Food was ok. A couple of items were original and fusion, but the rest was ok. A little pricey for the offerings.

I understand that their standard Chinese isn’t the best but I’m okay with that. I keep eating the same thing, the spicy Thai soup and the Szechuan Shrimp. The shrimp are huge and delicious. The star is the soup. Spicy and fabulous. My guy loves the beef with string beans. The kids say the chicken and broccoli is not as good or the same as they are used to. Oh well, learn to eat the soup! Friendly staff, pleasant place. 3.5 stars for not pleasing everyone.

I have never given one star before but this place deserves it. First, my husband found a long hair inside his spring roll. Then my pork dumplings came, I bit into it and it was completely raw. Raw, uncooked pork. I showed them and they said apologized, but it doesn’t change the fact that I ate raw pork. We looked them up online and they have been shut down NINE times from health code violations. Any of the good reviews on here I’m guessing are from before it changed ownership. A few years ago it was a really good restaurant, and completely different. The menu now is nothing like it was. And besides all this, even the food that wasn’t raw or had hairs in it was just bad. Spring rolls were barely filled, the vegetables were soggy. They also have no unique entrees like they used to. The staff was nice, but that’s the only positive thing I can say. Do not go to this restaurant. It is not worth paying for.

The food is good, though the menu has been the same forever. Not sure how this place stays in business as it is always empty and their once bustling take-out business has all but vanished. We were there for about an hour and a half recently, and while we dined not one other table walked in, nor did the phone ring. Take-out used to be a madhouse!

A great mix of a few Asian cuisines. Everything that I have had is very good and very reasonably priced. Love this place… You will not be disappointed.

This is my favorite Asian food restaurant. I’m very picky. I’ve only been coming here since summer 2014, so can’t speak for earlier bad reviews. But I’ve never had a bad experience.

We bought a take out from Wild Ginger tonight. Lets start with us asking twice for duck sauce and mustard, got home… none. Wonton soup: wontons were mushy, overlooked, tasteless. Soup barren of flavor. Asked if dishes we ordered were fried, were told no… all 3 dishes were fried. Chicken and shrimp dish, a meat dish, pork fried rice yuck! Usually we save leftovers for the next day or 2 but I wouldn’t insult our fridge with the inedible slop. Garbage. I recommend avoiding this restaurant on every level. Obviously nothing has changed from the previous ownership.

I feel bad the reviews have been so terrible. I’ve been there throughout the years, and have never had any problems. In fact, I remember one time I went a couple years ago they gave us free drinks and desert. I went recently on a Friday, and it was completey packed… it has a more upscale asian-dining feel, and enjoyable ambiance. I think for a sushi/chinese restaurant it’s awesome. Food is GREAT!

The restaurant was extremely bright too many lights, not good for a nice date. My date said the sushi was pretty good, however that does not make up for the fact that there were flies in the soy sauce and dead ones floating as well. which makes me lose my appetite.

Slowwww take out. They promised 20 – 25 minutes and it once was an hour and then the next time we walked out before getting our food at all. They also had a child working the front desk, very unprofessional.

Wild Ginger USED to be one of my favorite take out spots. However twice in the past two weekends the service was unacceptable! Last weekend we ordered take out on a Sunday night and we were told to come by in 25 – 30 minutes. Naturally I was running late so we showed up around the 4o min mark//No Food. All in all it took and hour and 3 other customers were crowding the take our space near the front door. Yesterday we ordered again(Sunday evening at 7pm). They said it would be 25 minutes, but I knew better. We showed up at 8pm. NOFOOD! We asked to speak to a manager since a 10 year old boy was manning the front desk. He told us there were no managers. We found a wait staff and tried to explain our frustration and wanted a time estimate. The wait staff would not even looks us in the eye or stop what they were doing. Hostess finally emerged from the kitchen with a piece of scrap paper and started taking down names of the 7 other people waiting for food, in order to prioritize which food was coming out first. Unacceptable service for an expensive meal with no apologies and no discounts.

I think Wild Ginger did an extraordinary job renovating their restaurant !!! The interior design has improved and raised the eating atmosphere and environment to a higher standard ! The add-on sushi bar made life so much easier because me and my family and friends are now able to get both Japanese and Chinese food! What a perfect combination! This sure bring me to Wild Ginger more often!!! They’ve Renew the chefs to a more experienced ones, because the taste of the foods sure have improved since a couple years ago! Definitely worth a try!!! Friendly staffs sure makes you feeling more welcoming !!!

I enjoyed this Asian bistro in Ridgefield. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Will definitely revisit.

Overall, good go-to place for asian food in the Ridgefield area. It’s one in a small chain of restaurants — so quality is pretty consistent from what I have seen(I ate at the Bronxville location a number of times). Very busy take-out and I detest navigating the parking lot on a busy Friday or Saturday night — but that isn’t their fault. Overall, quick good service. I’ve eaten at the Ridgefield location twice and both times the service was efficient and the staff was friendly. Food was good — nothing out of this world but it was tasty! I would go back again but only after trying out Ki’s in Danbury. I hear it is delicious. For a quick neighborhood restaurant — I would come back. Thai Pearl in Ridgefield also but I have only gotten take out and I believe they microwaved my food(I’ll review that one next).

I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered steamed vegetables with shrimp and they forgot the brown sauce. I called to tell them and they didn’t seem to care. So I wasted $ 15 on bland vegetables and shrimp. I would expect better service or at least an apology.

NOOOO! Clearly, there was a reason why this placed closed years ago. Now, it is resurrected and without a bang! Fried rice– lacking flavor! Age Dashi tofu– the easiest to make, they don’t know how. Singapore noodles– average. What makes it ok? Wait staff. They were very accommodating with criticisms. BTW, sushi is average. I will go to Maru or Mannen. I will not be surprised if this place closes before Xmas. But then again, it is now a chain.

Wild Ginger is open again. Never having been to its previous incarnation, we thought we’d give it a try. The restaurant is nice looking in a gray and black contempo sort of way. The waitstaff was pleasant and efficient. The food was good. We are big Sichuan fans, and what attracted us to this place was the fact that a couple dishes on the menu are described as being«Szechuan» or with«Szechuan Peppercorn Sauce». While the dishes we ordered were tasty, there was no evidence of anything Sichuan about them; no peppercorns, no peppercorn oil, no ground chiles. Having said that, the meal was, if not stellar, very good.

Wild Ginger used to be my favorite Asian restaurant in the area. We loved coming here for the refreshing, delicious southeast Asian dishes. The former manager(Ben) really knew how to run this place, getting to know customers, their preferences, etc. However, we have observed a decline in quality over the past year or two. Wild Ginger used to serve delicious pickled vegetables as a free appetizer. Now they serve deep fried wontons with duck sauce, something you’d expect at a low-end Asian restaurant. Their soups and other dishes also seem to lack the bright and fresh flavour we had come to love. My favorite dishes were pad thai, red snapper, cold sesame noodles, red curry soup, and honey walnut chicken and shrimp. I’m sure many of their dishes are still delicious, and the atmosphere is excellent(cozy-urban). However, the decline may be just a sign of the times as many restaurants cut back due to the economic conditions. We’ll be back to see how WG is doing, but probably won’t visit as frequently as we used to.
