I ordered a chai latte and I swear to god it was nothing but hot water and burned cinnamon. This chai was so aggressively spicey, it burned the back of the my throat. I will most definitely not return.

New coffee shop! Yay! Staff was a little slow with the new register but otherwise friendly and attentive. I had the Super Bowl(quinoa and kale topped with a fried egg) with and Americano. Delicious. Wife had the Breakfast of Champions(toast, eggs, and hashed potatoes) that came out prefect but the potatoes lacked seasoning. Worth the stop in an otherwise drab stripmall. Lots of healthy choices and great coffee.

I’m always looking to try out local coffee places in lieu of the major chains. My thoughts are only for the coffee as I have not tried the food. The prices are high for the coffee, but they serve Lamplighter coffee and I found it to be of good flavor. The atmosphere is comfortable with music playing and isn’t the«hippie» atmosphere you occasionally find at local coffee houses. The price for a regular 12oz coffee is a little steep, but if they offer free(or reduced price) refills it would be worth it. The staff both times I was in there were very friendly and pleasant.

I’m so happy to have a local coffeeshop in this area, especially one with vegan food options! I come here all of the time. Their chai with almond milk is the best I’ve had in Richmond. The only qualms I have are with the food — the vegetarian/vegan options aren’t clearly marked on the menu, and the few choices that exist are mostly tofu. The non-veg options look really good, so the lack of really great veggie options is disappointing. That being said, the coffee is seriously delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for studying or reading. I bring my friends here regularly and recommend it to all of my friends in the area.

Great location, easy to park. Nice to have an alternative to the big chain café in this corner of the west end. I have ordered a few different hot beverages, breakfast, and ice cream in my visits so far. I thought the coffee was great, served very hot(who likes a lukewarm latte??)! The vegetarian(vegetables and cheese) omelette was also delicious. The menu had several other vegetarian dishes I can’t wait to try. My favorite part was the ice cream — best I’ve had! They have unique flavors, I believe I had coconut with banana. Carve out longer than you think you need if you have somewhere to be in the morning, and you want to sit down for coffee/breakfast here. This is not«fast food,» I am led to believe it is made fresh, and I am happy to wait for that. And there’s always a table or a comfy chair to sit in, no awkward huddle of people grabbing at coffee cups.

Been in three times since they opened for coffee only, beautiful décor, friendly and attentive staff. Look forward to eating there soon! One very minor suggestion, for Expresso and Latte’s purchase a better quality Expresso bean, the one currently used really misses the mark. other wise very promising new café’

Great little neighborhood spot. Went there today for the first time and had the Westham panini which was very good along with a side of the goat cheese and cheddar grits. The only thing I would say is its kinda pricey for the panini at $ 9 which doesn’t come with chips or anything… homemade chips as a side with each panini would have made it perfect.
