Place is small but comfortable. Great patio. Drinks affordable. Karoake on Wednesdays. We watch all the college games and Rockets game there. Daytime is also fun.

Well so much for this place. My first visit was ok mostly because of the karaōke. Well since that visit, every time I go for the karaōke I am met with bartenders texting, not too be bothered by us stupid customers. Their beer tap is broke half the time, and the drinks have gone to crap. It is always dead in there and now they have cancelled the karaōke so now I have no reason to go. Wouldn’t expect it to be open another year.

You couldn’t pay me to go back there. My husband had been begging me to go here ever since we moved to the neighborhood. So we stopped by at around 6:45. They were supposed to be running happy hour until 7. When we tried to order happy hour drinks, the bartender said«oh it’s almost over»… Well we still had 5 minutes so we expected happy hour prices. Nope, we were charged full price for our two drinks. And I would not have stayed there for longer than one drink, because the bartenders were too busy texting, and ignoring customers to make me want to stay around. Overall this place is nasty, and I would rather drive into sugar land or Houston to drink.

Horrible place!!! My fiancé and I walked in ready to have drinks and hang out, no one even looked up to say hi, welcome or even give us a smile. The girl behind the bar looked our way a couple times but still never never said a word. My fiancé walked up to the bar to ask how to get to the patio, but she was still too busy to acknowledge him, she kept counting her drawer and completely ignored him. He finally asked her and he was nice enough to answer him, pointing at the back door. Still no Hi or we’ll be right with you. We walked out to the patio and decided to leave after seeing the patio furniture cushions on the picnic tables. We were very disappointed and will definitely not be back!!! Don’t even bother stopping by .keep driving!!!

Cheap drinks is the one positive comment I have. On another note, the bartenders seemed to be bothered with customers above the age of 25. The place was pretty empty, so no worries about finding a place to sit. The bartender’s knowledge of wine was basically red or white. More attention to customer service definitely wouldn’t hurt The Grove Tavern.

The people were friendly and the drinks are reasonable. My only complaint is that the jukebox was turned up so loud there was no way to have a conversation.
