Great inventory and they did not try to up-​sell me, Their prices are competitive. The only downside is the poor parking situation in downtown Ridgewood but the upside is that you can avoid going into a mall.

I came in as they were closing. The guy was so friendly and helpful. I had taken my luggage to Bloomingdales, where I bought it, and they said it would take 4 weeks to fix. They fixed it in 5 minutes with a smile! Thanks so much! :-)

Shops like this don’t exist anymore. only in Europe really. Fine leather goods, leather repair, mom and pop shop with caring and knowledgable service.
The smell is intoxicating when you walk in the shop. If you’re looking for luggage, small and hard-​to-​find accessories or a great place for men’s (and ladies) gifts, this is the place.
They pack a large selection in a somewhat deceivingly smaller shop. Briefcases, check book covers, pens, umbrellas, travel cases.
Very impressed and will continue to shop here many more years to come I am sure.

I found Jekyll & Hide Luggage online as I was looking for a repair shop for my luggage. When I arrived what I found was a huge selection of luggage, leather goods, travel items and gifts. The gentleman working there was polite and extremely helpful. It reminded me of shops I would find in Italy. I will be back! I highly recommend this store.

I must wholeheartedly disagree with Bob A. I brought in three pieces of luggage that needed repair on a Saturday late morning– two needed new handles, and the other needed some heavy nylon straps repaired and restitched. When I asked when they would be ready, I jokingly suggested later that day. They told me they needed 3 – 4 days as they weren’t sure if they had all of the parts in the store.
Well about two hours later I get a call from them saying they had the parts, and by the way, the work was done an I could pick the three pieces up at my leisure. Wow — this really made my life easy, as I work in NYC, and getting there during the week would be nearly impossible, and I was leaving on a trip the following weekend.
Suffice to say that the work was done first rate.
Also, they have a gorgeous retail store — with tons of merchandise on display. I came to know that it’s a family owned business, and these people really know their luggage — something the department store folks are clearly lacking in.

Jekyll and Hide assisted me with repair of a Hartmann bag. Since Hartmann has been purchased by another company, they explained that it may take longer than usual to complete the repair. (The bag had to be sent out for the repair.) Throughout the process, they left voicemail messages to keep me advised of the status. When the bag was returned, I was very happy with the repair work. I would recommend them for any type of luggage repair.

This is a great small shop-​if you live in northern NJ come here to find a great selection of luggage, briefcases and travel gadgets-​also the woman of the team who owns this has a good eye for small things-​so also a great place for a lower priced present-​such as a colorful makeup bag for a wedding, holiday or vacation or birthday gift and you don’t have to brave the mall to find something there.
