I went here today to get the spines cut off of three books and then have them spiral bound. The lady working was rude about it when I asked for this service. She gave me a weird look like why on earth would I want to do something like that(well, it is because I am a medical student and these are review books for the USMLE that I will be taking in a couple of months, and it is much more efficient to be able to to fold the books back on themselves and lay them flat than to be constantly having to hold the books open on a certain page without them closing back on themselves). Anyway, after that, she said«Well I guess we could do that but I have no idea how to charge you for it, I’ll have to wait for my manager to come in before I can write you a ticket.»(She had already told the lady in front of me she would have to wait for the manager to come to do something for her, too). So it seems like she wasn’t trained very well to do her job — but she had an attitude like she just didn’t WANT to do her job. Then, she asked me when I needed them by. And I said as soon as possible. And then she gave me another weird look and said, «Um, it’s gonna take me a long time, I can have them done before we close today. maybe 6pm?» And I reluctantly agreed to let her take the books even though I thought that sounded utterly ridiculous to take OVEREIGHTHOURS to unbind and then spiral bind three books that aren’t even that thick(my other friends have had this service done before and it took only 5 minutes for one book, for example). What made it worse was that it wasn’t even busy — only me and one other customer were there. I then went to my car and called the Fedex location just a couple of minutes down Broad Street from this location. They said they could do it in less than half the time that this Staples location quoted me and they hadn’t even seen the books yet. I hated to be in such a hurry to have these done, but I needed to be studying from these books and not just wasting the whole day waiting for them to be spiral bound. So I went back inside and told the lady I found another place who could do it much more quickly. I went to Fedex and experienced EXCELLENT customer service there and despite them being very busy in comparison to Staples, they had my binding done very quickly. TL;DR — I will never return to this Staples for anything — absolutely terrible customer service!!!

More often than not, this place does not have the best customer service. They have what I need, but they can’t check me out at the speed I desire, e even when it’s not that crowded. Once they only had one employee handling the mail and printing station but five people needing help. I was not the last once but I waited well over an hour to be helped, and all I needed was to laminate three short pages, which took all of five minutes. I wanted to leave but I was told«someone will be with you shortly.» They do have other employees doing nothing. It seemed like they weren’t trained to help us, but they really should be. This is just one instance of multiple slow customer service moments. I always tell myself I won’t be back, but I just love Staples too much.

Worst experience ever. I needed a banner. I called the store to see if I could get it quickly. They said they don’t do anything over 2 feet long in the store, so I’d have to get it done online. So, I ordered it online. When it arrived, it had no stitching or grommets. I called the store and asked if they could add it there. I didn’t know that you had to ask for that separately. I have ordered banners before and they weren’t a special order type of thing. The guy LAUGHED and said they are an additional charge, but I couldn’t wait for it because it takes 2 people to do that. So, I got there first thing in the morning so I could have the banner ready for later that day. There was no one in that department. No one. It took ten minutes for the rest of the staff to decide to do something about that. When the staff person finally arrived, she popped the grommets on right in front of me by herself. It took all of 2 minutes. The worst part of it was that the store was having a sale on banners. It said that the price was 40% off and they could do them the same day– including giant sized banners. So, everything Staples told me from start to finish was completely wrong AND it cost me a 40% discount. What a joke. Never again. I didn’t particularly like the store to begin with, but it’s office supplies. I can deal with a cramped, crowded store that doesn’t have a great selection if I just need paper. Not anymore.

I Love This location, it may be small, but it works for me. I live close by so this location is always key to get copy jobs done in the time frame that it states. I’ve tried the Willow Lawn once for a copy job & was rudely put off & told it would take longer if I waited. I took my copies & heading to this location & was in and out in no time. So this is the location I will stick with.

Worst Staples store been too. It is too small and cluttered. They do not carry the full range of products, beware!

Don’t go here in you’re in a hurry and want to be helped! I was in a hurry on a Saturday morning. I found the paper I needed and as I walked by a sales associate in the back of the store(who was sitting on the counter, staring out the window), I decided to ask her where the manila envelopes were to save some time. She responded, «Well did you try the ENVELOPE aisle?» in an extremely snarky voice and glared at me. I was completely taken aback and responded that I was in a hurry and was hoping she could just point me in the right direction. She said, «Aisle 15, I think.» I found the envelopes and waited in line behind 4 other people as 1 sales associate checked us out.

Does everyone else love office supplies as much as I do, or is it just me? I can stay in a Staples for hours just looking at the neat stuff supply designers come up with… and in such an array of colors! Of course, Staples has pretty much everything, and this location at Willow Lawn is no different from any other. Nice, helpful staff.
