Always great to go here! Great service — super friendly — great drinks — love how old school but keeps things clean and updated. Food is always good.

Brunch here is amazing! Food is tasty and hearty and very affordable. Specials are always awesome. Coffee is great. Waitstaff is amazing, attentive, and very friendly without being overbearing. Very comfortable and chill vibe. Only downside is that it does take a while for food sometimes. But you’re at brunch! Brunch is for good company and taking a lazy morning! Sometimes it can get a little crowded when you go in the late morning because it is so popular!

Crazy to think I only live two blocks away from this place and had never been. Went last night and had a blast. The food was good, service was great, and love the small neighborhood vibe that it has. Will make sure to go more often.

The senate bean soup is a nice, comforting staples in a relaxed atmosphere. Great hushpuppies, mashed potatoes, and crabcakes. The sauteed vegetables are a bit oily, though. I love all the historic character of the building/interior itself. A bit odd the crabcakes are so expensive compared to the rest of the menu(20⁄38) compared to everything else on the menu(around 10 – 15) but they are tasty.

This bar/restaurant is an exceptional eatery. The crab bites with hush puppies were phenomenal. They have a great craft brew menu on tap, and the setting is intimate and affordable. Really great surprise and certainly a memorable destination.

Don’t get the obsession with this place. Been here on 2 dates : 1) Took 45 mins-1 hr for us to get breakfast(eggs & pancakes…). It was cold and portions were tiny for the price. 2) Waitress(overweight, blonde. No judging, just sayin shes not friendly) accused my date of being too intoxicated bc she pulled the wrong item out of her purse & made a comment about how pretty the waitress looked. She had 2 beers over 1 – 2 hrs, hardly enough for that type of treatment. We were incredibly offended & I haven’t been back since. If you’re going for $ 10 steak night on Mondays, save your $ & go to Sedona in Midlo for $ 6. Couldn’t even finish my steak here after being accustomed to Sedona Only pro is that the red haired waitress was very pleasant(healthy chest waitress, not bartender) Oh and the bathroom didn’t have toilet paper, so I had to use my hand. Jk about the last part. I had a smelly date.

Had dinner and drinks here and it was phenomenal. They’ve been experimenting with a «passport of flavors» theme with specials each week focusing on a different country. This weeks was from France, with a beef au poivre being the special, but the tilapia was the best part. It came with a blueberry gastrique sauce and two sides and was absolutely amazing. The Franklin Inn has long been a favorite spot of mine and this meal just solidified why I love it so much: great food, delicious drinks, and an amazing staff that always makes me feel right at home.

What a dump. Walls the most bilious shade of green, everything looked dirty and tired, bar stools an uncomfortable joke, food bland and blah, this place has NOTHING going for it.

Nice daily changes to the menu. Friendly courteous staff. I had fish and chips and the fish tasted fresh was very good and fresh tasting. Very generous portion. Another time I had a fish sandwich that was equally good. What a great neighborhood place this is. Highly recommend the Franklin Inn.

I really like this quite, neighborhood bar. The food is always delicious, and it’s in the coolest historical building. Honestly, we love to eat here — they’ve got something for everyone, and it really feels like everyone inside is your best friend. The conversations flow across the entire space, and everyone treats you like you belong. My only two cons: 1) The place is SMALL. It’s miniature. The tables are a little cramped and sometimes I don’t quite fit without moving the booth(I am a large man though). 2) If it’s a holiday, call ahead and make sure they have what you want! We got their on New Year’s Eve to find out it was a limited menu without our favorite items! We’ll be back to get those favorite things(Fried Zucchini, Burgers, among others), but I was disappointing when we weren’t told about the limited menu when the reservation was made!

Intimate and cozy. Awesome brunch, but the real charm is in the waitstaff. It is a friendly neighborhood style bar/restaurant tucked away in the museum district. It is a place where I can have a little too much red wine and nobody gives a hoot. Very laid back! Love the macaroni and cheese.

3 ½ stars for the food, 5 stars for the service. Enjoyed a casual brunch with friends on a Sunday. Eggs Benedict on a biscuit were solid. The Franklin eggs Benedict were alright. Good neighborhood spot with super friendly staff.

Definitely a chill spot for brunch or getting your day drink on. When we stopped in it was Saturday around 3 so they had an «in-between» menu which ended up working out perfectly and we ended up with awesome homemade jalepeno poppers and a BLT. Server was super sweet and attentive even though we weren’t regulars. This definitely feels like a «Cheersy» «everybody knows your name» kind of place, but don’t let that stop you from popping in for a drink or 10.

I love this charming spot on the corner of Franklin and Cleveland in the Museum District. A neighborhood gem! Tiny and cozy, jazz music playing in the background, beautiful décor. Great service. Stopped by for lunch today and grabbed the ½ sandwich and soup special for $ 8.95. The chicken salad w/bacon is to die for. Almost as good as mine! ;-) The tomato eggplant soup was okay. Small portion. They could do better. I also got a slice of apple pie. Also good. Their bottled beers leave a lot to be desired, but their taps make up for it. I’ve never been for dinner, but it’s on my list to come back.

Lovely café! Nice ambiance and kind people. The food was simply good and well priced. Meat loaf with red union and tomato relish was super tasty. Chicken salad on a sandwich was also good!

Cool bar, great Fan joint. It’s the kind of place I would go to frequently if I still lived in the Fan. Small bar, big windows, booths along one wall, and lots of interesting people moving in and out. They have my favorite beer(Stella) and many other local brews represented along with the usual suspects on tap and in bottles. Excellent choice of booze as well from Woodford Reserve, Hendrick’s, etc. I didn’t sample all, but I’m sure they’ll be available for future visits. I had the crab cake sammy w/slaw which included hush puppies. At first glance, it looked a bit small, but it was filling. Wife ordered up the grilled cheese w/fries. Both were at the table fast, and tasted good. Slaw was a tad to mayo-ey for my taste, but it didn’t stop me from eating all. We zipped in/out quickly on this trip, but on my next visit I’ll linger a bit, drink a few more beers and enjoy the Am-bee-Ants. Again, cool Fan joint. You can’t go wrong here.

My first visit to The Franklin Inn was yesterday for Sunday Brunch. There were 2 in my party and we were able to sit inside at a booth. As stated in other reviews, the interior is very quaint and feels like something out of the past. Décor aside, the booth was very narrow and cramped, and would have been uncomfortable if we had more people with us.(note, my companion was very tall and while he didn’t outwardly complain, I could tell it wasn’t comfortable). We ordered Bloody Marys(having been warned by others that the Mimosa’s were merely OJ with a splash of Champagne) and I was pleased that they use Zing Zang bloody mary mix. Sadly, that was pretty much the only thing that was good about the drink. It had no garnish. ATALL. Not a lemon or lime, not a green olive, not even a celery stick. We switched to beer after one, and while the beer selection was limited they did have Southern Tier IPA. The menu was the perfect size, with a nice variety of breakfast foods on it. My date had eggs benedict and enjoyed them. I had sausage gravy & biscuits and while the biscuits were fluffy and tasty the sausage gravy had red bell peppers in it which I do not care for personally. The gravy was a nice consistency and had a great flavor — I’m not holding my aversion to bell peppers against them, I’m sure others would love it. It did take quite awhile for the food to be delivered, but given the company I had it was OK, and we weren’t in a rush. I will give the Franklin Inn another try — most likely for an early afternoon happy hour and some appetizers. Hopefully I can revise this review! The biggest disappointment of this visit by far was the naked bloody mary.

We went for brunch a few weeks ago and were not impressed at all. The place is quaint and clean, decorated like pretty much every other fan restaurant. They have a decent beer selection, with a few local beers, but the prices are steep. The service was great, but I think they pulled in someone off the street to prepare the food. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my fiancé got the shrimp eggs benedict. After quite some time, our food arrived unfortunately they made a grilled chicken sandwich instead of buffalo. The server checked and saw that it was rung in correctly so she had the kitchen remake it. My fiancé’s hollandaise was very grainy and had very little taste, most likely from a packet, and a cheap one at that. She informed the waitress and she had the kitchen remake that too. So we wait again… and we watch someone from the kitchen walk across the street to buy more eggs, and lazily stroll back through the front door with the eggs. No sense of urgency whatsoever. My chicken comes to the window, and sits there for about 10 minutes while they remake her eggs bene. The server keeps taking my plate back into the kitchen to keep it warm, but the cook sticks it back in the window after a minute or two. When it finally arrives, both my chicken and my fries were cold, the chicken had little flavor or heat, I ended up using hot sauce that was somewhat sweet and ruined it. I wanted to send it back again but didn’t feel like waiting again. My fiancé’s hollandaise was broken and just looked like grease all over the plate. The server apologized and gave us a few drinks on the house to compensate. Even with that, it ended up being $ 70 with tip. I’m definitely not going back.
