When I first tried I was blown away. I literally ate here three days in a row. I normally go with the steak and chicken. The chicken is fire roasted and super moist. Great place to eat and even better for catering.

Probably the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had! The green hot sauce is hot, but has flavor. Yuca… delicious. The salad dressing and the yellow sauce… keep it coming. Beans… also on point. I tasted my friend’s chicken sandwich and it was also delicious. I received all of this for less than $ 12.00. I will love this place forever and this only my first visit!

Ok… so I was so very impressed with Fiesta Chicken, I just HAD to have it again. I went and picked up dinner for me and my road dog(my hubby) after church. Like last time, I had the Fiesta Salad, but I’m sad to report that I had a wayyyy different experience. The chicken was as dry as the Sahara desert!(Thats pretty darned dry!) It was as if they covered my salad with the driest, hardest chicken scraps that they could find. Then, the salad was drenched in the dressing. Last time, they didn’t put enough, so I asked for more — — but on the side. Side bar: Be careful what you ask for!!! My hubby also said that his chicken was pretty dry. He let me sample it, and it was actually better than my salad. The yucca fries were still delicious, as always. I dont mind paying $ 20 for dinner. Especially when I dont have to cook on a Sunday night. But we practically threw the entire meal in the trash. My hubby treated me to a BIG ice cream sandwich from Wawa… THAT was my dinner. I rarely do this, but I will be placing a call to management tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted, fellow Unilocalers!

Fast friendly service, great rotisserie chicken with lots of yummy sides to choose from, and a bright clean space to enjoy your food… What’s not to like! I am definitely looking forward to going back the next time I’m in the Richmond area.

This place is awesome! The staff is friendly and hard working. The food is delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. I usually get the quarter chicken and ribs combo. The yucca is perfect so I get that as well. I used to live in Richmond and come here all the time but now I live around DC and miss it so much! Finally went down to Richmond today and knew I had to go, it was perfect! This is my favorite spot to eat in Richmond. The staff deserves a raise, but until then, tip generously!

It is sort of like a fast food chain but not. The food comes out relatively fast and surprisingly it doesn’t have the taste of a fast food chain. I ordered the chicken and ribs combo and was surprised. The ribs were well seasoned, and the rotisserie chicken was great. Usually, the center or closer to the bone on a rotisserie isn’t fully cooked but they managed to not only cook the chicken it was not dry. For my side I ordered the salad and yucca fries. The salad was more like lettuce, and the yucca fries were pretty good. They lost points on the atmosphere and salad. The chairs have holes in them and the place doesn’t look that great. But the food is really good. My friend got the rice and her rice looked a lot better than my salad and yucca frita.

With the name chicken fiesta you expect the chicken to be great and it is. What really surprised me was the steak and cheese. It’s amazing. Best in Richmond

You walk in and immediately smell the charcoal roasting the chickens. It smells so good. Everything is made to order and really fresh. I could only wish there was one in the Hampton Roads area. I could eat a taco salad everyday. They give you a lot of food(I wasted a lot). The employees at the counter are cheerful and don’t rush you to order. The wait was less 10 minutes. Overall a great experience.

My absolute favorite place for the chicken, fried yuccas and rice! I need to try something else on the menu(besides rib platter and chicken), but the flavors from the chicken are too good to pass by. The rice is amazing too; flavorful and cooked just right. Sometimes the chicken is dry so I use the sauces and eat jalapeños to make up for that.

Yum. Was so good nothing left to take a photo of. My youngest had the chicken tenders and loved them. My oldest had the chicken Sandwich which was extremely cheesy. I had the chimichanga and it was exceptional

Love this place. Very friendly service. Everything is very fresh and very tasty. It comes out fast. For real some of the best chicken I ever tasted. Clean with nice Mexican music, since I know salsa it makes me want to dance. Tasty milk cake. If you have not before you need to come here! The sandwich combo is only like $ 8 for a tasty sub like thing, fries, and a drink and you will see what I am talking about. Yes I also wrote this review for their West Broad location, since I find both locations great.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet! Consistently delicious and affordable, Chicken Fiesta is one of my favorite dinner spots. My favorite items are the combos which are all ridiculously low priced. Steak, ribs, 2 sides & a soda for $ 10.95?! Another good one is the steak & cheese sandwich, which is my husband’s go to meal. If you’re going to try anything, GETTHEYUCCA. Oh my, when I went to Chicken Fiesta for the first time, I was blown away by the fried yucca with the yellow sauce. It’s some kind of concoction of mustard, mayo and garlic and it is soooo good. Another lovely dish is the tres leches cake; so creamy and moist it’s more like custard than cake. Everyone who works there is so nice too. Just go already!

Welcome to a bit of the Peruvian cuisine right in the heart of the Richmond area! The first time I actually went to this restaurant was when it was located at its old location near the Marshalls and the Dollar Tree on Broad Street. A little bit smaller venue however was drawn in by the large open fire pit with the rotating rotisserie chicken. You could hear the music from the outside what you look like it was a fun and inviting atmosphere. Differently staff at the counter were very helpful and engaging the items that were very popular and also suited well with what combo dinner items were available to eat for that day. Since having eaten there the first time and if you times there after we’ve noticed that they finally changed their location for their up the street to a larger location a little bit closer toward to the road we’re at the previous location was pushed back in the back end of the strip mall area. Now this new location a bit larger and more inviting makes it a lot more of a family style restaurant still you will find the large open fire pit with the rotating chickens on a pit skewer. The music continues to invite and I’ll or customers drawing them into the smells and the sight of excitement with the food. I would suggest that if you were coming into the restaurant to definitely try a quarter portion of the chicken, yuca fries, and also getting a passion fruit or horchata drink. They have wonderful seating a clean bathroom and also a lot of the great sauces especially the green one which I could not tell you exactly what it is but is always my favorite to dip in with some yuca fries. So I would recommend coming in and trying some of the other entrée items and making this a must go to spot while you are in the Richmond area two thumbs up and a happy stomach!

This was my first experience dining at Chicken Fiesta. My boyfriend has been several time and loves it. For what it is, it’s okay. I had the veggie burrito. While the filling was very good and flavorful, the wrap was very soggy and chewy. I was eyeing the nachos my boyfriend ordered and I think when I go back that’s what I will order. The restaurant is very clean. And they have ample TVs in case you want to watch the game while you’re there.

Oh man, Chicken Fiesta. As soon as you walk in here the smell hits you — that gorgeous Peruvian roasted spice scent makes my mouth water every time. I thought I wouldn’t be able to find great Peruvian chicken in Richmond after being spoiled by it in NoVA but this place hits the spot. Fiesta is the definition of unassuming. Located on the Broad strip, surrounded by mediocrity, looking like a fast food joint in every way. But the food! I’ve been here three times and all times it’s been delicious. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned chicken, great yucca: not overly dry, perfectly crispy, piping hot. Big portions, too. Just go.

SOMUCHFOOD. I got he enchilada platter and there was tons of food. Reason for the four star review instead of five was hat they gave me all dark meat for my enchiladas while the person I went with got white meat in their sandwich. Not sure if this is something I had to specifically request but still had a decent meal!

I’m from Charlotte and I’ve been to some chicken places recently(Viva Chicken and Pio Pio), so I was really excited to try out this place. I had a great experience at Chicken Fiesta tonight. First off, the price for what you get is great. I got a ½ chicken with two sides for only ~9. That is usually how much I pay for a quarter of a chicken. I was also able to choose whether I wanted dark meat or white meat. Usually, they charge more for having a certain type of meat. The chicken was really tender and moist., almost falling off the bone. My favorite thing about tonight however, was the yucca fries. I really liked how they weren’t dry, and they were a perfect amount of crispiness. All the chicken places I have been to give a green and yellow sauce. I prefer the green cilantro based sauce usually, but I didn’t really like what they had here. It wasn’t creamy and most of it was kind of watery. I liked the yellow one so much better. I also tried the flan dessert. They have flan, fried ice cream and tres leches cake. This was my first time trying flan and I was definitely not disappointed. It was really creamy and jiggled just how I expected flan to jiggle. Next time I am in Richmond, I will definitely be coming back here.

Just as amazing as it was in the old location. Tres leches cake is amazing. Creamy, dense, not overly sweet. Chalupa salad with steak was awesome– tons of tender-yet-crispy steak, plus chips, avocado and tomatoes. But let’s be clear– it’s the steak that makes it. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that the beans and rice here are awesome– fresh and flavorful. And two adults can eat, with dessert, for $ 25. Far and away the best meal from a chicken place that I’ve had in years

Chicken Fiesta is my go to lunch destination when I have forgotten or was too lazy to bring my lunch to work. I always order the same thing, quarter chicken white meat with rice and beans with extra yellow sauce and the house tea or the Chicken Fiesta Salad. The food is always freshly made and delicious. For less than $ 10 I get my tummy and my taste buds get their fill. I am never disappointed when I leave here. I have to restrain myself from sucking the chicken bones in public, that chicken is that good!!! The house tea is so good, not to sweet with a hint of tropical fruit flavors. The restaurant is always clean and the servers friendly. Chicken Fiesta is and will continue to be a constant food staple in my life!

After hearing nothing but stellar reviews about Chicken Fiesta, I’m glad they opened up a second location on Broad which means I have added a new take-out spot near my house! «Pollo a la Brasa» or Peruvian chicken is charcoal rotisserie chicken served with addicting spicy Aji sauce and milky mayonnaise sauce; in short, it’s a total flavor bomb! We went with the Whole Chicken with sides of salad and yucca fries; the salad was okay and dressing-less(should I have asked for dressing???) but the yucca fries are the BEST I’ve ever had! Very fluffy and not fibrous like other yucca fries I’ve tried. And the chicken itself was amazing — perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and you get a ton of meat from the chicken. We actually used leftover chicken to make homemade burrito bowls the next day — LOVE repurposing leftovers and creating new meals, you’re really getting bang for your buck. There are tons of menu options at Chicken Fiesta, but I’m gonna continue to order their muy delicioso Pollo a la Brasa. Two big thumbs up!
