This is your typical bodega. They make great breakfast sandwiches and cold-cuts. They sell random home products like shampoo, iphone chargers and a bunch of other random things. They sell sweets and chips. They have hot and cold foods that you can purchase at any time. I have only been here a couple of times but I know the owners have changed a bunch of times over the years.

This is my corner bodega. The guys in here are really nice. The coffee is crap, but I still get it occasionally because I can always count on being asked the same three questions when I do. Me: Small black coffee, please. N&D: BLACK? N&D: You sure? N&D: No sugar? Not sure why the guy can never believe that I want black coffee, but I appreciate the exchange. It cracks me up. The breakfast sandwiches are cheap, tasty and made to order, and yes, the rumors are true, Mama O’s Kimchi is made in the back room. They don’t keep a lot in stock here, but they usually have a few of the following: Mama O’s Napa Cabbage Kimchi Mama O’s Daikon Kimchi Mama O’s Baby Bok Choy Kimchi Mama O’s Kimchi Chili Mama O’s Pico do Gallo This place is real. Check it out.

This is an average corner bodega… with a secret. Hidden behind a door in the rear is where Mama O’s Kimchi is produced. You can buy it here for $ 5 a jar, half of what it sells for at foodie gourmet shops in Manhattan.
