Bland food, lackluster service and over an hour wait for two burgers. Not worth your time. The two burgers we ordered were a perfect size(despite what others have written) not well seasoned and a bit dry but drowned in cheese to cover the over cooked taste. The service was inconsistent at best. Wait staff would«check on» on you very few minutes and then completely ignore you. When trying to grab their attention to see when food might be ready, they would literally avoid our table like fourth grade game dodge ball. Once food was served they would barely allow you to get a bite in before asking if you enjoyed it. It was intrusive and made for an uncomfortable experience. Conversations between diners were constantly being interrupted to ask if the dry, not well seasoned, burgers drowned in insane amounts of cheese, were enjoyable. The wait time was totally unacceptable, more than an hour for two burgers. Never found a pseudo fast food establishment expect diner to wait more than an hour. This was clearly an ongoing issue as they were experimenting with a new approach of brining out side(fries) before the burgers. While some my like this approach, burgers and fries is a think for a reason. No one goes to a burger joint and expects the burger to be coursed. The excuse was they had a large take away order. Unlikely but even if it was true, there needs to consistency and expectation from the kitchen staff to the front of the house. This was not a first visit and on other occasions there was a ridiculously long wait but nothing of this magnitude. While I appreciate their use of quality, «natural» and organic ingredients there formula for service is all wrong and makes for almost forgettable experience. Not so forgettable that we would ever be back.

The food tasted great. But that was about the only positive worth writing about. 1. Expensive burgers, that are super small, felt like I was eating a slider. The meat is on, y about half the size of a small bun. Oh, and no sides with your $ 13 burger, but you can buy $ 5 fries 2. We sat down, and it took almost 20 minutes before our waitress took our food order. 3. Once we ordered, it took over 40 minutes for us to be served our food. We sat down at 7:10pm and had our food around 8:20pm. 3 bites later our burgers were gone. Don’t think we will be back. Way too expensive, servings are bite sized and I don’t have an extra hour to sit around hoping my food may finally arrive.

Visited with my family on 4÷30÷16. Since we were there last, 2 weeks or so, there were changes made. They changed the Ketchup, program the servers use and the menu. Both we could get used to. However, the service was not good and the food left us all feeling not well. They also placed us out side in the patio area and refused to close the plastic enclosure! I asked several time. This was our family go to place, now we may not be back for a while.

Just a plain O burger; nothing to go nuts over. The wait staff acts like they’re doing you a favor when taking your order. I’d rather have a diner burger instead. Totally over priced. Don’t waste your hard earned money.

Tried this place before concert at the Playhouse and came away very disappointed. Stayed away from the exotic me because they say everything is locally source but I don’t know where you get local boar or ostrich. And any case ordered a burger put three toppings on it didn’t come with anything so I had to order a side of fries which was huge, and upon finishing this puny tasteless burger was still hungry but didn’t have time to order more since I had to go to the show Adding insult to injury the prices were sky high

I really like everything about Bareburger in theory. The burger patties… way small. especially for the price. Now I get it, grass-fed organic etc is more expensive but its just not fair(for lack of a better word to describe it.) The fries are yummy they have a nice variety of toppings, but everything about it is pricy. I don’t mind spending money on food, I have been to some crazy places with insane prices and have been happy to pay because the food was out of this world. To charge what they do for what you get is again not fair. It is NOT the most amazing burger you will ever eat. also I would suggest Iceberg lettuce wraps even steamed the collard greens is like impossible to bite into.

Best burger I have ever had!!! The burger alone is phenomenal and then add toppings from the huge list. YUM! I brought my little girls with me and they agreed it was the best burger ever! They talked about how good their burgers for days after. One even wrote about it in school. They are begging to go back. Can’t wait to eat here again!

We had a good meal. The root bear float was soooo good! The buffalo chicken sandwich was good, a little too spicy/saucy for me but good! My daughter both had a burgers and they rate them a 4. The onion rings and sweet potato fries were yummy. The service was good and the ambience cool!

The last time we went to Bareburger, it wasn’t the best experience. Went we sat at our table. It was at least clean. My son ordered the chicken nuggets with ketchup & fries. I ordered a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was okay but a little over cooked and my sons chicken nuggets were rubbery and tasted funny. The main problem I had with Bareburger is the food is way to organic.

Hopping busy on a Saturday night. We arrived, family of 4, around 6:30pm. No reservations, it’s first come first serve. We were seated in 15 minutes. Staff was under control, enthusiastic and smiling. Our waiter was top notch. This place was packed with 10 – 15 deep waiting! Still, the vibe was positive. Portion sizes were perfect, not too much, not too little and the quality was top notch. We’re all vegetarians and had 2 bean burgers and 2 sweet potato and wild rice burger. Both were outstanding with custom fixings! Equally impressive was that our orders were all accurate. There are as many as 5 – 20 different options per burger. All came out as ordered. Though both burgers were outstanding you have to try the sweet potato and wild rice… regardless if you eat/don’t eat meat. It’s out of this world. Our bill came to $ 63 with tip. No alcohol. No dessert. Honestly, I thought it was worth every penny and more. Kudos. Well done. We’ll be back!

Holy $@/& the burger I got from here… unrealllll. So freakin good. Added a couple things to the burger from the unique and good-sized menu. Duck bacon? Duck pastrami? mmmmmm. Got a drink. with bacon in it! Not the greatestttt but had to try it and love trying different things so happy it was on the menu and still happy I ordered it. Only problem… the cost. My burger came to $ 29 dollars. That didn’t even include fries. The quality of the food and the taste were top notch, but I feel it makes it a place you can only visit once in a blue moon. I do still recommend it but maybe just for a once in a long while place to grab some good food, unless you’re rich then go at it and enjoy the great food as much as you can!

We were doing a blood drive in the rec center down the road and I was In the mood for a burger. They told me about bare burger so I took a drive. I was greeted by this nice older lady and told her I wasn’t from the area and she briefly gave me a break down on the menu and what she recommend. They’re a bit more pricey but it’s sooooo worth it. I ordered a bison burger with fries and it was probably the best burger I’ve EVER eaten! Wish they were closer to me. When I’m in the area I’m gonna make sure to deff stop by.

My family and I have eaten here 3 times now. 1 in the restaurant and 2 times we’ve done pickup. On all 3 occasions they have failed to cook meat to specified temp. The only saving grace is the onion rings and phenomenal mustard. And enormous beers! Kinda shocking(and very disappointing) that a place with so many interesting and«exotic» choices of meat can’t cook beef to order. Probably won’t be coming back since I am the only nearly-raw meat eater in my family.

The service is always over-the-top *wonderful* and knowledgeable, and the ambiance is still fantastic. A while back, they changed their menu to be less intimidating(instead of everything being an add-on, though this is still an option available, and also removed some items), which is understandable. But, now when you order anything to-go, they are very stingy on dips and such, and, more than that, the quality of their actual burgers has gone downhill significantly. I keep wanting it to be amazing again, so I keep going and going and going, but I can’t justify the hope anymore. They’re just okay now. And«just okay» is not worth $ 10-$ 13 to me.

I love a good burger, and finding a decent place that can do that is few and far between in the Danbury area. Five Guys in Brookfield is probably the best competition, but when I heard about Bareburger from a friend and them having a plethora of burger meats to choose from, I was sold. This was actually my second time coming here, but the first time dining in. A few weeks ago, four of us stopped by on a Saturday night to grub, but the 45 minute wait halted us otherwise. Depressed that we wouldn’t be able to have a legitimate burger, we left crying as loud as possible. It was our fault however, we should’ve assumed any great restaurant(with a bar nonetheless) would be packed on the weekend. I did return for my annual review a few weeks later to finally sit down and eat a seriously good meal. I loved the interior. It’s bar-like, but also very old fashioned/welcoming with the use of wood. It bode well with the idea of «You’re going to eat a burger here? Well you’re going to have the experience any farm animal may have, minus the hay.» We were seated for lunch promptly and given menus to look over. Everything here is farm fresh, organic, and GMO free(which you can also read about on their website). I’m a fan of that because generally the food tastes significantly better, for a price, which even here wasn’t that bad. Your burger choices by the way, range from a normal beef burger all the way to a wild boar burger. So yeah, they have quite the variety if you’re interested. I opted with the Grindhouse Burger, which was essentially an elk burger with manchego, bacon, piquante relish, lettuce, paprika mayo, all on a brioche bun. The paprika mayo mixed with the burger was phenomenal and eliminated a lot of the gamey taste one might expect from elk meat. But in all honesty, even without the paprika mayo, the gamey taste wasn’t totally overkill and I actually enjoyed it since it’s a flavor I don’t get to ingest that often. The bun was also fantastic, because we all know a bad burger bun is a no no. I didn’t get a chance to try any of their beers or cocktails since I was still technically at work, but the list seemed pretty solid for the restaurant, meaning I’d come back for a drink if I was in the area. Bareburger is great and the staff was super friendly. In the mood for a burger? Look no more.

Very good burger. Decided to go classic and judge their traditional beef burger before experimenting. The burger is on the smaller side, but the side of fries was quite large. Good to share between two people Wife got the small cali fresh salad(which was actually pretty big) and it was good(if you enjoy healthy food). Also added the panko chicken with the salad. It was pretty good, I’d probably try a different protein next time. Overall, very good food, cool modern place

The food was very delicious and the Buffalo Chicken Burger was just right, enough buffalo sauce coated the chicken. The Fries and Onion rings were crispy and seasoned. Guapo Bowl was good and the service was great. RDG

This has become my go-to spot for business lunches when I’m in Ridgefield with a colleague, portfolio manager, winemaker, etc. and need a good spot for midday grub. All of the food is fresh, organic and relatively healthy. I love that they offer rarely found types of meat like elk, bison, wild boar — all delicious. Even their vegetarian options are great — I’ve had both their black bean burger and quinoa burger and they’re both satisfying and incredibly tasty! I need to rave for a second about the onion rings. I think they use cornmeal because they taste… REAL… and not covered in fluffy breadcrumbs. Whatever seasoning they use is on point, legit top 5 best onion rings I’ve ever had. The sweet potato fries are solid as well. And lots of weird little delicious morsels that I always order — curry ketchup for dipping, sounds gross but holy hell its so tasty. The wasabi carrot slaw is refreshing and pleasantly spicy. Even their salads are yummy. The service has always been friendly, attentive and speedy to top it all off. And the new cocktail menu is fabulous, though I think they need better cocktail glassware. I will no doubt be back soon for another work lunch or dinner date!
