Frame Nation is a wonderful, quaint framing shop that can handle all of your framing needs. I went to Frame Nation after a failed do-​it-​yourself jersey framing job. Mary rescued the project immediately and did such a wonderful job, I had another jersey reframed (previously done by someone else) so that two would match in quality. When I had an issue with a frame (purchased somewhere else) Mary to the rescue again! She fixed it beautifully and quickly.
Mary is so generous that she even helped me when my car battery died at the her shop. She gracious gave me a ride to an auto parts store without hesitation. I cannot thank her enough
I would highly recommend this shop. The rating system only allows 5 stars, but I would give them 10 if I could.

Mary & Aly were a pleasure to work with! They really take care of their customers and did a lovely job framing a fine art print that was gifted to me. I recommend this local business over larger chain stores because they really have that special personal relationship with customers. I plan to return here for all my future framing needs!

My wife and I recently moved to RIchmond from Brooklyn and had had wanted to frame a print that reminded us of our time in NYC. Mary was really great in helping us find the perfect frame for our souvenir. The service was amazing and the final product is a beautiful piece that we’ll enjoy looking at every day.

I had a large (5 feet by 3 feet) piece of art that I needed stretched over a frame. I called around to all of the area stores (including big box stores) and on a whim called Frame Nation as well. They quoted me half of the price that every other frame shop did. When I brought the canvas in, I was so pleasantly surprised. Mary and her associate (Chris? I’m bad with names!) were super knowledgable, friendly and even offered to rush the project so I could have it in time for my boyfriend’s birthday.
Couldn’t recommend Frame Nation more… will DEFINITELY be a return customer.

Frame Nation is a very creative framing boutique. There’s all your traditional framing options along with crazy stuff owner Mary Fender brings in to make her shop stand out. Lots of exclusive-​to-​Richmond stuff too. Mary enters lots of national framing contests and has framed pics with rhinestones and other crazy, inventive stuff. She’ll do stuff like this for whatever you’ve got if you ask her. She also has frames made from reclaimed wood from Richmond buildings.
The other cool thing about this place is it’s not just frames. Mary hosts regular art shows in her shop and also sells other neat art items like pieces called Recycle Style that combine old Richmond images with old framing and other items to create original works.
This is definitely the place to go for cool frames and art.
