This Walmart is convenient for students yes. But with 4 people working and no line, the staff could be a bit more helpful. Especially the manager doesn’t know where the product is or suggest another that is hanging right next to it. I ask three different employees for help and they immediately said that the item was not in stock even though they didn’t know which item I was looking for. Don’t go there unless you have to.

This was a very unfortunate visit. Terrible products and service. Very dirty for a new store. Prices were higher than Kroger which was just down Broad street. Proximity breads slovingness.

Walmart is like every students dream LOL. I was anxiously awaiting for this to open, since I am always on campus and I live pretty close. The place: The walmart is nestled near the Panda express on campus and close to the 7eleven, B&N bookstore etc. When you first walk inside, there are 2 self– check out stations + one actual check out counter to the left. The walmart seemed very cleaned and organized. They have school/office supplies, household items, food/snacks/beverages/electronics/toiletries/makeup etc. This walmart also has a little VCU apparel section towards the front of the store(hats, shirts, keychains, waterbottles). I was very happy when I saw that they had my favorite special K bars etc(because that was on my to-do list for later in the day-but this walmart saved me a trip to the store).Closer to the middle of the store is the pharmacy and they also have a typical medicine aisle where you can find your basic needs for health. The store is NOT big, but that is to be expected since it’s on campus and not a super walmart. They take many forms of payment as well. Also, they have site-store shipping available at this location-which is another plus! Overall: I think this is absolutely awesome to have a walmart on campus. It benefits students and those living in the surrounding area because of the proximity. My only concern will be if they will be able to keep things organized and clean with the amount of traffic that will ensue on this place next semester. I also think it will be hard to shop inside during peak hours, given how tight the space is and the lines could potentially get very long. I will definitely be using this location during the summer(while the foot traffic is minimal) to grab odds and ends. I wouldn’t come here to do major shopping-they have a good amount of items-but its limited as you would expect for a smaller campus store. Make sure you stop inside and give it a try before it gets super crazy!

A Walmart on VCU campus? Yes!!!This Walmart is located directly on VCU campus. Its smaller than most Walmart’s but expected since its geared toward college students. A pharmacy is located inside of the store. The lines are long for check out since its just opening up. Parking is hit or miss depending on the time and day. This Walmart will be very convenient for VCU students and people living in the area. They sell a lot of VCU merchandise at a reasonable price.
