 5 special. I had to show it to her on my phone. She eventually went to ask the manager and she came back to say she would acknowledge the offer. We ordered. The steak on his sandwich was full of great flavor, but there wasn’t anything else like onions, peppers or gobs of cheese like you might expect or want on a Philly. It was good, but not out-of-the park good. The waitress also brought out the wrong side, and the side(mashed potatoes) she brought out instead was cold, albeit yummy. She took off his entire order from the check, so that was nice. Our little one had a great personal pizza to himself. Simple, cheese and sauce. He was content. I got crab cakes with the wasabi mashed potatoes. The potatoes were super yummy! I just couldn’t eat a whole lot of them. The flavor was really strong. My crab cake was nice and full of crab meat, but there was something very off about the flavor. It was too lemony or over seasoned, I think. It was also obviously not fresh. I’m a southern girl, so I expect a lot from my crab cakes.

I went to F.W. Sullivan’s for late night drinks with some friends so be forewarned I can’t offer any insight into the food. As a bar, it was just what we were looking for; a place to pound back a few drinks with a non-judgmental vibe. It got pretty busy and there was a several minute wait which felt a bit silly in The Fan. Inside, it was fairly crowded with a few people dancing, though more stumbling than dancing. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking to get fairly drunk, though I would imagine if not it could be a bit much. Has a college or recent-grad vibe at least when I’ve been there.

We went to F.W. Sullivans and had such a great time that we return about five days later. This is a really cool old-fashioned bar in an area called«The Fan» and there happy hour food and drinks are off the hook. They pour a real drink, and have fantastic appetizers. The service was excellent, the crowd was a cool mixture of coeds and middle agers and the outside patio is perfect for warm nights.

After-work crowd will turn into a nightlife crowd during most days and the weekends. Great casual spot to meetup with friends for drinks.

I’ve been here many times just to drink and hang out with friends, and for that purpose, it’s decent. Has a sort of «bro» vibe and a lot of drunk college students on weekends so if you want to go get hammered somewhere, this is the place. No one will judge your sloppy slurring or throwing back that 4th shot. Sometimes there’s a line to get in, sometimes there’s not. I finally stopped by and tried their food, however. A girlfriend and I didn’t feel like waiting at my all-time favorite brunch spot(Sidewalk) so we went here because it was practically empty. The service was ok — nothing was particularly glaring. What made this experience terrible was the food. I ordered their Cajun Mess after the server mentioned that it was the most popular dish. I was surprised when all I received was 2 undercooked eggs, about 2 shrimp, and a plethora of overly spicy andouille and overcooked tater tots(which tasted like they’d been fried the day before and in order to reheat them, they fried again… so akin to potato rocks at this point). Hardly any fresh veggies were included. My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros and was not impressed either. Overall, I’d say they are overpriced as far as food goes, and the portions are small. Great for: Getting smashed on a weekend Not great for: Brunch, apparently.

My girlfriend and I visited Sullivan’s with another couple for brunch on sun. Geez where do I begin. We waited 5 min just standing at the front door until a hostess finally greeted us, only to be sat a a table to wait for another 10 before we even saw a waitress. She dropped off 3 waters(4 people) and didn’t return for another 10 min. With plenty of time to look at menu, we informed her that we were ready to order, time 12:38. After a few min our mimosas arrived which were great. But really how hard is if to screw up champagne and OJ? At 1:15 we finally got our waitress’s attention and asked about how much longer the food was going to take to which she replied«oh only another min» time 1:20. After a few jokes about having to order off the dinner menu(brunch over at 2) and the ice from our drinks melted from a lack of mimosa refills. We called our waitress over again and told her the food was taking a ridiculous amount of time and the fact that only 3 tables of food had come out of the kitchen in the past hour and 15 min we’d been there, we would like to pay for our drinks and leave. The waitress had the nerve to argue and tell us we couldn’t leave because we had ordered food and it was«coming out in a min» so she couldn’t void it so we’d be charged the whole bill!!! Needless to say after I got involved with the situation, the bartender(real nice and apologetic) charged us for our mimosas and we left. Time 1:52/ Total time 1 hr37 min I will never eat here again.

I visited Sullivan’s to participate in their weekly Monday night trivia with a group of coworkers. The place was pretty crowded, and we were glad we had arrived early to grab a table. The trivia — would have been good if there had been any sort of enforcement of a ‘no phone’ policy. Tables were cheating left and right and that really made it a lot less fun. It’s a good place to go if you’re just meeting up with friends for casual drinks and regular bar food. Drinks were fine, although my cider was served in a warm glass rather than over ice. When I asked for ice, the waitress acted as if I had asked for something completely crazy. We also had to physically go to the hostess station to get silverware and napkins because none were brought to us. I ordered the hummus plate, which was fine — I mean, how can you screw up slicing some veggies? Others at my table ordered cheese fries, or desserts, and everyone was happy with their food. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. I’ll probably go again for the casual, after-work hangout vibe.
