Magic Juan’s Barber Shop

Came in the shop got service right away, My head grow very differently from, Mexican, Black, etc Joe help me right away I ask for a Mid Skin Fade Oh my he blessed me in about hour, 20 $ might be a lot for a haircut but the time he took and how clean the shop is its worth the 20 $ I recommend everyone going to this nice shop.

Place is great! You can make an appointment, if you’re in a hurry. Conveniently off Hwy 80

Do not go here… I went to get a simple all even haircut. After waiting for 2 hours I received the worst haircut of my life. Just horrible. It has been over a month and my hairline is still gone. I am very upset and aggravated with the situation. I will never have the same hairline I once had. My new barber cannot even give me an edge up now. I warning you all. save your twenty bucks and go buy some clippers. You could do a better job than these so called barbers.

Hands down the most consistent service. My son is cut and lined perfectly every 2 weeks.

Just went to the shop for the first time this morning, I’ve found a new Barber and Barber Shop. The Shop is clean and very spacious, my Barber, named Go, got me right, and he was quick. No complaints at all. I will be back on a regular basis. Bout time.

Took my 2 boys (ages 11 & 8) for their cuts. Booked with Jordan the day before via phone and then confirmed again the day of via text. He is always so pleasant and does a great job on their hair! One son gets a fade and the other a taper with a slight trim. They look and feel great afterward! Of the very few times I’ve been here, I have never heard any profanity or otherwise offensive language. Jordan even chats with you and your child here and there.
I do understand what some of the other reviewers mean when they say they have waited a bit and might have gotten lost in the shuffle; this shop can get quite busy and with so many regulars it sometimes seems they may have forgotten about you. Just don’t be afraid to speak up, and if possible, make an appointment and ask your barbar what he/​she looks like so that way you can come in and remind him/​her directly that you are there for a scheduled service. On this particular day, we came in on a late Wednesday afternoon and the place was not busy at all. So I’d say try to come AFTER the 1^st week of the month, and on a game day or something. That way not as many people will be coming in.

I was pretty excited to try this place out. I came in and waited. And waited. And waited. No one asked me what I wanted. No one even looked at me. After 4 other people who came in after me got haircuts I decided to check the Unilocal reviews on my phone. After seeing that others have had the same experience i realized I would never receive any service so I left. I think they are great at helping out regulars but if you aren’t already a part of their club it seems you get ignored. It’s really a pity because I was looking forward to getting a haircut there. I will give them 2 stars just for the environment. But if the place wasn’t so nice I would give it zero. :-(

I had the pleasure of getting a fresh fade and beard edge up by the one and only magic Juan when I stayed in the bay. Let me tell you — dude has precision, his skills are on point, and fades n lines were crispy. I live in So Cal, wish he was down this way. Highly recommend him.

I truly was looking forward to my first visit to Magic Juan’s. Based on all of these wonderful reviews (which I mean not to shun or disregard) I knew I had to come to this place. When I arrived I sat down and I was surprised at how roomy and nice it was inside, from the outside it seems like a pretty small place. The barbers seemed very professional and the people getting cut seemed very pleased. The problem with my first experience there was that one main barber (magic juan perhaps? based on having seen a picture of him on the wall) looked at me very strangely. Then I noticed how he had assisted a man who walked in after me, before me– I assumed he had an appointment– ok. But then when he finished with that guy, he looked at me again and motioned his hand to another barber– as if refusing to assist me, and assisted the second man who was the last to walk into the barber shop! Immediately I asked one of the barber’s if I needed to make an appointment, he was like «umm, naw, george?[another barber].» the barber said that «george» had me. Ok. Sadly I didnt know who george was for when every barber finished they’d take on someone else BUT ME. I can;t imagine what I could have possible done to be treated so unfairly. Could it be my skin color? or is that too ridiculous?
I don’t want to negatively affect a thriving business just solely based on my review and my experience, perhaps juan had a bad day! Things happen and I know for sure that when I have a bad day I talk to no one– but try to be respectful! It truly is a shame that I was treated so strangely/​unfairly… I left after 30 minuted of waiting patiently.

Everyone in the bay needs to come to Magic Juan’s! The best barbers around, they can do whatever, tapers, fades, Mohawks, razor lines, designs, Afros even girls haircuts you name it! Reasonably priced too (can’t go wrong there)

Good vibe… and experienced barbers… not to mention there are tv’s here…
