The sign at the entrance says they close at 10:00PM, but they announced closing & locked the doors at 9:30PM.

Dear TJX, I love you, but you know how you can’t count a room in a house as a bedroom if it doesn’t have a closet? Well, I don’t think you can count a room as a fitting room if it doesn’t have AC. #TryingOnClothesSweating P. S. Same goes for Marshall’s. Very truly yours, LG

This TJ Maxx is a huge disappointment! Let me list why. 1. Not much selection in clothes. They only seem to cater to select clientele: older people who prefer the classics and juniors. It is missing the woman who is on to trends and also the designer selection stores have been getting. 2. Not enough inventory. The bags were cute but there were not enough bags in stock. Unless some woman had just came in and binged shopped on tan bags, the bag stock is deplorable. 3. In bad need of updating. TJ Maxx likes to market itself as hip and cool. But all you get here is a sea of florescent lights and 80s flooring. 4. Messy. The store is disorganized and a lot of the beauty products were opened and used. Not very sanitary. TJ Maxx, you know you are my boo but you gotta fix this store for us to maintain our relationship.

This store was a gold mine for me. I found beautiful pieces of All Clad to finish my collection. If I went in for a particular item, I somehow ended up with a bag full of needed home décor, kitchen items, etc.

This TJ Maxx was a big disappointment regarding clothing selection. I have to agree with a previous reviewer, Ginger W. I am so used to finding really nice, attractive clothes with good prices at other locations outside of Richmond. I couldn’t believe that they had practically no skirts at all. Maybe 4 skirts at the most. Bummer! The home goods selection wasn’t that great. Nothing was really that great. For home goods, I’ll stick with Home Goods(the actual store) in Short Pump.

When I lived in Florida, I was always finding great stuff at the T.J. Maxx stores there, but no so much in Richmond. I still do go here for sheets, towels, pillows and assorted home goods, but the clothes and shoes aren’t so great in this location. In general, the merchandise seems to be more low-end than the stores I shopped in Florida, where I could find a $ 500 Italian handbag for $ 99. Here, it’s more like«hello kitty» purses or blinged-out bags that would set off a metal detector. The best part of this location is that you can eat lunch at Dalat after working up an appetite shopping.
