Purify

I’ve been to Purify twice now and I’m looking forward to going as much as possible. First, the owner and staff are super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The space is clean and you feel special. But second, and most important, I feel great after going to Purify!
The low down…
You are taken to a private room with your sauna where you are given a wrap (snap) body towel, an extra towel, and a cold washcloth. Once you undress to your comfort level, you enter the sauna for 40 minutes. You have a timer, but can leave early if you want. It’s nice that the sauna is already on, so you don’t have to worry about turning it on or off. There are color therapy lights you can turn to a certain color or leave off. I use to time to meditate and stretch. You’ll start sweating pretty soon since it’s around 135 degrees, but as someone mentioned, it’s not a painful hot, it’s relaxing. If you’ve tried it, think hot yoga without the humidity. Once you are done, you towel off, get dressed and leave. Be sure to bring water for during and fill up on your way out… you’ll be thirsty on your way home.

Clean space, quiet and the lady at the front desk was very nice. When i walked into my infrared booth i thought to myself… wow this inst that bad. Then after about 5 mins i was sweating like crazy. This is way better than the saunas at the gyms — its not a painful heat. I literally felt lighter leaving Purify and even the next day! I will be back!

I absolutely loved this place. It was very peaceful and energizing. This place is so clean! I would definitely give this as a gift to a loved one.

Was brought here by a friend during a recent visit to Richmond. I’m a little skeptical of «health & wellness» fads, but the infrared sauna session was fantastic! You’ll leave feeling lighter, less stressed, healthier and of course, sweatier. The space is uniquely designed and in pristine condition – very sterile and clean. They also have a ton of great products. I picked up some all-​natural face wash and apple cider vinegar. They also sell a fantastic bottled tea that is a must try! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Wish we had a location in D.C.
