«Yay! I’m a fan.» I’ve lived in the Pinole/San Pablo/Richmond area for a very long time and seen this store from it’s beginnings; back then when it was«Funcoland». Back then when there was a little asian kid who always hung out around the store, whom I would eventually befriend through some others friends at their church. And in my final attempt to establish my credibility, being the male gamer I am at the age of 23, I’ve spent thousands of dollars at that store. The staff there is always friendly; it seems like store policy to greet customers as they enter the store. Most are knowledgeable about games, products, consoles, etc. Though, I’m not sure how much this store caters to the PC gamer. I only have a couple minor complaints: it’s a bit cramped in the store(something that seems like every GameStop is subject to) and sometimes there’s an odor of BO present. I highly doubt it’s the staff, but I guess the store needs better ventilation. Overall, it’s 4 stars.

The staff here is nice and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you are getting all the discounts you can on what you buy. The store is cramped, but there seems to be a real effort to keep it organized. sibani tip: This store has a more comprehensive selection of used games. Often, this location will have hard-to-find games that other stores do not.

I had the distinct pleasure of dealing with this incredible store. Not only are they nice and attentive, they are very knowledgeable about games, releases and systems. The manager here is an example of what retail and customer service is all about. She really keeps a smile on and treats everyone kind. My 2 experiences here were just the kind I want in every store that I spend my $$$ in. I felt like I was special and welcomed. I would definitely shop here again!
