The Story: Favorite spot to get KBBQ. Came here with my cousin when she was in town! Food: I love the banchan here — there are so many different types. Endless supply too! My favorite BBQ item here is the pork belly. Meat is higher quality than any other KBBQ place I’ve been to(which sadly isn’t a lot lol). Décor: Not much in terms of décor. But we’re here to eat! Price: We had a party of 7 and my share for 2 people was $ 70 with tip. We ordered 3BBQ items and seafood pancake. Service: Service is good. Our meats were cooked for us and cut up as well. They also save the best cut for last. Parking & Finding the Place: Located behind the Super H mart. Lots of parking. Additional Thoughts/Tips: Their lunch specials looked interesting. I’ll probably come back for that.

No joke good. The place is legit. Must come eat! You’re definitely going to walk out smelling but totally worth it. The pork marinade is awesome as are the veggies. Service is typical of any korean restaurant and it’s byob.

This place is shaping up to be my favorite korean bbq around here. They specialize in pork but also have other meats. Their pork ribs are amazing and probably the only thing you need to order. Maybe some pork belly and beef ribs too. The meat is excellent and the service is just as good. They give you lots of banchan to start with to minimize the need for asking for more. It’s BYOB so it cuts down on cost by A LOT in comparison to other korean bbq places that serve alcohol. 20 – 25 dollars for a serving of pork, which is considered cheap now(used to be the norm.) and 38 for beef(kinda pricey, but the pork makes up for it). Got 2 servings of pork belly, pork ribs, and beef ribs, 6 servings total and it came out to $ 185, without tip. I was surprised we didnt hit the 200 mark, which was nice. Can’t get this value anywhere else anymore, especially when this place tastes just as good, if not better than other places. Also got 3 servings of fluffy steamed egg and doenjang jjigae without having to ask! This place is starting to get more crowded than before and I can see why. Great prices, BYOB, pleasant service. why go anywhere else?

Korean BarBQ we got the dinner set for two. Beef, cold noodles, radishes, kimchi, so much food. We had never been so they ordered for us and taught us different ways to combine the many many foods together. I recommend this place because they spoke English well enough to teach us.

First of all, the floor is disgusting. Almost slipped on the way in because it’s so slippery and nasty crap everywhere. Secondly, the food is just mediocre where as the price is just up the butt. You get about 2 pieces of kalbi for 24 dollars which is just a theft at this point. Lastly, the service is just horrendous. The waitresses kept yelling at each other and when you ask for something(like banchan), takes them about 5 minutes when there is no one here. And they also got my order wrong and I didn’t hear a single«sorry» coming out of their mouths. Tl;dr save your money and go somewhere else. Hmart food court probably has better food. Edit: the lady came out after I gave her a tip, telling me how small it is and how it is legally required for me to give her some money. Just trust me and don’t come here

I had my rehearsal dinner here. We picked this place because they could accommodate a large party and its BYOB. The service was great as the waitresses grilled our meat very well and provided us lots of side dishes and rice. I would come here more often if I lived closer or if I ever remember how to pronounce the name.

Dang, everything here is freaking solid. No misses. My favorite dish here is the YukGaeJang. It’s spicy, hearty, plenty of meat and the broth is to die for. My wife is a big fan of the Kimchijigae. There are also many rice dishes you can grill at your table as well outside of the BBQ options(Which are as I already said, SOLID). Probably the best Korean joint on the Jersey side. The fact you can go next door to Paris Baguette for dessert or coffee is also pretty nice.

Im on 3 month binge of korean food and this place might be the reason why. My group got the pork belly and the kalbi and the pancakes as an appetizer. The pork belly and kalbi were both spot on. The banchan were plenty and flavorful. The staff was very attentive. The only con is that you will need to submerge urself in the shower after you hetr as the smell will cling on your clothes, hair… Byob! So do yourself a favor, and go next door and grab yourself a nice bottle of soju.

Korean food in general has always been hit and miss with me and never consistent. I’m an adopted Korean and didn’t grow up with the taste so it’s been kind of a jarring experience. My friend asked about the lunch special since we arrived ten minutes before it officially ended and the server said we would be able to make it. Halfway through ordering, the server suddenly canceled that and said we were no longer able to get the lunch specials. Okay, we were taking a while and the server was probably irritated with us for that… or more so me. I started off being the ugly American in my group of three asking the server what some of the dishes were much to her annoyance. While my white friends nodded politely and said yes to and pretended to understand whatever broken english the server was speaking as she picked out their dishes, I had the audacity to ask, «I’m sorry, what?» to her a few times and«I’m confused» before throwing in the towel and picking something that looked enjoyable. The banchan was okay but is much better at Chung Sol Bat in Edison. I thought I was getting the Korean barbecue since I ordered something under that label on the menu. Wasn’t the case even though it was $ 25. My bad. My heart sunk after realizing the barbecue on our table wasn’t being prepped any time soon. My friend who didn’t speak up or ask questions got a stone rice pot with beef and what looked like earth worms. I’m sure this food would have been great if I grew up with Korean cooking or knew what to expect from it. As for me, I wasted $ 25 and gave all my expensive leftovers to my friends and hopped in the car and went to a pizza place afterward.

If you’re in the mood for BBQ(particularly pork BBQ) this is the place to go. If you don’t know much about Korean food, just order the daeji galbi and you’ll be all set. Couple pointers: (1) Lunch special is 7 days a week and a great bargain. While it doesn’t include the«at table BBQ» you’ll get a huge portion of great food.(Again, the daeji galbi on the lunch special is outstanding) (2) BBQ is done with lump charcoal, which really ups the flavor factor (3) Banchan is good, but nothing special. You’ll usually get doenjang jjigae with your order. I love their doenjang jjigae — they do it really well (4) Service is great — if you don’t know what you’re doing with the BBQ grill, they will basically grill it for you at your table (5) Atmosphere is average — it’s a BBQ joint, so wouldn’t expect(and it doesn’t offer) high-end finishing, etc. Overall, it specializes in Korean BBQ pork and delivers exceptionally.

I’ve been here twice now, and it’s awesome. Definitely come for either the naengmyun(cold buckwheat noodles), if you aren’t headed there for the Korean BBQ. I recommend the marinated pork ribs. The ladies there are very attentive, the marinade is delicious and they have amazing side dishes, so that everyone(even picky eaters) can enjoy their meals! It’s also a quick turnaround, so if you want the quick service and still want to enjoy the grilled meat, this is your place. It’s also not that expensive, compared to the places that I go to in NYC. WARNING: Your clothes, hair and entire being will smell like BBQ after you finish your meal, whether you choose to grill or not.

I always passed by this place but didn’t feel like trying because it seems like there was nobody all the time. Then a friend of mine introduced me to this this place, and was i indeed impressed. As the name indicates(well it may not be obvious, but DAEJI means pork in Korean), they specialize on pork. I have been here 3 times since getting to know about this place about 3 months ago, and everytime it was packed and every time I was satisfied. I got pork belly all three time. They serve steamed egg and bean soup as part of the meat entrée, which are both good. They also have mini portion cold noodle(naeng myun) so you can try them without paying a lot and getting too full.

This place has become my go-to for Korean BBQ. Can’t get anything like this in MA so anytime I’m down in NJ and craving Korean this is where I drag everyone that I’m with. Have always gotten the galbi and samgyupsal and they haven’t disappointed. There’s a huge variety to the banchan spread and they even include steamed egg and a spicy soup. 2 orders to use the grill and that is about enough food for 3 people if you get an appetizer too. I’ve had the pajeon a couple times and it’s tasty. The nice Korean ajumma will help you with the grill if you look like you don’t know what you’re doing. This place is a little pricey but worth it for the food. Don’t take it for granted cause up north it’ll cost more and be of worse quality. BYOB which is a huge plus so grab some Sapporo from the liquor store in the Hmart and you’re all set for a great dinner.

So I was recommended this place by my friend and I have to say, it is very good. I came here on New Years day in the evening, along with 11 family members. This place is fairly small but they were extremely accommodating. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated which was understandable since it was busy and the restaurant itself was not made for a big groups. We had a vague idea of what to order so the manager was happy to help us. He was extremely nice. The bbq portion tasted amazing. The beef and pork meat was marinated perfectly and it was so tender! I also recommend the hot tofu soup. I would come here again. The only flaw is the poor ventilation in this place, I came out smelling like the food I ate.

This place is kind of unclean and dirty, even for a BBQ place. The clean utensils were greasy, the plates and dishes appeared grungy, and the whole atmosphere was just very unclean and depressing. The food was very mediocre. My wife thought it was terrible and stopped eating after a few bites. We won’t be going back — the waitresses were nice, but I’m not trading food for service.

We order lunch from here often, and the food never disappoints. They offer a great lunch special deal. The bbq is amazing; on the pricier side, but worth it. The pork belly and marinated beef here is the best. The location is convenient and three is ample parking in the lot. There’s a bus stop right out front. It’s also right next to the Hmart and a Paris Baguette. My only grow here is the ventilation, they could improve that a bit. During dinner, it gets to the point where the entire restaurant is filled with smoke(more so, I think, than any other bbq restaurant). And yet the bathrooms are freezing(during the winter/colder months). I have started putting all my outerwear and layers into a plastic bag to avoid the smell from seeping in. But then, the food is worth it… My poor new jacket :(

Located right next to H Mart, we came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3 and place was really empty. What I found really appealing was that they have lunch special prices even on weekends making our meals really affordable. I really enjoyed the appetizers plenty that I didn’t see before in other Korean Restaurants. The tofu in hot spicy sauce was one of the really good dishes I’ve had. For entrée we had the bimbibop and Tofu soup which are pretty standard Korean menu. For the price we paid it was really good definitely on par with the ones I’ve had in Manhattan and Fort Lee. It sounds like people recommends BBQ here, I’ll definitely have to try it when I’m here again next time. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place. I was surprised to see this place hasn’t have more reviews and more exposure :-) All in all, an unexpected great meal in our grocery shopping stop at H Mart
