I went over to this place last weekend and bought 5 tacos one was a tripas taco wich cost me 1.75. My taco had no meat and i asked the lady to put some meat on my 175 taco and she got an attitude with me and said(well if u want more meat its more money!) And i said well it has no meat for u to charge me the 175 for that taco and she said«well its probably in youre plate with the rest of the tacos». so a grabed my plate and gave it to her and asked he where is the meat there is none on my plate and she got pissed and threw the meat into my taco… GOODFOODBUTFKDUPSERVICE…

My coworker likes this place better than Los Primos, probably because of the spiciness. But I think the quality isn’t as good and it’s much more oily. They’re still really good, but I prefer others. The people are really nice :)

The tacos are good. My kids like their burritos but on a Friday night it shouldn’t take 1 hour plus to get 12 tacos… i will never come here at this time. I only gave them a 2 and not a 0 because the tacos are actually good but not for the service at all!

Used to be a good alternative to the Jalisco truck around the corner, but they’ve been slacking on quality lately. Sometimes you get the good stuff, other times your meal is mushy and full of fat pieces. Customer service has gone down hill too. Haven’t gone to this place in about a month now since my last bad experience. Better spots to eat mexican in Richmond.

So, you like tacos? Rhetorical question. Everyone likes tacos. The question then becomes, how much do you like tacos? & how far would you go for a really great taco? Those are questions I’ve begun asking myself recently. You see, I’ve been to the top of the mountain. For tacos, that lofty peak atop Everest is Tacos El Gordo way down in Chula Vista. That is the gold standard by which all others are measured. For quite some time, I’d given up on finding its equal in the Bay Area. I may never find its equal. But I’ve decided to give it a go anyway. & I decided to start this taco quest in my own town of Richmond only a couple miles from my ‘hood. Tacos La Raza looked promising with a high average rating & mostly good(though less than a dozen overall) reviews. Driving up & parking on the street(though there is a parking lot, that was mostly empty) around 6:00-ish on a weekday evening, it wasn’t busy & there wasn’t any line to order. Looking over the menu posted on a sign outside, what I noticed 1st& most importantly is that they have Cabeza! Tacos de Cabeza are my absolute favorite taco. I got a couple of those & a couple Tacos al Pastor. The number of meat options for tacos on the menu are quite extensive so I’ll have to come back & try more. My order didn’t take long. The moment of truth… The Cabeza here is good, really good. I’d rate it 4.25 out of 5& say it’s comparable to the Cabeza I’ve had at Tacos Mi Rancho, the taco truck parked near Lake Merritt. This alone, for me, is worth coming back for. The Pastor was a letdown. Other Unilocal reviews praise the Pastor here, but I don’t see it(or more precisely, taste it). The Pastor seemed a little dry, a little overcooked, & under-seasoned. I’d rate that 3 out of 5. Other than the tacos, I also had a Horchata & took a Carnitas Torta to go. The Horchata was exceptional, hugely flavorful & creamier than any other Horchata I can remember(5 out of 5). The Carnitas Torta was just OK(3.5 out of 5). I’d rather have the same Torta from Las Montañas in San Pablo. Averaging it all out(a little over 3.9 out of 5), I’ll give Tacos La Raza 4 stars. They serve my favorite taco & they do it well. They also have a killer Horchata. It’s not the top of the mountain. But it’s also only a couple miles from home rather than the 500+ miles to Tacos El Gordo.

They used to be better, idk what happened. The tortilla doesn’t feel the same. Less meat. And its even seems seasoned differently. They are ok but they used to be 5 stars…

Best taco stand I’ve been to since moving here. They’re consistent, asada is tasty, and green hot sauce is good.

Best tacos in richmond hands down. I use to always go to 21st and then my girlfriend told me to try la raza and ever since I came i don’t go anywhere else! El pastor tacos are the best and their customer service makes you feel right at home.

This business deserves 5 stars hands down. True it’s located in a sketchy area in Richmond near Barrett. It can get a little dark in the parking lot it’s located. The good thing is that is located next to a big Mexican store. We usually go here in the weekends and the good thing is that there is always other people buying tacos. Now let’s move to the food. Their tacos are amazing. The cooks are really good! The tacos are flavorful and always served with a chile And lemon on the side. You can get your tacos alongside a Mexican coke, a jarrito, or other Mexican drinks. Knowing how much competition there is in Richmond, this place is one of the top taco trucks!

The place surrounding it is a bit shady, but if you want the best service and want great tacos or burritos this is the place. True gem! Al pastor tacos are great and they give you all the extras you need. It is amazing! Definitely coming back. Tortas are also delicious.

This is truly a hidden gem in the jungle, amongst all the other taco trucks and Mexican restaurants in Richmond. This place sits in the parking lot of the La Raza Market located on the corner of Mcdonald and 22nd. Love the Carne Asada tacos or super burrito. Best crispy tripas tacos in town. When you are feeling beasty, go for the Torta Cubano. Always super fresh and fast. Only thing I would add is some picked carrots.

Excellence. I live a couple blocks down and I’ve always passed this spot but never actually tried anything to eat. Every time I go, and I go pretty often; I order chicken tacos with everything + sour cream and cheese. The chicken is chopped, grilled and seasoned to perfection. The tacos are the right size and it’s definitely worth the pay. If the tacos are this good I definitely can’t wait to try their burritos.

Amazing burritos! They have a decent variety of Mexican food, but I can’t get past how amazing the burritos are. Everything is placed perfectly inside a soft tortilla so you never get a mouth full of just rice. There is a bit of a problem with the parking as it is attached to La Raza market in a busy area of Richmond, but it’s usually empty in the evening. If you go in the day, you can also grab some bootleg movies if you’re into that.

I’m not a huge fan of burritos, but when i tried it at this place I couldn’t have enough of it. My boyfriend and I come here often, with every meal they include something extra. For example with our super burritos we get grilled baby onions and fresh radish that happens to go perfectly well with the burritos and your choice of red/green salsa on the side. They offer variety of different meat choices as well as drinks. They are also open late nights, I definitely recommend this place.
