I’ve been multiple times. Have had a great experience each time. As have those I’ve gone with.
The look and feel of their rooms is amazing. It really sets the mood. Each time there have been numerous puzzles, riddles, and clues to find and solve. Each time it has been so unique. I’ve yet to have where one room was too similar to others.
If your looking for something fun to do with some friends or coworkers try this.
The staff has been friendly.

Super fun! A great alternative to your typical outing of bowling, eating, etc. While our group didn’t «escape» (womp womp) we still had a really good time! It makes you think outside of the box and really look at things differently. The best part was the staff! Very engaging, friendly and helpful! Looking to return and take on a different room with my co-workers!

Went on 2÷13÷16 with my family and wife (5 people) and were joined by 2 couples to complete our adventure. We did the crypt room and had a blast! Initially I was afraid that my mom wouldn’t like it but it turned out to be fun for everyone. I don’t want to give too much away but the staff were friendly and helpful with their 3 hints and I would definitely go back if I’m in town.
Tip: register as a large group (10) so that you know everyone. That or introduce yourselves before you walk into your adventure because otherwise you’ll have no time.
And yes, get there early because they have not only free beer but ice cream as well.

Held a team-building event and must say, the clues and answers were HARD! Had to use my inner Amazing Race :) Not complaining as I feel that’s how it should be and they will tailor to your desired level. I would highly recommend, and will use again!

First of all the address is wrong. It’s 7025 and you get to it from the back side (there is parking in back). We did the Plato Cave and absolutely loved it.
This room you start in absolute darkness and handcuffed to a table. The goal is to escape in 60 minutes. This is a more challenging course and only allows 4 players — bring friends and have a blast.
We escaped with about 30 seconds left. We will be coming back to try another one soon!

Amazing! I did 2 rooms for a corporate event and came back for more later that night! I’ve done escape rooms before, but this is probably the most immersive rooms I’ve ever done. This group has shown a passion for these escape rooms that translates into enormous fun. Highly recommended for anyone of any age!

Did the Plato’s Cave room which was cool because I had never done a room in the dark before. Was really cool other than one prop in the room they hadn’t adequately reset. Made it a little frustrating, but we still managed to escape with a few minutes to spare. Definitely still worth doing if you’re in the area.

A blend of the Davinci Code, Amazing Race, and The Goonies. Get your packet, solve the clues, obtain your prize. Ready, set, go!
I set up a teambuilder for my department with Ravenchase in October. Everyone raved about it afterwards. We had 6 teams of 5 and picked the Museum District/Fan challenge. The clues were solvable, but not elementary. You also don’t need to bring your smartphone. It won’t help.
If you are the one coordinating the event, have them set up your adventure to end close to a bar. You will want to talk about the challenge, clues, and even characters along the way.
I think our department has found a nice annual event. The losing teams wanted a rematch. Until next year.

I love Ravenchase Adventures. If you like the show the amazing race, you’ll love them too. Races like the Greater Richmond Region Adventure are so fun and give you both a physical and mental challenge. Even if you don’t win, (you probably won’t) the adventures are totally worth the price. Ravenchase prints up awesome maps & clues, gives you a T-shirt, ends with a party, and lets you explore your city in a new way.

Every April, Richmond gears up for the Greater Richmond Region Adventure, a DaVinci-code-style race where local teams scour the city and surrounding areas for clues hidden at historic sites, monuments, museums, and the like. This local fave is part of Tourism Week and is co-sponsored by the Richmond CVB, but the cool event is produced by Ravenchase.
The owner of the company created her first adventure for her three young brothers when their mother was very ill. She wanted to give them something else to focus on and to inspire them. Now the company produces adventures throughout the world, and even if you’re not here for the GRRA, they can plan a custom treasure hunt for you or you can join one of the other annual events in the region.
