Showed up on time for the estimate, received estimate via email shortly after and scheduled the job. Small painting job in my office. When I checked on the job after it was done, the office was clean and neat and ready to go.

I have lived in Ridgewood for 31 years, owning two homes during that time. I am now in the process of readying my current home for sale, while living abroad. Over the years I have employed many electricians, plumbers and painters that I have been perfectly happy with. Much of the work I have done myself. However, my current«to do» list is extremely varied– from cement patching and brick patio power washing to replacing light bulbs in exterior fixtures and the removal of outdated swags and side panel curtains. I could have called several individuals to do this work, but the beauty of Man Around the House is that you only need to make the one call, only have one individual to schedule. Paul was efficient and courteous, advising me of materials needed for the work, giving me the opportunity to decide which products to use, and letting me know what he had accomplished and what he still needed to do. Sonia was a pleasure to work with via email, allowing a smooth scheduling process. I have seen their trucks around town for years. They were the perfect solution for my current needs, truly top professionals!

When we moved to town about 1 year ago our home needed some work done, and in a pretty tight time frame — I asked my Realtor and a local friend for referrals, and BOTH gave me the same name. I figured that must be a sign. Here where my priorities: 1. A local presence. I wanted someone who worked often in my town, and knew my neighborhood. 2. Full time employees. We were not living in the home full time and I didn’t want dozens of different people in an out of my home for weeks. I wanted to know the same painter would be working at my house every day. and that painter was a known and trusted employee of the company. 3. A varied menu of services: This house needed a lot of things done to it — floors, windows, painting, kitchen reno, small and big jobs involving third party service providers, and I work full time– I didn’t have the time to research and hire a plumber, and a floor guy, and an electrician, and a tile guys, etc. and Jon and Terry pretty much handled all of it. Including when things when off schedule and required some evening or weekend visits, and schedule negotiations with other people. Fast forward to a year later — my house is wonderful. Their employees have touched pretty much every room including jobs outside(fixing steps, fence trim, gutter cleaning, etc)…and I never think about calling someone else. Why should I? It would be a waste of my time.
