The last real video store in town, and it has a little of everything in it. Books, music, movies, and lots of odds and ends. Good prices, helpful staff, and I always find something I need.

If I could give a negative star I would. Words can’t begin to explain my contempt for this store.
We went in to exchange a book, exchange, not return. The clerk after wasting time, told us we couldn’t exchange the book at the rio rancho location (as it wasn’t purchased there).
You know Hastings if can’t can’t come up with better customer service than what you have, I won’t shed a tear when you finally go belly up.
You want customers to shop local, treat them like they count. You suck, and your staff is moronic.

I took some books on tape into this store, as have done at the Hastings in Albuquerque to see if they would purchase any of them for their used section. At the other Hastings in Albuquerque, they usually purchased a few and kept the ones they did not want would be returned when I went back. However at the Hastings in Rio Rancho, I had a shock and was very upset when I returned to pick up the books on tape they did not want and was told they had been destroyed and thrown out. They said if they were left over 3 days, this is what they do. I can’t believe they would do this without telling me when they were dropped off or calling me and letting me know if I didn’t pick them up in the next day they would be destroyed. I never had this problem at the other Hastings and I left them a week at least before I could return. This is terrible customer service and less than ethical business practice.

Friendly staff. Difficult to find CD — Ariana Grande. Dingy — quiet — dated. Well lit parking lot. Discount books displayed in front of store — inadequate lighting.

I have only been here a couple times but every time I do go there it’s super fun place to go too. They also have such cool and fun deals there going on at all times .
Its a perfect place to stop by on the way home from work on the weekends to just get some snacks and movies and go home under the blanks and watch some good old movies :)
Btw I’m not fully for sure what his name is but I think it’s Jake he is always up there at the cash register and I have to say every time I come in and go to check out he is always the friendlest and funny outgoing guy to talk too and he’s a big help ! So overall great place to go too so go check it out for yourselves:)

what is not to love …
the book I wanted was in hardback (sorry, not gonna pay 30 bones for that), sigh
ended up getting another book anyway…
will be back, staff was great
