I enjoyed eating breakfast here. The staff and service was on point. The table and seating was clean and comfortable. The inside of the restaurant was cold though. We asked to be seated in a warmer spot and the waiter couldn’t help us with that. The food came out relatively quickly and it tasted good.

To simply put it… this is a very average diner. I have been here a few times over the years. Large menu with tons of choices. Plenty of places to sit. Large parking lot, clean bathrooms. Service is decent in the establishment. The apps are pretty good. Recently I have used their delivery service which is very quick! No delivery fee. I will also give my comment on the three food items I have tried in the past few weeks. French onion soup that was delivered– a little cold and not really flavorful. They also stuff a large piece of bread in there which you need a knife to break it apart inside the soup. I just find it weird. Overall, very sloppy. The red hook burger– asked for medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Very weak with the chipotle mayo sauce though and they tend to overload on the onions. Take a few of those out and it’s a decent burger. Also comes with French fries which I’m not too crazy about either. Not crispy and a little undercooked. The turkey club-pretty good. Nice crispy bacon. The turkey is not overly dry and the portion is pretty big. Food is a solid 2 ½ stars depending on what you get but I opted for the three because of their easy delivery service and is a reliable spot to go when you need to grab a spot to eat late night.

Not the best place to go but if you want to stop by for a quick lunch date with a friend or with family, it’s decent! I’ve only been here one or two times. I’ve tried their french toast with a crunchy topping, whipped cream, and strawberries but the last time i went, they didn’t have it on the menu anymore! My younger brother ordered the plain mini breakfast pancakes and they were not good at all. He seemed to enjoy it but I am not a fan of flimsy pancakes that taste and look frozen. I’ve heard many great things about their omelets and their eggs benedict however! The next time I go, I will definitely be ordering that. Overall, not the best place to go but it’s a decent place if you have no where else to go and you’re up to try good french toast and eggs benedict.

My boyfriend introduced me to this place over a year ago and we both enjoy coming here. It’s very close to home, so to us that’s a bonus. Decent typical diner fare with the exception that it’s MUCH cleaner/updated than most diners I’ve visited. The plus side is that they have a fairly extensive menu with a VERYNICE eggs benedict variety. 2 thumbs up goes to the avocado benny which is the only benedict I order should I decide to go that route. Service is mediocre at best and there have been a few times where we’ve had to flag them down during non-busy times. Though it’s not terrible as to where we would not go back. We visited Gotham about a month ago with two other friends and they said it was one of the best diner they’ve ever gone to. Their food was not oily or dry, no burns on their toast and they said service was pretty good. So for those who have not visited this place, you might want to give it a try.

Here’s a picture of my burnt disco fries that have been sitting here for at least 15 minutes while we get ignored by the entire wait staff. My boyfriend would have been long finished with his meal if he wasn’t trying to save some for me because NOONEHASCHECKED on us. My plate is sitting on the edge of the table untouched in clear view.

Food is good, use to be better. I come here every weekend. The lady up front is awesome and the sweetest. However the morning manager Tamer always has the«i hate my job» face on which is okay since I never need to interact with him. Today was a different story… I unfortunately had to interact with him and due to the horrendous attitude he has given me. I will never step foot in here again. When a manager says«Whatever.» To a customer. That should never be okay.

Food is decent, nothing special. My last visit was pretty bad due to the service. Went with 3 friends. The waitress came took our order. We received our food almost an hour later. We went late at night and it was pretty empty. I don’t understand why it took that long. We were very close to cancelling and leaving. After we received our food, the waitress never came back a single time to check on us. We had to ask one of the bus boys walking around for anything we needed. The waitress finally showed up to our table when it looked empty and it was time to pay. Unless there isn’t anything else open, I’ll probably never be going back here.

I hate this place because the service is shit but I come back for breakfast because I appreciate the variety of eggs benedict they offer. Eventually, I will fulfill Ra’s Al Ghul’s destiny…

9:45pm — Wifey gets the munchies, her first mystifying craving since getting pregnant. I was too drunk to go anywhere so we rummage thru our pile of menus, but nobody would deliver at this hour. The next 10 minutes felt like a(hopeless) scavenger hunt. Then suddenly, Gotham City Diner enters my brain like Mariano at yankee stadium. I just had a good feeling. I called at 9:55 and they tell me their delivery cut-off is 10pm! Since I wanted to give my wife sufficient time to peruse their menu, I promised to call back within 3 minutes. We ordered the chicken pesto panini and reuben sandwich. Here’s why I give them a perfect score: There was no attitude from the restaurant when I ordered a couple minutes past 10pm. Our food arrived within 30 minutes as promised. They honored my wife’s request to replace french fries with sweet potato fries. Napkins, utensils, and ketchup were included. Cole slaw and pickles were individually packaged for both of us. Most restaurants won’t provide these little gestures. And the ones that do will typically neglect at least one thing(especially late at night). Gotham City Dinner gave us hope again. The only thing missing was the cape. The best part? Not only was the reuben so big that fries had to be packaged in a separate container, but without having to ask, there was PLENTY of russian dressing on the side. I have zero tolerance for restaurants who forget the sauce. And while I question the concept of open-faced sandwiches, having a sea of russian dressing(along with cole slaw and pickles) helped me abandon my beliefs and happily devour over a pound of food. Given my wife’s silence, I can safely assume she had unquestionably satisfied her craving as well.

This is probably my favorite diner, but I haven’t come as often since the price increase. A typical plate is at least $ 15+, but they have various dishes like sandwiches, burgers, pastas, seafood, steaks, salads, and etc. All their plates are well seasoned and have large portions. I highly recommend their breakfast menu in my humble opinion :) Can Order Online or Over the Phone Delivery & Take Out Friendly Service Average Sized Parking Lot

My absolute favorite diners to go to! Their food is by far the best around and they deliver too! I always order breakfast, lunch, or dinner from here and its delicious every time! The service is great and the owners are very nice as well. They open early and close very late. If you are ever in the mood for diner food this is the diner you want to go to hands down! Must try the BBQ chicken wrap its delish!

they have gotten a lot better from what i remember. their food tastes better, bigger portions, and reasonably priced. the gryo’s good, the burger’s and other meats don’t come out the temperature you order it though… all well done!!! besides that, the food is generally good and well portioned for a hungry eater. the menu consists of typical diner foods, breakfast, lunch, dinner at any time. the service is okay… they get fairly busy at lunch time and the service lags behind, but nothing significant. they take orders slowly, but the food comes out relatively fast after you’ve ordered it. Overall, it’s a typical diner with good food options. I’d come here again if the diner mood strikes.

We visit Gotham City Diner more times than we check in… I’ve tried several dishes and one of my favorites is the Thai Salad. …uI change the dressing to their house dressing which is delicious. …believe me… I dont usually use salad dressing at all, but definitely use that one. Their lobster ravioli is great too! I always get a cappuccino and either rice pudding or tiramisu. …yummy!

The menu offers a variety of meals for all palates! The best diner here within the area. They also serve alcohol, which is good around here. If you have a sweet tooth, please try their Almond Crunch Cake. I love it! Their flan is not served everyday(last time I checked), but it was so delicious … they should serve it more often. I usually order Penne Ala Vodka with breaded shrimp. It is so good. Breakfast is so good, the place is always packed.

I went on a Saturday for breakfast and had steak benedict and downtown omelette. Both very good and totally loved the steak benedict. They have various benedict selections I’d try next time! Coffee was just ok, atmosphere and service typical of diners.

Two Words: London Broil Wrap All Day! I may or may not have went over. I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and I love this place. Honestly, this is is the best diner food I’ve had, ever. If you like food I highly and sincerely recommend the London broil wrap. It is accompanied by curly fries. Make sure to order house sauce on the side.

This place is fantastic if you ever make it in the early mornings for their breakfast special. I no longer have the luxury of being able to come here during that time slot, but as of about a year ago, they offered 2 eggs, home fries, toast, coffee, small juice for $ 3.95. Throw down a fiver and you’re good(I’ve heard they’ve since raised it a bit, but I don’t imagine it being much). There was a time when I came here multiple times a week during breakfast and stayed for hours with friends, but the wait staff was extremely friendly and even remembered our orders. When I go at the right times, I still see the waiter from then sometimes. By the way, if you feel like splurging on breakfast, Gotham also has one of the best pork sausages. I think besides actually grilling it myself(or having a friend grill it), Gotham City Diner has my favorite pork sausages. All of their food is pretty good — you can’t go wrong ordering most things. I personally usually opt for a sandwich with fries, and they are very good about swapping out certain things like replacing an ingredient in your burger or getting veggies instead of fries. On nights that you want to spend more money than you really should at a diner, I suggest getting their calamari. It’s not your usual calamari in that the squid is cut larger and the batter is fried more thinly, but somehow that big-cut, lightly breaded calamari combos into something amazing. Make sure you reach for the Tabasco that is handy at every table at this fine establishment. Highly recommend.

(I wish I could give 3 and a half stars, because that’s really what it deserves) I consider myself lucky to live only one block away from this pretty solid diner, especially because they offer free, speedy delivery, plus the inside décor is cool; modern and city-themed for when I stop in for a quick bite. While the menu is massive, trust me when I say you can’t go wrong with creating your own salad from their Custom Chopped Salads menu, all made to order with fresh ingredients. Nice, filling portions all around plus complimentary curly fries and pickle/coleslaw with every wrap! Come in here on a Sunday morning for fresh pancakes made from scratch, and you’ll be pleased to be greeted with the delicious smell of fresh coffee as soon as you walk in. Service is average, nothing to brag about but rest assured I’ll continue to stay a regular here.

The inside looks like NYC. There are subway signs, handle bars like you would find on a train, etc. It’s pretty cute. Also, it’s bigger on the inside. Disclaimer: This review might be lower rated because I did not really have an appetite this weekend so all food was all bleh to me. We got the pepperoni pizza over the top fries. It was literally fries with mozz cheese and pepperoni slices. The marinara sauce was a bit dried up and not as much as I expected. I also got the avocado benny. There was a bit too much sauce and the bread was a bit too hard to chew through. I think overall, if you’re craving diner food and you’re not expecting mind-blowing stuff this place will hit the spot. I do love diner food a lot, but I wasn’t too impressed or excited about it.
