Yum yum to my tum tum! I order here whenever I get the chance – even if I’m full because I would hate to pass up the opportunity to have a delicious bowl of wholesome goodness later on in my day. Excellent work guys. I’d love to see some more creative dishes to the existing menu – just to spice things up; but then again, if it ain’t broke, why fix it… Ps-the mountain tropp is hands down my favorite. I could eat it all day everyday.

The Mountain Trop is soooo delicious… I first had it at a festival last summer and was craving it days later. I finally made it over to their satellite location in Carytown Bike Co. to get my fix. I wish that they had longer hours because it is difficult to get to Carytown between 11 – 4. I keep thinking that I’m gonna try a different bowl, but I love the mountain trop so much.

Goatacado is an awesome food truck cart, right on VCU’s campus. They change their recipes seasonally, but I love their Mountain Tropp bowl with warm quinoa, arugula, black beans, apple and corn pico de gallo, gouda cheese, avocado and homemade sauce. The ingredients are super fresh, and the sauces really bring the whole bowl together, all for a reasonable price. I don’t have class on that side of campus much anymore, but it’s always a treat when I’m able to make it over.

Had the Mountain Tropp for lunch today and it was… OK. Not terrible, but not great either. Really just tasted like something I could make at home. For $ 9, I’m also looking for some meat, but this place is vegetarian.

Goatocado is so delicious and fresh! I love the thai peanut sauce and I usually add that on the Mountain Tropp bowl. I cannot wait for them to get a second location!

I was SO excited to eat at Goatocado! I eat a lot of quinoa and veggies and those are typically difficult to find in a food truck situation. The guy working was super nice! There was such a long line and he handled everything really well. I ordered the Athena bowl. This is one of the worst things I have ever eaten… the flavors didn’t marry ATALL. It was as if each element was seasoned in a way that was completely opposed to everything else. I tried eating things separately, mixing it together, etc. Nothing could improve the offensive flavor. I could only eat ~12 bites and had to throw the rest away. :( If I hadn’t gotten food poisoning from eating there, I would be willing to try again.

Hooray for Goatocado, which provides healthy options in the food truck court arena. When everyone else is doing burgers, fries, hot dogs and sugary snacks, Goatocado offers meals with quinoa, black beans, arugula, avocado, etc. for a healthy, filling alternative at a comparable price. Love it!

Just had the«hanover» at St Stephens Farmers Market. Pretty disappointed in it. Its a pile of rocket with some diced tomatoes, too many red onions, a layer of quinoa, and topped with a fried egg with mustard drizzle for $ 10. The meal didn’t marry well. And it was hard to eat with the heavy egg blocking all the lighter ingredients. I love a healthy meal and wanted to like it but didn’t. The price is too much for a Saturday morning farmers market even if St Steph’a is in an affluent area.

Say you stop at Hardywood for one… or three beers… Goatocado is where you should eat to feel a smidgen of healthy. The Mountain Tropp: quinoa, black beans, corn, pico, avocado, arugula, and mango/lime dressing is just what you need to feel like your whole day has not been filled with wasted calories. This is good stuff, straight from the food cart. Love it!!!

I tried them for the first time this weekend at Ardent’s block party. The Athena was amazing! I can’t wait to try more of their food.

Fresh fresher freshest. Flavor combinations packed in a convenient recyclable bowl. Several Food truck came by our corporate campus. And even though the weather was wet, I got in line for a salad of quinoa, alvacado, red cabbage, cilantro, beans& a refreshing lemon coriander dressing. 4 stars only because ‘tax’ was 25%. Quality is 5 stars.

Love the Hanover for breakfast and Haberdash for lunch. So fresh, so good & I definitely do not feel guilty eating such a healthy bowl. I just wish I knew where they are everyday… Every time I see the truck I feel like a kid with the Good Humor truck anxiously waving my money. SOTJ is so packed that by the time I get close in line, they’re sold out! Grrrrr

I’ve seen this food truck around a lot but the line has always deterred me from trying it. Finally, I got the chance! I was told to ask for a special that wasn’t on the menu. The guy that took our order made us a mac n cheese/salad dish which was DELISH! I now understand the lines and will gladly wait in them. I love that this food trucks food is something different. Even down to the spoons that they give you being something that I had never seen before. I vote Best Food Truck in Richmond even for non-vegetarians. I like what other reviewers said about the fresh ingredients. They definitely taste that way!

Love, love, love this food truck! Always happy with my meal, regardless of what I order… very consistent with fresh, local vegetarian ingredients! Love the idea of quinoa and avocado on practically everything. Specialty drinks are totally yummy too especially on a hot day at the farmers market! Yum!

Love this place! Menu is small but everything is great. They serve lamplighter coffee and everything is vegetarian. If you’re a meat eater like me, don’t worry, the food is super flavorful. I think the prices could be better given the quantity you get but I’m still buying from here! Line can be long but it’s always quick. Packaging is post-consumer and everything is really healthy.

So good! I go to this food truck anytime I see them at an event. Albeit it’s been twice, but I love it. They’re also super nice, which is always a plus for me. I also love that they don’t use plastic utensils.

Thanks to Boho Cycle’s One Year Anniversary celebration I was given the opportunity to try this place. I think if it was just a passing by type of situation, I probably would’ve kept rolling on. That being said, I’m glad I had the opportunity. I ordered the Homestead bowl and it was pretty good. I’m not a serious avocado lover unless is guac with some mango or something… so i did eat around the avocado that was considerably placed on top of the my plate. I’m sure I could’ve asked them to forego that topping but I didn’t. The potato, sausage, egg, and sweet sauce definitely made this dish shine for me. My taste buds opened up the doors of heaven for this dish… when on first sight I thought it would be a straight ticket to hades. Just saying… Hence why you never judge a book by it’s cover. Anyway, should I catch this truck at another location I will probably stop by and grab a little something off the menu. I did not get to try their beverages, but I hear they are pretty darn good… so I will add one to my order next time.

Yay vegetarian food truck. Tastes very fresh but could use a little more flavor. Also the portions were on the smaller side in relation to the prices.

SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I would eat here every day if I could. The Mountain Tropp is beyond delicious. It’s filled with black beans, quinoa, arugula, apple/corn pico de gallo, cilantro lime topping, and sliced avocados. The ingredients make it seem like it could be bland but it’s one of the best tasting things I’ve ever had and it’s a dream come true if you are in to making smart food choices. Great place for vegans and vegetarians too. They also provide sriracha at the truck and it actually compliments the bowls quite nicely. Prices are decent. $ 8 for a large quinoa bowl, $ 5 for a small. Small is a little TOO small for me but I have the appetite of a large man. So maybe it will be enough for you. But for me it’s a snack so I go with the large. Wish they had an extra large. They accept cash and card. Find them on the VCU campus on weekdays until roughly around 2pm. I’ve had my eyes set on the tea each time I walk past but I’ve yet to try it. I’m making a mental note to get it next time I drop by, which will hopefully be soon. I think this is gonna be a weekly lunch spot for me whenever I’m on campus. You can also find them at the SOTJ market and occassionally at other events too!

I have stopped here both for coffee [which was delicious] and for lunch– a billy chili bowl. The small bowl is a plenty large serving for most people and comes with tasty greens and fluffy quinoia as a bed to serve the bean and sweet-potato chili. I could wish that the paper bowl was waxed, since I’m afraid it leaked a tiny bit, though thankfully not til after i had it set on a table, but the contents were ridiculously delicious, and well-priced, so I can’t complain much. The fourth star is waiting on the day that there is actually still coconut phở when I stop for lunch, which has yet to happen.
