I’d never taken a class like this before or done any barre so I dropped in on a free class. When I saw the teeny barbells I thought the class would be a piece of cake. Wrong. With little movements and little weights you’ll be feeling the burn. Jennie is great at demonstrating and correcting your technique. She makes things look easy but it’s definitely a real workout. I did this class back to back with a Brazilian butt workout and couldn’t walk properly for 3 days. Give this place a shot if you aren’t into extreme things like crossfit or bench presses or have previous injuries. It’s an intimate little studio and you’ll feel comfortable no matter what level you’re at.

This was my first barre class with Jennie. She made it fun and was careful to take special notice to focus points using our arms and legs. The gym was comfortable and had the perfect balance of mood lighting and exercise jams for the workout ahead. The shelves were fully stocked with weights of all sizes, exercise balls and mats. I’m glad we cleaned our own mats at the end, I’m a stickler for sanitary work spaces! I am feeling it the burn the day after in a good way and will definitely be back for more!!! Thanks so much Jennie!

I have taken barre classes with Jennie for about 3 years. Her classes are very engaging and not intimidating. Don’t get me wrong, she kicks your butt! She just never makes anyone feel self conscious, provides individualized support, and attracts very down-to-earth people into her studio. I’ve dropped 20 pounds, several dress sizes, and regained my stamina. I highly recommend Range of Motion fitness for folks at all fitness levels, whether recovering from an injury or managing a diagnosis, even folks in peak condition will be challenged. Her personal training sessions are amazing because she keeps you guessing and getting stronger with each visit.

I found this place on groupon, realized it was walking distance from my house and decided to give it a shot. This was my first experience with barre method and it is an AWESOME workout. It combines yoga, pilates, and ballet, all of which I’ve done separately, but never like this! The owner and primary instructor is Jenny who is knowledgeable and friendly. I felt welcomed and comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. Do not let unfamiliarity with barre method be a deterrent to trying this place out, it is very welcoming. The studio is one room in a larger building. It gets lots of natural light, the equipment is all in good shape and very clean. Class size is never more than around 6 ppl so you get plenty of individualized instruction. The sign up and payment for classes is all online and very easy to use. Classes are once or twice a day and early/late enough to go before/after work. Jenny also has an area set up for individual personal training. For now I plan to do barre classes regularly here and maybe as my wedding date approaches splurge for some personal training. There is plenty of street parking. The area around the studio is still pretty industrial and dead at night. If coming for an evening class I recommend driving and parking and not walking.
