being a big fan (yet picky) on Thai food, I had to try this place out after realizing they served papaya salad & crying tiger.
I called in an order of
*crying tiger
*papaya salad
*fresh spring rolls
*beef salad (spicy)
I was a bit disappointed to find out they weren’t serving papaya salad the day I ordered, which was really the only reason I chose to eat there was because they served it, but in the end I still stuck with the decision, and I’m glad I did. the food was DELICIOUS, just enough sour, saltiness, & spice in everything that had to have it.
I didn’t order anything hot, so everything was just right by the time I came back home to eat the food
(I did carry out instead of dine in)
I recommend it, it’s a great little local spot, good flavor.

We had fried calamari and I got mixed seafood pad Thai. The food was really good but the service was just … not. The owner claimed he could not run my card because of the chip in it. He refused to try swiping it. Instead, he demanded an alternate card and, when we finally gave him one, he ran it, then shouted across the room, demanding the PIN number! I’ve never encountered anything like that before. (And I used the card at another store immediately afterwards– it worked just fine.) If you eat here, I would recommend you do carry out and bring cash.

Love this place for Thai food it’s good but the price is really on the more expensive size for the amount you get at times it’s a hit or miss but for the most of the time their are very good must try their wild boar and the sticky rice with mango so good

The food here is very authentic and GOOD!!! The service can be bett which is the only thing keeping them from a 5 star review. Not bad service at all. Just didn’t live up to my standard.

Food is no better than Tara Thai in Short Pump and I went in with the expectation that service was going to be subpar at best from other reviews, but wanted to give it a try. Service was awful and rude! When I go out to dinner and pay 20% plus for a tip I expect at minimum decent service. This is what brought it down to a 2 star vs 3 star. Portions are small and look out of place on a dinner plate. I definitely would not return again as does not offer anything that you cannot get at another Thai restaurant.

Two and a half star food coupled with one-​star service. Drunken noodle (chicken) with one pepper was so spicy my wife could not eat it (and was more spicy than my two-​pepper wild boar basil). Spring rolls were nice and fresh, but steamed dumplings and tom yum were both sub-​par. Waiter was completely out of it. When I reminded him to bring my beer, he replied «oh ready for another?» It took a short conversation to explain that I had never received the first one. Final blow was when waiter filled my half-​full beer glass with water. Without apology, an offer for a beer on the house, or to remove the beer from my check, I would call that a major foul. Will not return sadly.

I really love the food here. I really hate the service. It’s quite a predicament.
Close to home and close to work, it’s always my go to place. The food is very good and it can be very spicy (which I love) without sacrificing those complex flavors.
The interior of the restaurant is clean and spacious. Not exceptionally warm or comfortable, but totally clean and appealingly colorful. There is a bar in the back which seems used for employees only. (I sat there once to have a drink while I waited for take out and it felt like a faux pas– the man with the pony tail actually made a huffing noise when I asked for a drink and the other take out patrons stood behind me lined against the walls, despite all the other seats being available)
They claim to deliver but don’t actually in any reliable means. We will order from work for 20 or 30 people and are actually surprised when they do deliver. On the more frequent occasions When we pick it up, the man with the pony tail can almost always be counted on to complain about individual bills. This will happen 2 – 3 times a week.
So the con is crappy service from one guy who seems to be in a managerial position.
The pros are great food. Really pleasant staff otherwise. That makes 3 stars, though really it’s 4 for food and 2 for service.

Delicious!!! Don’t let the exterior fool you. Their food is yummy. Great take out and great to just eat at the mellow bar area. Friendly attentive staff.

Very nice quiet clean restaurant. There were not many people at the tables as we had a late dinner, but became evident that this is a local favorite at every other minute a customer came in for a takeout order. As a fan of thai food, I was not disappointed.
The service was very friendly. The food was excellent. If you don’t like spicy, be sure to specify mild as some dishes are spicy. I really enjoyed the wild boar basil entre.

Great food for a great price! Have had the green curry (spicey but so delicious!) and chicken pad thai and both did not disappoint. Lunch and menu prices differ by roughly $ 1, and the food has always been incredibly fresh and hot for take out. Highly recommend!
