Merrymaker

I can’t pass a stationery store and this was no exception. Their selection was small, but you can order things which is great if you’re not in a hurry. I want to support local business so I picked up a few items but nothing about the staff, store, or selection would inspire loyalty in me. It was very, «I work here» service and not, «I has a passion for my job,» or, «I want you to feel good about spending money here, give me a lot of it.»

If you want something done right, then hire a professional to do it! From the beautiful invitations that Heather helped design to the other printing needs we had for our event, the job was not done until I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend Merrymaker’s for stationery, printing, and design. They were great to work with.

Do they have great selection of cardstock? Yes. And they do have a great old typewriter to play with.
But the biggest problem is the style of printing they do here. Printmakers have a long and storied history, that is worthy of long coffee table books to enjoy. But this printmaker does not do the profession of printmakers justice.
This place has gone the way of modernization and Internet. It’s all printed on a laser printer…
Go do yourself a favor. Buy their card stock then print it at home or at your office.
Or find something more deserving of the term printmaker online.

My family and I have been shopping at Merrymaker for close to 20 years! Bill and Myra are great, and their selection of party invitations is the best. Even after moving to NYC, I still call them for all my invitation needs. They are able to pick out just the right motif for any occasion.

What I love about this shop is that it feels like the folks who run it really know their business. It is a warm environment and the shear number of «things» there is to look out is often overwhelming.
Note cards, stationary, writing paper, invitations, announcements, custom stationary, party invites, custom place setting cards, custom napkins, whimsical gift tags… if it is paper, they have it here… or can find it for you.
Of most interest to me was the custom-​designed monograms that this shop will do for you. They have a local artisan who comes up with your logo and it effectively becomes «yours» (see photos). they carry the big names in stationary such as Crane, Kate Spade, Wren Press among others. The owners are as sweet and fun to spend time with as it is to pick from all the great items they have available.
Shop local and find this gem of a store before you next big event! Nothing says upscale elegance better than nice stationary and a hand written note! Your mother will be proud.
