We had a great stay here! The cabins are a real bargain for the price, considering the view and how close you are to the city of Chattanooga. For the record, we stayed in a family cabin with a spa tub — no kitchen, though they do have cabins with kitchens available for an extra cost. What we loved most about the cabin was the comfortable bed(got GREAT sleep), the view, the spa tub, the location, and the price. The family cabins are very small however, and I’d never stay there with any more than 1 other person. The bottom floor is a studio with the spa tub in the same room as the bed which, along with the 4 person dining table placed smack in the middle of the room, makes the space feel cramped, not cozy. The upstairs had two twin beds and nothing else, which was great because there was more room to move around up there. My tips for staying here: their website is WRONG — Google Maps *will* take you there via gps, so no need to try to decipher the grainy map on their website. The address to use is 177 Scenic View lane, Trenton, GA, and you can easily just search the name on Google Maps and get there just the same. The cabins without kitchens have coffee makers and grills, but no filters, mugs, or utensils whatsoever, so be sure to bring *EVERYTHING* you’ll need for the kitchen. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, so in the winter you should be emotionally prepared to use the bathroom with the door open, or you can bring your own space heater(or just shiver on the toilet). The hot water runs out before the spa tub gets full. I even told the manager about that and she had the owner come turn up our hot water heater, but the hot water still ran out before the tub was full — it was just warmer than before. The hot water gets warm quickly though, and after about 15 minutes of soaking I turned the water back on was able to fill the tub up properly. I didn’t mind that at all and it won’t keep me from returning. No cleaning fee as well, as long as you do a few cleaning tasks before checkout, which is just putting towels away and taking out trash. Big FYI: the family cabins are very close together and very close to the main road. If you need something more private it’s best to call and ask for suggestions. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple, comfortable, rustic getaway.

The cabin was almost perfect. The scenery can’t be beat, and it is exceptionally cozy and just the right amount of rustic – not to mention that the price is an amazing bargain. The linens are clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owners live on the premises, and they are very laid back. This would be a five-star review if it weren’t for the dead bugs in the windowsills. I will definitely be back, though!

Unfortunately our dog was attacked by a venomous snake just outside the cabin we stayed in. We rushed our dog to the animal hospital, and since they wanted to keep him under observation, we completed our stay at the cabin and paid for the trip without complaint… I’m not an idiot and I realize that the owners cannot control the wildlife. When we returned home, I called to let the owners know what had happened so that they could check to make sure the large venomous snake was not living under the cabin(and maybe avoid a lawsuit from a less understanding guest). Rather than expressing concern or asking how my dog was recovering, the response was, «we’re not responsible for that.» The staff was incredibly rude. The cabin was fine if you like«rustic»(meaning dead moths and spiders everywhere, rodent droppings on the picnic table, and a $ 50 cleaning fee for not taking your trash out). I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone after what happened to us. I love a rustic cabin in the woods, but if you brave this place bring a vacuum and leave your dog at home.

We called at the last minute as we were working in the area and didn’t want to head back to Michigan too quickly… The only cabin available was Blakes cabin. It was perfect for us as it sleeps 2 – 4 people and there were only the two of us. The authentic log built cabin is located in the side of Lookout Mountain, Trenton, Georgia about 30 minutes from Chattanooga, 10 minutes from the little town of Trenton where there are many major conveniences. We were told that the cabins were built using all natural materials found on the land, which is apparent and is what give them character. The cabin itself was adorable. Built in 2008. Complete w/a comfortable queen sized bed, futon/couch, heater/ac, full-mini kitchen, full bathroom, gas bbq, gas fireplace, little western facing deck to watch the sunset from and 2 rocking chairs to complete the whole experience. We have verizon and had excellent phone & wifi service. The TV only gets a few channels so we went to Bi-lo, their local grocery store and rented a few dvd’s from the blockbuster express box. We cooked some burgers, steaks and pasta. The weather, March 11 – 13, was in the 70’s during the day, 40’s at night. It’s naturally cooler up in the mountains. The cabins are about 300‑1000 yards apart so it’s plenty private but you can see them from each other. The sizes range from 2 people up. The photos on their website don’t particularly go with the wording and it appears that they are building more up higher. The only downside was that you might bring a mixing bowl, paper plates, ice, a kitchen sink scrubbie & hand soap. Their are scurrying sounds in the attic in the evening but no evidence that the mice every get inside the cabin. And we did not see a single creature, which was disappointing but maybe it’s just that time of year in that area. We’re not familiar with it. We will definitely return here!
