Went there for dinner. Good quick friendly service. Enjoyed the tasty noodle bowl I ordered. Will return again, and recommend to others.

Good service the Phở was great and fast. I dined in this time so as expected the food was much better. I was pleased again with the service and the atmosphere. I tried the Jicama Rolls as an appetizer interesting dish.

My go to for lunch and even dinner with close family and friends. The food is delish and close to what it was taste like up in Nova in Eden. I love the lunch specials, it’s a perfect portion. The servers and hostess are super nice and friendly. Clean and wonderful atmosphere. I will def be a repeating customer. Ps it’s never a completed meal without their egg rolls(any is perfect. I love the vegetarian crispy spring roll best!)

It was a real nice remedy for a not so good day we were having. We were looking for just a good soup, but what we got in the form of the wonton in egg noodle soup was invigorating and in plenty of amount to fill our tummy. The Spicy lemongrass stir fry with chicken and tofu was what the tongue exactly wanted. They had a very welcoming and warm entrance.

Had a great meal with the fam. Service was pleasant, the facilities absolutely stunning — clean, sparkling, no grime. The food was good — I enjoyed the lemongrass chicken stir fry. One of the others had phở and enjoyed it. Definitely will return!

CLEAN, stylish dining areas. CLEAN sauce bottles on tables! Extremely pleasant, attentive waitstaff. Been here a couple times & will definitely be back. Excellent hot & sour soup! Phở is fresh. Really no complaints! They seem to have their own style, not really a cookie cutter place.

I’ve tried all the Vietnamese phở places in this neighbourhood, and this is by far my favorite. It’s so much fresher and cleaner. Phở broth tastes healthier with less msg. Chopsticks not in the common area where any guests could touch. Crispy spring rolls have taro in it which makes them so much more legit! Meats are tender and flavourful. Indoor décor is also not very typical phở place like with a modern clean touch. Definitely recommend this place for all you phở lovers out there!

What a find! Came here for lunch and they have fabulous specials for $ 7.95 which includes the entrée, choice of fried or paper roll, and choice of soup. You will not leave here hungry. Have to say the Wonton Soup is the best I’ve ever had, lovely broth with fried garlic and cilantro. Wontons were delicious also. I mentioned this to our server and she said they get a lot of «Best I’ve ever had» comments. Deservedly so. The place used to be Aunt Sarah’s Pancake House and Tay Ho has done a great job turning it into a sleek, clean, and comfortable spot. Everything we had was delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try some more. Way to go, Tay Ho!

OMG! My Phở was amazing. First of all, the size of the portion is enough to feed a small village. I seriously thought it was a never ending bowl of broth. The taste was perfect. The broth was so yummy, I thought about just taking shots of it. There were plenty of noodles, veggies, and tofu as well. It was just a great dish. I also got the tofu spring rolls for an app. They were good, but nothing spectacular. The dipping sauce was pretty good. I will definitely be back soon.

I came here after an exhausting drive through insane amounts of water, ordered the Seafood noodle and an appetizer plate, everything was quite good and the soups broth was pretty decent. Nice lay out and the place seemed to be very organized and clean.

Better than I was expecting. Got the pork spring rolls, which were very nicely presented. The peanut sauce isn’t really a peanut sauce though. I split a phở dish and the BBQ pork bun with my step dad. They were both better than I had thought they would be – we normally go to phở so 1, but they were closed. I liked the phở, but I always like phở. The pork bun was good too, but a little bit too sweet.

Just ok. 2.5−3 stars. Fresh spring roll is ok, needs some herbs or something to brighten it up a little. Wonton soup is ok, standard soup with some fried garlic and spring onions. Lemongrass dish doesn’t taste very much like lemongrass, the lunch portion is pretty short on meat, don’t love cooked celery either

I have only tried their bubble tea from here, and it’s pretty good since they have a larger variety of flavors to choose from and are relatively cheaper than other places. I recommend the mango, durian, and taro flavors. On my most recent visit, I ordered one mango bubble tea and waited almost 15 minutes for it. Maybe it’d be better to call ahead? Overall, this place gets the job done for a bubble tea fix.

This place is yummy! I think the spring rolls are great fried or fresh. The prices are super reasonable as well. I usually eat here sometimes for lunch while traveling on business. I forgot how good this spot it. Since I’ve been for lunch a few times there never been a long wait… we get in… and get out. Being vegetarian it’s hard to find good food with texture… I can’t rant and rave about the other menu items but damn those spring rolls are good to me !

Passsed by this place many times during our trip and finally stopped in last night to give it a try. I am glad we did. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. The service is great. The food is great. Not greasy. I had the short ribs. Excellent! And must i say my 7 y.o. stepson who is very picky finished his grilled chicken with white rice. I am impressed! !!

Totally gone down today… beef phở and my favorite phở Ga were both bland. Lots of noodles without the authentic flavor ‘phở ga’ used to be. I loved the red onion in the soup, but that completely changed. There was also a different taste to the Boba tea, ‘pearl’ tasted like powder. Needs improvement back to where it was.

This might just be my new favorite spot for Vietnamese! The restaurant itself is brand new, beautiful and spotless! We decided to come here because a while back we were exploring Tan A Plaza(an asian grocery store nearby) and they have a minimum of what you can put on your card. We were about a dollar short on cash and the cashier said don’t worry about it! Bring it next time or better yet, visit her restaurant Tay –o down Broad street a ways. We thought that was so sweet so we did both(: Our server/hostess was amazingly attentive and must have filled the water glasses on our table at least ten times. I was a little wary when we walked in because the place is huge and there were only about two tables seated. I think it’s because it was a rainy Tuesday though to be honest. We started off as usual with Josh ordering fresh spring rolls and myself ordering fried. We switched one and one and Holy. Crap. These were the best rolls I’ve ever had. First of all, they were huge, wrapped beautifully and SO fresh. Just delicious. I was so pleased. I ordered Phở Ga(chicken) with no onions and it was so good. It tasted like it had a dash of cinnamon or allspice in it which I loved. Instead of the«mystery meat» broth flavor that you get a many junky Vietnamese places, this one tasted like the most unique combination of spices. It also had so much white meat chicken in it that I had to take half the bowl home! The boys got beef and onion broken rice dishes which I also took a bite of. The meat was amazing and usually I do not like beef at Vietnamese places. It was so thin and tender and rolled up around delicate slices of onion. Sounds like it would be a strong flavor but it was so balanced and I had never had a more pleasant texture of steak. The rice was so short grained that it was almost like cous cous(yum) and it cam with tons of accompaniments like fish sauce, salad, and a cup of delicious broth. Everything wrapped up nicely when our waitress asked if we would fill out survey cards because her boss really likes to know how we customers like the food and atmosphere. This was long winded but I would absolutely say you need to check this place out. I was so pleased and I will be back again in the near future for sure. I’m posting pictures too so check those out since everything we tasted was delicious.

Given how cold it was today, I decided to get some phở(plus, I haven’t had it in months). There are many many options when it comes to Vietnamese restaurants in Richmond, so I decided to try someplace new! Tay-Ho is a stand-alone restaurant, as is HUGE. It is very well-decorated, clean, and still looks very new. There were a few other diners during my meal, but the restaurant can accommodate many more. My waitress was extremely friendly throughout the meal and checked on me a couple of times. As for the food, I couldn’t pick between phở and bun, so I ordered both. BIGMISTAKE, because the portions were quite large. There is only one size for both categories of dishes, but for under $ 10, each was what I would call«large.» It was quite a struggle for me to finish it all, but I didn’t want any leftovers, so I managed to eat everything. In terms of flavors, I picked the fried eggroll bun, which came with three large eggrolls cut in thirds. It was a good dish overall, but I would have liked some more sauce(the volume was great, so the amount of sauce given left the dish a little dry). The phở was piping hot, as it should be, and the broth was decent. It’s been so long since I had phở in Richmond that I can’t remember how Tay-Ho’s compares to other places’ phở broths. I definitely would have liked a little more tendon and tripe though! Overall, another solid Vietnamese establishment with large portions but competitive prices.

I uploaded two pictures– The phở soup was too oily bubbles of fat were floating on the surface. Service was good. Staff are friendly.

I returned to Tay Ho today as it’s a short walk down the street from where I live. I went to see if some of the slight phở issues I experienced were any better during a lunch time, and also because I was in the mood for phở. Let me preface this update by saying that Tay Ho’s phở isn’t bad. I got the Phở Tai and there was plenty of steak in there. There were also a ton of noodles, albeit a bit clumpy. The main problems I experienced last time also were present this time. First, there are way too many onions. I love onions. But the amount of onions in the broth make the soup crunchy. They are thinly sliced onions and easy tangle with the noodles. They don’t taste bad, but there are just too many of them. Second, and the bigger offender, is the broth. After having tried about half a dozen phở places within a 5 mile radius of where I live, I have to say that the broth just doesn’t live up to some of the contenders. The savory broth at Phở So 1(either one) outshines Tay Ho. I think that they probably don’t let the broth cook with the cow parts as long as they should, or somehow dilute it more than others. It’s not a bad broth, it just tastes sweeter and more like a chicken noodle soup or light onion soup. Part of why I love phở is because of the broth, and that hearty beef and onion flavor that it provides, and I just don’t get that here. I still like Tay Ho and due to its close proximity I’m sure I’ll return here, but if you’re in the mood specifically for good phở, I’d recommend taking a drive down the road. If you’re after a nice atmosphere with a nice wait staff(really, the wait staff is always super friendly), Tay Ho has you covered.
