My normal Starbucks. Baristas are always pleasant and my order is always right. Being that it’s in a note the line can get long but they breeze right through it. Only negative would be that it’s not a «real» Starbucks so you can’t redeem rewards there but you can use them.

I only stop at Starbucks to get breakfast because I don’t like their coffee/tea, and I was initially hesitant to stop in this one because of the long line. They are connected to the lobby of the Omni Hotel, and if you’re part of their Select Guest program you get a free drink the morning of your stay. This, coupled with the fact that their are offices in the building as well, means this place is pretty busy in the mornings. That being said, the line moved very quickly and the barista’s were helpful, patient, and friendly despite the crowds. I definitely prefer this Starbucks over others!

They are a «franchise» and make it known when you are trying to apply anything Starbucks related… no bonus stars on your Starbuck’s card for anything purchased in their shop. I have been twice out of convenience to my work and both times they somehow forgot my order!

Yeah, it is a Starbuck’s. But when everywhere else just sucks and here you get a friendly staff. That is why I love this place, the workers are just awesome!

A new low for Starbucks experience? In the lobby of the Omni Hotel. When you’re a guest you can get a complimentary morning coffee by hanging the card outside your door. They ask you to designate the time you want it so I said from 6a to 615a. I was up, ready to get in the shower but wanted my caffeine so I’m waiting. I decided to go ahead and shave… and I’m waiting. I decided to go a head and get my shower… It was a quick one. because i was waiting on the knock on the door for my coffee. The knock never came. So, I walk down to the lobby and decide to stand in line and order. Very simple, the bold roast, leave enough room for cream and a piece of banana nut bread, heated please. The coffee was filled to the brim… it was tepid and the bread was cold. By now the line is out the door. So I rolled.

Service at this location is terrible. Very unfortunate considering that the location is convenient to so many landmarks and offices in downtown Richmond. During my most recent visit, the barista couldn’t even get the correct pastry out of the display case, let alone get a coffee order right. Even with 5 employees behind the counter, the line of customers was allowed to stretch almost to the door with 3 of the employees not appearing to do anything related to serving their guests. There are to many other places in the area now that serve coffee and pastries with quick service for me to waste anymore time at this location.

Technically not IN the Omni Hotel I absolutely felt like it was my own personal one. Though I didn’t I’m pretty sure I could have room service deliver it to me if I was some kind of high roller. It’s actually just in the bottom floor outside the elevators of the building that has the Omni in it. YMCA, shopping, Arby’s etc. I don’t’ care I still felt pretty special staying at the Omni. My check in was actually a few hours away when I first belly’d up to a book and a green tea soy latte while I waited. Service was fast, consistent with most Starbucks around. No bathroom in house, but perhaps it’s because of the small size. Price was also consistent, but the energy was lacking. My breakfast sandwich was plenty melted, but bland and they didn’t offer enough healthy options like banana’s, etc. Plenty of street windows for a view, couches, book exchange, outlets on the far wall. Pretty standard all things considered.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks. I usually stop by before or after work. This Starbuck usually has a lot of professionals socializing because it’s located in the heart of the work district downtown. The service is fast and the employees are friendly. Theres seating inside as well as a patio area. When the weather is nice, the patio seating really comes in handy. The parking is not the greatest; I usually park in the deck. During the morning hours, this location can become busy. This Starbucks is a good location to enjoy coffee in downtown Richmond.

Starbucks like any other Starbucks. One main difference: it’s located in a building housing the Omni Hotel & a cluster of businesses, all in a high-rise. This coffee shop is located on the ground floor and accessible from the street. ‘Tis a convenient location for the nearby businessmen/women as well as the occasional student looking for somewhere to study. It’s got a fair amount of seating(cushiony sofas & actual chairs/tables) and Wi-Fi(albeit a bit slow). There’s also outdoor seating if you’d like. The bustling number of customers is primarily composed of those in business suits. My caramel macchiato was as good as any I’ve had, so no complaints on drink orders. Few notes: 1. Incredibly cold temperatures. They need to turn up the thermostat. Sitting in the space for 10 minutes is enough to cause some shivering. 2. Plugs. There are a couple located here and there against the walls. Not really enough. 3. Restrooms. None located in the shop itself but you may be able to use the Omni Hotel’s. 4. Noise. Not particularly loud, but not quiet either. Due to its no-door connection to the hotel, there’s a constant stream of noise coming from the hotel lobby or the open area next door. Overall, come for a quick-stop coffee and take a quick look around the Omni Hotel and business center. It is especially well-decorated around Christmas time.
