I met a friend at Plaza Azteca last night. I had actually been to the one near VCC and had a great experience, so I thought I’d try the one on West Broad. For our meal, I had the sliders and my friend had the beef enchiladas. Both were horrible and tasted more like a beef blend or substitute. In all fairness, my froend said that her chicken enchilada was pretty good. The free chips were good and hot, and although a little watery, the salsa was alao tasty. I believe in giving 2^nd chances. So, I’ll definitely go back but will probably stick with a chicken or shrimp meal. And probably a margarita… maybe that would have made the meal a little more palatable.

I’ve been to the w broad street Plaza a few times, and each time the customer service is stellar! Unfortunately, the drinks are always underwhelming, as I sit here, sipping on my warm Patron Margarita, trying to figure out how a drink on the rocks is warm, but not having the heart to tell the nice lady… nooooo groooosssss. The atmosphere is nice, good size bar, great for ppl watching and hanging with a few friends.

Having lunch, by myself, and I was asked to «cash out» because the bartender was going on break. So it took forever but when he showed up, before doing on his break I asked if he had a receipt and change for me. I gave him a $ 50 bill and he said they did not have change for that but it was okay cuz it was only $ 3 short of my change.
I have never screwed ANYBODY out of a tip before in my life. But when you pull this crap, …
«Tipping», just became a town in China.

We enjoy eating at Plaza Azteca. The service is usually very good, house made guacamole prepared table side is to order, do you can ask for it as mild or as hot as you like, and it’s is amazing. The margaritas are well made and strong. Burrito Mex is awesome, if you want something on the light side, the La Flaka chopped salad is really good. It can get a little loud, but otherwise a great choice for dinner if craving Mexican food.
