My experience with Paper On the Avenue sums up why I always love shopping at small locally-owned businesses. I had been on the hunt for an Emily Ley planner for weeks. Unfortunately, the distributor was out of stock online. I tried to order online through a few other boutiques only to find out they were sold out. I saw that Paper On the Avenue sold the planner but they didn’t have an online shop. I sent a Facebook message through the owner to see if they still had them in the store. Not only did they have them, they were 75% off. I was planning on taking a trip up to Northern Virginia from Virginia Beach that weekend anyway and decided I would stop in. Without me even asking, the owner put my item to the side to make sure they didn’t sell out. The store itself is quaint and filled with adorable stationary items! The owner was so friendly and walked me over to the display to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the product. I wish I lived closer to this little adorable shop! It’s a stationary lover’s dream with honestly some of the best customer service in the entire state! Whether you live in Richmond or are just traveling through, I would highly recommend a stop. I know I’ll be stopping by next time I’m in town!

This is a great place for stationery. I went in to find some Filofax items, but they didn’t have many things remaining. I was a little disappointed, but the staff made up for that. The staff was really nice and engaging. The store was filled with great things. There great stationery items as well as papers. They had some great Kate Spade items as well as things for The Simplified Planner. They had MK Brand washi tapes as well as GellyRoll pens as well. I was pleased with the great staff and wonderful stationery items as well.

Paper on the Avenue is a great little stationary store, with some great options for wedding and special event invitations. They can also do personalization for any paper products they sell in the store, which is an awesome way to customize paper gifts… The selection is very high-end, though I thought their prices were very reasonable. I was totally taken with some of the Crane stationary they were carrying– a better selection than anywhere else I’ve been recently. I was looking for invitations for a 60th birthday party, and I found some great options in this store. They would have printed them for me within a week(which is pretty fast) and I could have done the whole project for under $ 40. Doesn’t get much better than that.
