Let me start by saying I’ve tried to go to this place three times and they were closed all three times, they are apparently only open until 2pm but they have a «lunch and dinner» menu… Their hours are ridiculous. Now that I FINALLY make it here when they are open, I am told they do not serve any food until 10:30 other than their donuts(which look great and amazing but). Then, the sole reason I came to this place, for a matcha milk smoothie with boba, isn’t available until 10:30. So I have 3.5 hour window to come into the store to get boba in a drink??? I was offered no apology for my obvious anger at these surprises and will never return because I would rather save my money and energy for a place that gives a damn. No idea how it will stay in business.

I love the milk tea with boba and half sugar– glad we can get this in town now. Tried the chicken teriyaki which was really good for $ 4.99. It was served with rice and vegetables and was a large portion size. They gave me a couple donuts to try right before closing and they were really good! I do wish they would expand their sandwiches to do some hot sandwiches like grilled cheese or tomato mozzarella but that’s just me– not many of the sandwiches they have really interest me. I always think of going on Sunday but they are closed– maybe consider lunch hours on Sunday? It’s a really nice place to hang out and read the paper with natural light and windows– unique in Ridgecrest!

Donuts are free with the purchase of a coffee! Delicious. They make their own donuts, which they have a great selection to choose from. I was a skeptical about the coffee, but my cappuccino was delicious! Next time I’ll have to try a milk tea. The lounge area is adorable and I can totally see myself going back to catch up with friends over coffee there. Their BLT was good(simple), but I wasn’t crazy over the fries. The mainstream menu items aren’t anything special and seem more to just appeal to the general public, but overall as a coffee house this place is great!

So far so good! I had milk tea with boba and my husband had almond milk tea. Both were spot on, and we can’t wait to come back when the weather cools to have hot almond milk tea. We shared a chocolate brick toast, also really tasty, made with real chocolate and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. I’m really looking forward to trying more of their food, drinks, and treats, and will update when I do. I just hope it’s not too far outside Ridgecrest’s comfort zone to survive. 9÷21÷15 Update: I ate there for lunch today, and it’s still a solid 4 stars. We had a tropical mango smoothie, a pork sandwich with salad, a turkey pesto sandwich with salad, and a broccoli cheddar cream soup. The smoothie was a little pricey, but huge and really tasty. The pork sandwich was good, but they really shouldn’t call it a Cuban. It has nothing to do with a Cuban sandwich, but it is good. Flavorful chopped/pulled pork shoulder with ginger dressing(they said) and a slice of American cheese on a hamburger bun. Simple but good. The turkey pesto sandwich had a nice thick layer of turkey, slice of American cheese, fresh sliced tomato and lettuce, and dill pickle chip on good chewy french bread. The only problem is that they forgot the homemade pesto, so unfortunately, I didn’t get to try that. I’m sure they would have fixed it if I’d been able to go back. Still a good sandwich. The broccoli cheddar cream soup was good, and I liked that the broccoli in it wasn’t cooked to mush. It was a little on the salty side, but I’d definitely eat it again.

New business that opened last Sunday, so far it’s actually pretty good. I’ve been dying to have an actual boba/brick toast/and those awesome fruit shaved ice here in town. Friendly staff, very spacious, and their food options look good. I had the Thai ice tea boba and popcorn chicken and loved it. Boba actually done right instead of places that mess up cooking their boba/use stale boba. Popcorn chicken very very tasty. Their wifi is surprisingly good. I’ll give it a 4 on my first impression but will be coming back a lot more to try out their other stuff on the menu. I suggest if you are bored, tired of the heat, or just wanna hang out then this is the spot for you! Reminds me of other boba shops around LA so I hope it stays open for a while!

They are still refining the process. The bacon Char-burger was perfect! The bbq chicken sandwich was very tasty. Try the almond milk tea, it’s AMAZING!

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my four star rating to a three. There are certain culinary sins that can be forgiven, but serving a Cuban sandwich on hamburger buns is not one of them. SHAME! There is no way a Cuban sandwich can be called a Cuban sandwich without Cuban bread! SHAME!

FOOD-SANDWICHES: Sandwiches all cost $ 7 each. I ran into an out of town visitor who just wanted a ham and cheese sandwich. As you can see from the menu somebody posted a picture of, they got more«non-standard» stuff like salmon, turkey pesto, etc. I don’t know why this isn’t on their menus, but all of the sandwiches come with a small, side salad(mixed greens, just greens, and no tomatoes) or fries(one time, it was crinkle cut, but the next few times, it was all seasoned fries). To me, paying this much for a fresher, better tasting sandwich is already a better value than something at Subway(and yeah, Ridgecrest still has 3 of these if you count the one on base), while the fries can especially fill you up. I don’t really have such a sophisticated palette nor high standards for sandwiches, but I’ve become disillusioned with Subway in years past. I’ve had the BBQ chicken, Salmon on croissant, Turkey Pesto, and Cuban sandwiches. BBQ chicken was just that, with some mixed greens in it. I was told a bit after ordering the Salmon that they were out of croissants for salmon(which was one of the reasons I wanted to get it). I told them I’ll get some other sandwich instead then. Shortly, they told me that they do have croissants after all.(Were they trying to save a croissant or something?). That also had capers. Turkey Pesto came on some long, French bread, while the Cuban was just a delicious pile of pork, lettuce, and tomato. I don’t remember if there was any ham now that I think of it. FOOD-OTHER: Bubble tea was good. I got it with Rose flavoring(all flavorings cost +50c). Still don’t know just what the heck that is, but it was flavorful. Bobba costs an extra 50c. As I don’t eat the stuff anyways, I relish saving $$ by opting out on that. I’ve had all of their soups! All 2 of them. Not bad. They certainly taste fresher than canned soup, so hopefully, this stuff is freshly made, or much more of it anyways(especially since they run $ 4.25 and $ 4.75 respectively…). The Spinach Egg Cream reminded me of egg drop soup in Chinese cuisine, but with spinach in it, and Italian seasonings and flavor. The French Onion also had a slice of bread and layer of cheese on top like the more«deluxe» versions of that soup. Haven’t had their breakfast, snacks, nor bakery items yet. ATMOSPHERE Nicest feature was complimentary wifi. It seemed to be able to process basic stuff(e.g. surfing, emails, mobile game internet features) at good speeds. Parking was free and ample(given in Ridgecrest, this is expected). Dining area was spacious and clean. They also had couches, and reading material like magazines and newspapers. SERVICE Good service. They’re courteous and answer questions, tend to folks’ needs like when the napkin dispenser’s empty, and putting out closed, cups of ice waters for self service. Also fast enough on orders. My food was late one time, but that was during the lunch rush. While they claimed they called my number, I’ll admit I wasn’t paying attention then, and perhaps another lady who I overheard ordering the same thing took it for herself. They have a decent sized crew, but hopefully they can keep up with those rushes.

Just opened last week so probably still finessing things. It’s an Asian snack shop/Boba tea place but they added some sandwiches and mainstream items to appeal to the Ridgecrest market. It is what it is so don’t expect food like Nicoletti’s Café… The popcorn chicken is a good example. Thin breading with five spice and probably some MSG for flavor. They need a spicy sweet and sour sauce but give you thousand island. Five spice and thousand is not a good combo. The Cuban was not good, not the right bread, not much flavor and American cheese??? Ordered coffee tea boba but it’s a weird combo. Coffee boba and tea boba yes but coffee tea boba, not so good. Still has potential. The popcorn chicken is pretty good compared to other Asian snack shops I’ve tried in Orange County, Alhambra, Los Angeles just wish they would offer a great sauce. The Cuban and coffee tea… Never again. Will update next time I come here
