50% Off 50% Off 50% Off seen on almost every fabric display. Staff is friendly, but only 2. Store looks like they are in the process of moving because there are bolts and bolts of what could have been sellable merchandise on the floor. Isles, ceiling, floor looks like building is ready for destruction. What a shame. Who would want to browse in a shabby retail setting? So if clean store space is not a turn off, you will find a huge(yet dirty) inventory. 1 star for the hard– working staff who are trying to make the best with what they have.

Went to this location because the midlothian store closed(what a shame). This location is small, unkept(home décor bolts haphazardly placed in an aisle where you couldn’t even walk between them to see the selection). I was there for quite awhile and never was asked if I needed any help. I’m not going to bother to make the 40 min trip again!

Since Joann’s Fabric has moved, «further out to the West End» and I don’t care enough about their sad clerks and sadder store to make the longer trip I’ve switched to Hancock. Honestly, it’s basically the exact same thing as the old Joann’s but a little bit less depressing and beaten down looking. They have a larger findings and notions section but no scrap booking section. They have eco-friendly stuffing and quilt fill, which I’ve never seen before. There’s also a large selection of remnants. Quilters take notice! There are large swaths of the store that appear empty to me. It’s not empty, all their shelf space is full… I have no idea why I feel like this store is having a tag sale all the time. They ARE having sales all the time though. Pretty much every weekend. This must be a trend in fabric stores. Nearly every time I go there’s a large banner strung on the front, «BLOWOUTSALE!» There’s a strange amount of clothing here, for a fabric store, and some random little project kits like, «grow your own strawberries». Stuff that doesn’t even have anything to do with sewing, but sure, okay. Anyway. It’s a nice enough place and it’s much, much less depressing than the old Joann’s so you should go!

I am a big fan of Hancock Fabrics! I was driving down this part of town and the fabric store caught my eye, so I decided to check it out and boy am I glad I did! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by rows and rows of fabrics, sewing accessories, quilting accessories, and other craft odds and ends. They have a lot of fabric with stylish prints and they have a multitude of different types of fabrics. Their fabric is also very affordable. They have a clearance section in the back which is great if you are looking to make affordable curtains. I will definitely come here regularly in the future!
