The tapioca pearls are great for the boba tea, but I find that the boba tea is a bit overpriced, but worth the money. However, this being Richmond where there aren’t a lot of Asians, I’m not expecting boba tea to be too cheap. Also, service was average. When my friends and I got there around 1:40pm on Sunday, the lady cleaning said they weren’t opening for another 20 minutes. We came back 15 minutes later and there were already people.

I tried a lot of different flavors but I never really liked any EXCEPT for their honey dew milk tea! I really don’t like boba balls in general, but their boba balls are so chewy and addicting!

None of the flavors are the best I have ever had, but they sure do have a lot of choices. Some of the flavors are very sweet, like the Almond and Thai Iced Tea, while the Jasmine Milk tea, usually a universal go to for me, was very plain. The boba itself is a good to excellent texture, and the people there have been nice and polite across multiple visits. The location itself feels a bit cramped in its layout, and since there is a short wait time on each drink, the crowd can build up. It is an easy place to keep going back to since it is right off campus, easy to park near on the weekends, and their drinks are great treats.

Being from southern california where boba is very popular, I came here expecting overpriced, subpar«bubble tea», as it’s called on the east coast. And I wasn’t far off from my expectations; the drink was overpriced(over 4 dollars for just a normal cup), and definitley does not compare to anything on the west coast. However, if you’re 2500 miles away from home, and just craving something to satisfy that boba craving, this place will suffice.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Overall: –I love the taro bubble tea! The bubbles/boba/tapioca pearls are soft and chewy every time. My first time to tt-lounge was in 2008 and with countless visits since then, I would say the service is hit or miss. I go here all of the time and this bubble tea is awesome! The boba itself is great and flavorful and the Thai slush is amazing.

I haven’t been to T.T. lounge for more than a year now, probably longer. Since the Pit and the Peel was closed we decided to come here to quench our thirst. The décor and the service is the exact same as it was 7 years ago when I first came here; a little bit dingy and not really a bright place and the service is pretty blunt and not very helpful sometimes. I got a Taro slush with Boba. My friend wasn’t sure about the Lychee flavor so she asked the lady(there’s only one other person that works there) about it and she basically said Lychee is lychee, you either like it or you don’t. but my friend never had it before so that’s why she asked. She ended up getting something else. The drinks are made to order but unfortunately they use a powder base here but my drink still tasted pretty good and not artificial and the boba had a perfect consistency on them and wasn’t overly sweet. Overall, a good place to get your bubble tea fix if you’re in the area. SN: there is a $ 5 min for credit transactions

I don’t know why everyone’s review says the woman is not friendly. She is very nice as well as the guy. The boba slushes are so addicting, I crave them at least once a week. Try the taro slush or the royal milk slush and thank me later :) I will continue to support their business

I guess it’s good to have a bubble tea place in the area. TT Lounge is good, but I’ve had better bubble tea elsewhere and places that serve real tea instead of powder. Credit card is accepted for $ 5 and up purchases, but be careful if you pay cash and don’t pay close attention. I got short changed.

The only place you should be buying boba on campus. They have so many flavors. This is a good place to go when the boba cravings kick in. I have tried so much of the menu during my time at VCU. My favorites are the Royal Milk, Thai Iced Tea, and Mango Slush. The only thing is that they all are made from powders. They are pretty quick unless they run out of the bubbles. Then it takes awhile. Other than that it is a good treat to have on warmer days.

Came here everytime whenever in craving for some bubble tea. I’d say the best bubble tea in the richmond area. Their bubble are very sweet and chewy. Their falvors are pretty good too, but what really gets me are the bubbles. The owners are very nice, see them almost every week. Very friendly. Sometime it gets crowded depending on what time

TT Lounge is a must-stop in RVA. The last weekend I was there, I went twice! Their bubble tea is my favorite and they have a great selection of tea flavors. However, they do sometimes run out of «bubbles,» and it takes a while for them to make it. That won’t stop me from coming though; as long as you’re with good company, the wait is not that bad!

This is one of my favorite local spots to visit while I’m on my lunch break, at work or when I’m in the area browsing. The customer service is excellent. I enjoy chit chatting with the owner and his wife all the time. They have a small lounge for the VCU students or anybody who wants to talk and socialize for a bit. The vast selection of flavors for your bubble teas is insane. I think I only tried 10 different flavors out of like 50+. Lol My favorite is the coffee slush with bolba and green Tea slush.

This place uses syrups and powders to make their tea, but its not too bad for being in RVA. Not the best i’ve had(since they don’t use fresh ingredients to make the tea), but it gets the job done. Their boba usually taste pretty good, and the owners are very nice. I usually get the Thai Tea, Taro, or Honeydew Melon.

Best place to get boba in the area! I’ve had better; all the flavors are pretty artificial tasting and it’s a bit pricey. However, I love that this place is so close to VCU campus. Their honeydew flavor is my weakness — something about artificial melon is just so incredibly amazing to me.

Not as great as the hype. Ive had better ones. And the owner’s attitude totally threw me off. He was rude. Overall a quiet café with a few boardgames available and a couch or two. Wouldnt return… but it is right by the vcu campus. I guess it is a local favorite

Hit or miss. It’s so frustrating how they change their hours(open late) and you only find out by going to the store and reading a handwritten sign on the door. This happened several times and it’s such a turn off. Their boba is average. I’ve had better but for Rva, this is the only choice. I recommend the Taro, coconut milk tea, mango slushee, or lychee slushee. Their thai milk tea tasted way too artificial for me to order again. Their slushee also melts really fast by so you have to drink it really quickly and get a brain freeze, or take your time and drink juice.

Worse bubble tea place I’ve been to. An unfriendly lady took our order of three drinks and told us to wait 15 minutes without any explanation until we asked her. She said the bubbles are being cooked. Okay, fine but should have told us before we even placed the order. So I ordered the taro milk tea(my usual at bubble tea joints) which was on the top of their popular drinks list. It did not look right and surely it did not taste right either. It was just unbearable, I’m not sure if it was even taro flavor, just super sweet powdered-water and ice. I also had my friends to try it and they couldn’t drink it either. I ended up throwing it away. One of my friends also threw away his almond milk tea. I certainly won’t be coming back here when I’m in the area. If one of their popular drinks was this bad, I can only imagine how horrible everything else is.

After discovering boba a few years ago, I was eager to try this place out seeing as how they specialize in the drink and have lots of flavors. I was not disappointed. Both times I have gone, the owner has been the one to serve me, and he has been very nice. When I told him it was my first time there, he gave me instructions on how to poke the straw through, gave me a to-go bag filled with ice to keep my drinks cold, and told me to ask for samples next time. Very helpful! I was impressed! As for the flavors, I have tried green apple, mango, honeydew, royal milk and taro. Green apple and mango were way too sugary and artificial tasting for me. Royal milk was ok and I wasn’t a fan of the taro at all. But the honeydew is absolutely perfect! My favorite is the honeydew slush with boba. The flavor is perfect and the ice is blended very well. The boba is the best I have ever had — great flavor and perfect texture. The inside of this place is very cute too, with comfy chairs and couches as well as board games. I’m definitely coming back here again! Only downside — credit card minimum of $ 5 or a 20 cent fee.

Not my favorite bubble tea, but not bad either. My favorites are probably the vanilla bean, taro, and jasmine milk tea! I like how they offer the liquid and smoothie form for most of their flavors. They also offer jellies to be substituted for bubbles. All of their popular flavors(taro, milk tea, thai tea) are all pre-made for the day, so the sweetness can’t really be adjusted. I don’t really like bubble tea that’s too sweet, so that’s definitely a drawback for me. Also, a majority of their flavors use powder which is pretty typical, but just a heads up. If there’s a lot of people in line they are pretty slow, and there’s not really a convenient place to wait so it can get crowded. Their boba is pretty good, but half the times I’ve been they were out of bubbles. The price is a bit expensive, but there’s not a lot of other options for bubble tea in Richmond. Overall, I’d come here if offered but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it even if I was close by.
