Took Big Cedar Lodge shuttle from Wilderness Cabins to the restaurant on this icy night. No wait. Very courteous waiter staff. Food was excellent. The ambiance was fabulous. Will be returning tonight for dinner and the entertainment.

Really enjoyed it here. The entertainment was superb. Of course, I like country western. Great Gunslinger Double IPA from Crown Winery. Atmosphere is rustic and comfortable. Dress is casual. I believe the menu is about the same as the restaurant above.

We went to the buzzard bar for dinner the draw for us wasn’t so much the dinner as the entertainment that followed our dinner. Our service was mediocre a little disappointing we had to ask for refills and for the dessert menu. The good thing about the restaurant is that they have a wide variety of offerings everything from pizzas to hamburgers to gumbo a wide mix. I got the seafood gumbo, it was really good, it was fresh the dish came with rice and beans and some spinach on the side that was great. Overall would highly recommend it. My husband and I split the Sunday which was pretty good as well. The best part of the buzzard bar is the singing cowboy, Clay, does almost nightly performances there and they are hilarious. Though judging from this last show Clay’s son may soon be giving him a run for his money ha ha! Seriously if you are ever in the Ridgedale area stop by and check it out, it’s completely worth it you will leave with a smile on your face and your stomach full.

Looking for a casual late lunch at Big Cedar, we went to the Buzzard Bar and it was the perfect choice. Interior has the«fancy but rustic» cabin look that is popular all over Big Cedar. One end is almost cave-like and the other end overlooks the pool and the hills and lake beyond. We picked a table by the windows to enjoy the view and split a pizza. Service was friendly and prompt. Can’t really say much more about it except that it was exactly what I’ve come to expect from Big Cedar — pretty darn near perfect.

A great casual bar for a quick bite to eat. We had the BBQ chicken sandwich and the BBQ brisket sandwich. Both better than I expected. Our waitress was really polite and helpful when I asked her questions about resort activities. I wish we could have stayed long enough to enjoy some of the live music. We also enjoyed the beautiful view.

3 and ½ stars. Very cool atmosphere. Service was not as great as I would have wanted — but the food pretty good. Get the pulled pork nachos for an app. SO good. Make sure to get that. My dad and I got the bison burger, which was pretty good. My husband ordered the bison meatloaf sandwich but ended up getting the burger. He was in between those choices anyway so it was fine. Don’t get the Cole slaw. Very bitter. My mom got soup and the cobb salad. She loved the salad but said the flavor of the soup was less than par. I wanted to give the place a solid 4 stars but because of the service I will do a 3.5.

Just had a very bland and overpriced turkey wrap for lunch. Slow service and the waitress did not offer to make things right even though I told her twice I was unhappy with my meal.

The food is good but a little overpriced but that’s to be expected on a resort. The place can get loud on the weekends especially when someone is performing but it makes for a fun environment. It’s a good time if you’re looking for a couple of drinks after a day of activities.

Mighty good food Nice service Beautiful lodge grounds… The drive here was like a paid attraction… 1 of a kind Decent prices… Normal prices… But also only place for miles serving truly fresh food(by food I mean beyond fresh beef and catfish) 1 point… We did feel like we were the only non-white people for miles… Not because everyone was white, but because the clientele all looked truly surprised(not angry mob-ish or startled, seriously surprised like«I didn’t leave this $ 100 bill in these pants»)… So be prepared to feel like a Zebra at the vet if you’re not Caucasian and want some delicious fresh food in Branson in a beautiful country environment. I got bison meatballs here, so good. Check the pics. Best vet in town y’all.

Very nice resort. Good quality food. Clay the house band is part country singer and part comedian. He plays guitar and sings. His kids play the banjo and the fiddle. The food and drinks are great and the entertainment is above average. We will definitely come again.

Ate at the bar and the bartender was from Ventura, whoda thunk it? Tim was fun and friendly. Justin was the entertainment adnd really went our of his way to make sure everyone had a good time, a great entertainer and musician. I recommend staying at Big Cedar and spending your evening here. Southern Missouri is a friendly neighborhood and though everyone at this bar is from out of town(its at a resort) the mood is contagious. I had the chili and the Buzzard Pool House Salad that I loved so much i bought the salad dressing from the gift shop the next day. BJ had the trout and loved it.

Showed up on a Friday night about 7:45pm and found out that you just stand around and watch for a table to open up. We joined a family at their table and everything was just fine — friendly people who didn’t mind sharing their space with us. We ordered drinks and our meals and spent about $ 50, so we felt that the price was fair. My husband had the country fried ribeye and I had the smokehouse burger. They were excellent choices! We also had a side of fruit, which was the best fruit I’ve ever had as a side order. It was all fresh and very crisp. I felt like they kept it all separate until they brought it to the table — which is the way every good restaurant should do it. We also tried their fried chips, which were were sweet potatoes and were nice and crispy — definitely worth ordering. The entertainment started at 8:45 and actually proved to be enjoyable. We were very glad that we took the time to drive there and would certainly return!

Good bar at a great resort. Clay the cowboy is the house band, and does a lot of cover song favorites They have added a new act, a lounge singer during happy hour that is pretty comical, he looks like rod stewart. I guess I just think lounge singers are comical, he actually does a fine job. This place is a welcomed oasis from the family or with the family for food and drinks at big cedar. The breakdown. 1 – 10 Atmosphere — 9 Music/Entertainment — 8 Service — 5 Food — 5 Specialty Drinks — 8 Beer Selection — 3

The food is ok and fine for a poolside meal. But the indoor Buzzard Bar needs some fly control and a deep cleaning. I usually can easily overlook the interior of a restaurant or bar if the food is great, but the food and service were just ok, so how can you not overlook the rest. I would certainly eat outdoors by the pool, but if I were to eat indoors, I would go upstairs the the Devils Pool Restaurant before indoors at the Buzzard Bar.

The open late night and all day bar and grill establishment of Big Cedar serving a full restaurant menu, shared with Devil’s Pool and room service(STEAKS), till 11:30! I am not sure which is better to be inside w/singing cowboy and charisma or outside on the excellent open air & stone patio with a view, but that is a good debate over drinks. In the basement of a restaurant is a log and taxidermy friendly(BUTNOSMOKING!) «Buzzard Bar». Yeah, there is a hunting & fishing theme to Big Cedar, but I am enjoying the theme. The solo artist played guitar while singing old country songs on this late Sunday night visit. I knew this place was good old country boy from how he made fun of the newer pop country singers during a laid back comedy routine between and during songs. Overall the place is friendly and vacation upscale, but in that wink(or complete bow) to Ozark country good old boy. The place was packed with the outdoor type vacationers looking to have a good time. They and I did. I liked this place so much I bought a hat– I do NOT do that. For the food review check Devil’s Pool– this is about the bar. What is weird is the only menu they show is the Devil’s Pool menu, but are willing to cook off the room service menu. Maybe the could print a few«Open Late for the Night Owls» menu that is more informative.
