I heard that there was some great Virginia ham here at Padow’s and feel like I was sorely misled. I had ordered the Padow’s Smithfield ham biscuits to go, and instead of having it made fresh, they just picked out a prepacked sandwich and heated it up. I would have accepted that if the sandwich itself was any good. However, this was the saltiest ham I ever had in my life. It was so salty, all I could taste was salt. On top of that, I thought I was getting biscuits not dinner rolls cut in half. White dinner rolls do NOT equal biscuits. While staff were nice and friendly, my taste buds found it to be a disappointing experience.

This place makes some of the tastiest sandwiches around! I tend to get the padow’s special or the standard turkey sandwich, non-toasted. The white bread is so soft and fluffy– I’ve tried the wheat, but it tasted rather stale. What brings me coming back is their macaroni salad, I’m pretty sure the secret ingredient is a dash of crack. It’s so darn tasty, I can never get enough! Thank god it comes in a small cup! The staff here is very friendly and Bob at the register always has a nice smile on his face!

Passing through from California and this deli is top notch. Way better than the big store chain restaurants.

Came for lunch and got a good meal for a great price. The good thing is that they have a large selwctuon of sandwiches and an assortment of other goodies. I loved the banana walnut bread so much I took some extra back to work. Good food great price and outside seating available.

I stopped in to Padow’s on Saturday to have lunch with family while I was visiting for Easter. I decided on #33 The Padow’s special: Country Ham, Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo. I love the saltiness of the country ham on a sandwich. The wheat bread was lightly toasted. I liked it but it didn’t «wow» me. It was a tasty sandwich for sure. The pasta salad was forgettable and I probably shouldn’t have gotten a side at all as none of them looked super appealing. However, the people who were there were fantastic. Extremely friendly and provided great customer service. For the service and a A-OK sandwich, I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Local business — staff was super friendly! I am on a Reuben kick lately so tried the one here for lunch with Utz chips and it was awesome. I highly recommend eating here instead of the local chains!
