This place is freaking awesome! Onion rings are like crack.

Worst service ever!!! Walked in it was busy, ok understandable cleared counter space for 2. We gracefully declined preferring a table as my husband has had multiple back surgeries and sitting on the stools aggravates the injury. Waitress got all pissy stating it was going to be a long wait as they only had just serviced the larger parties with their meals. I smiled and we agreed to wait, another party of 3 walks in behind us complaining of the line at the door and almost immediately gets seated at a booth. Talk about discrimination, we walked out and will NEVER return we will also be telling all our friends and family about our«service» or lack of. Disability does not always present itself on the outside people so if you are unable to gracefully handle customer requests maybe your in the wrong career… Very unhappy customer and if I could rate 0 star I would have!!!

I am finally taking the time to review the Hometown Diner. I’ve probably eaten there a dozen times or so since it opened. The first thing you notice is the attentiveness of the wait staff. They are fast, friendly, and always keep your glass filled with what ever you’re drinking. Bonnie is a sweetheart who makes you feel as if you’re eating in her home. The food is excellent with a pretty diverse menu and large portions. I typically go for breakfast and am stuffed by the time we leave. The poutine is one of my favorites. My only complaint is sometimes there is a wait to get a place to sit, which obviously is a direct result of how popular the diner is.

Traditional Diner with good food. Limited liquor license. In business a few years, they already have a good following. A good addition to the Monadnock region.

Throwback to the traditional diner — setting & menu! I’ve only had breakfast here, but it was tasty and as ordered. The lunch menu was very inviting and may be worth a try in the near future. There are always lots of cars in the parking lot, but the waitstaff and kitchen are very efficient — and also friendly. It really feels like«Home Town.»

It is exactly what you’d expect out of a diner. Quick service, hot coffee, and great pancakes. The best thing on their menu has to be their hash, regardless of what you order, get a side of their hash! Perfect Sunday morning spot!

I absolutely love this place. The servers are as nice as can be and it’s obvious that the owner cares about the food she serves. I’ve never had a bad meal here. My personal favorite is the Yankee Pot Roast with mashed potatoes, gravy and vegetables. We’ve had breakfast here many times and it is always great. The seafood is always fresh and plentiful. My «go to» is the pot roast. Did I mention the service is great and I love the pot roast? You can’t go wrong here!

We had a great lunch: BLT with perfect sweet potato fries; turkey club with incredibly light onion rings. Highly recommend!

We stopped here for a quick bite before attending a burial at Cathedral at the Pines. Food was served quickly. My fish sandwich was awesome, moist and of a good portion. The onion rings were spot on and very enjoyable. My wife’s three cheese grilled cheese served on restaurant baked sourdough bread(all breads except the burger buns made here, but even the buns seem to be better than usual) with great french fries. We will return. The prices are great compared to the portions that are served. We saw a huge mac and cheese served at another table. We could have shared it. And the waitress had the chief prepare a lobster mac and cheese for another patron that was not on the menu. We overheard many patrons discuss that they are repeat customers. Muffins are baked here too. Well worth it. Great staff.

Food is ok. The chili tastes like Home chili in a can. It’s a nice friendly environment with patio seating.

Ate here for the first time on Sunday, and we were very pleased. I had the chli dogs and my wife ordered the patty melt with onion rings. The dogs were great, although I’d have preferred melted cheese instead of the cheese sauce on the chile. Huge portion of fries came with the dogs and they were very tasty. My wife loved the patty melt, and she raved about the terrific onion rings which were battered instead of breaded. All in all, a great place to stop for a meal!

Sometimes you just have to give a place an A just because. The fact that it’s in Rindge gives it a handicap right from the go because of population density. That fact makes it a «drive to» destination in most cases. When I run the numbers in my head I can’t see how a business can survive here. But then after eating I understood why, It’s because she tries hard. A good spirited owner with a strong sense of ambition. The place bleeds comfort food. Wednesday nights during the summer they hold a bike night. Tonight was a tad chilly but even being, a few came out. With a special menu for this evening we went for a head shot. The Menage a trois. Three oversized tacos one chicken, one fish and one pork. Corn and bean salsa, grated cheddar and calypso coleslaw. SCORE! Burgers, Pulled pork, haddock, homemade rings, all made the table. No disappointments. If you’re looking for light fare this is not the place. Its heavy, some of its fried but if it kills your body it must sooth your soul because I will go back, and then go back again, and then maybe again. I may stop some time when I am in the area again and just sit and have pie. Great little place with a sharp retro look. Meal for 2 priced in at $ 35.00 including tip. Servers were spot on, food was fresh and place was clean. Menu covered all the bases. Nice work.

Did you just wake up at 4am to climb a mountain and are so starving and tired that you could explode? That was me!!! I was SOO happy we found this place. It was certainly meant to be! It looks like the cutest diner from the outside and I have to say that I wasn’t expecting much. I have been to lots of diners in the midwest and usually they are slightly dirty, dingy and has the greasiest food(I’m not judging, I am usually totally ok with it just for the record). Anyhow, the inside was so clean and the food was really good and hot! The waitstaff sort of have a no BS type of attitude and you shortly realize there are they to take care of business. I ordered an omelette and they put american cheese on it(my dream!). The coffee was hot and everything hit the spot after that long trek up and down Mt. Monadnock. i will say that next time I would ask for my toast dry, I always forget that diners slap that butter on and it makes the toast soggy. But seriously give this place a shot!

What a great addition to the area. The best biscuits and gravy I have had in New England, and I have had a lot! My son had the special carmel apple pancakes he loved them. I would highly recommend you check it out, if you have a chance. By the way they are now serving breakfast all day

The Hometown Diner is finally open in Rindge, serving up breakfast & lunch, located along NH119 several yards east of the US202 intersection. Several months ago, this vintage 1949 Silk diner car was transported from Ohio to Rindge and construction began. This diner car has a classic feel inside with counter seating and 6 wooden booths along the front windows, ceramic tile floors, and flatscreen TVs at each end of the diner. The kitchen area is attached to the dining car. The breakfast menu offerings(served until 10:45AM) include eggs, omelets, bennies, breakfast sandwiches/wraps, pancakes, French toast, homemade corned beef hash, oatmeal with syrup & brown sugar, and breakfast sides. The prices for most breakfast entrees $ 3.95-$ 7.95. The lunch menu offerings(served 11AM to close) include appetizers(fried foods, wings, chicken tenders), salads, soups, chili, Angus burgers, sandwiches, clubs, comfort dishes(liver & onions, hot roast beef sandwich, hot turkey sandwich, chicken parm, hand breaded chicken breast platter), and desserts(shakes & ice cream treats). The prices for most entrees $ 6.95-$ 8.95. A kids menu is offered and specials are posted behind the counter. Pepsi fountain drinks and New England Coffee served here. I stopped by the new(or should say classic) Hometown Diner in Rindge on Saturday. There was a line out the door and the place was mobbed with folks trying out the new local eatery. The folks waiting in line were actually waiting for an open booth, so I went inside and found an open stool at the counter. It took a while to be helped and waited on since it was extremely crazy busy and the kitchen had a backlog of breakfast orders. It was about time for lunch(no more breakfast orders), so I ordered a Classic Reuben($ 7.95) served with hand cut fries. My food took about 25 minutes to be served after ordering. While waiting for lunch, the kitchen manager came out to the dining area to make an announcement thanking customers for their support and patience with the wait times explaining that they are new and«working like dogs» back in the kitchen. The other manager was also asking customers if they received their food yet. The Classic Reuben was meh, which had thin slices of lean deli meat(sorta like ham), Swiss cheese & sauerkraut on grilled rye bread, but the thousand island dressing was missing. The hand cut fries were soft and undercooked(oily on the outside), not hot and crispy(frying oil needs to be hotter). I finished my food quickly and got the waitress’s attention for my check. I paid exact change with tip and boogied out of the busy diner. I would normally give this experience a 2 star rating(for an established business), but to be fair, this diner is a brand new business, which still needs to work out the kinks, especially during busy times. I did appreciate seeing the management checking on customers, running the kitchen and assisting the waitstaff serving the food. I will wait a while until things are worked out and give Hometown Diner another try on a typical weekday next time I’m out on the road in Rindge with my coworkers. Open Tuesday-Sunday 5:30AM-2:00PM
