Carlo’s Pizza Brew Pasta Too

This pizza place has the best wings in Riverhead! They are perfectly seasoned with a generous amount of sauce. We go there all the time just for them! Their pizza is delicious as well! Their sauce has the perfect amount of ingredients so it’s not acidic like other pizza places. This is our favorite pizza place! The only thing we haven’t tried is the Italian dinners.

He earned two stars for delivery in less then an hour. He lost the second star when we tasted the food. If you are starving and need delivery, seriously consider the pain of death by starving as a positive outcome of not eating here.

Good slices. I had the pepperoni and the buffalo. The pepperoni’s crust was nice and crispy, the buffalo not as much, but still tasty. Sauce is good, they put a lot of cheese on it, which I like. Also, it’s steps from Moustache Brewing Company, so…

Taste like English muffin pizza made with ragu; take that as you see it. Amazingly they change tax too, every other place in NY includes tax but they ask for it. Ask for a receipt make sure they show tax, that way the IRS really gets your money and not a phony we charge tax but pocket it.

Best pizza in Riverhead. Guys behind the counter are always friendly and prices are great.

Someone we met while at the American Legion Post (while I was in town for the Thanksgiving weekend) recommended this place for their Veal Parmesan. So last night we gave it a try and was disappointed in the quality of the Veal. Although the portion sizes are very generous it seems that this place is more about quantity than quality in my opinion. My serving had some grizzle in the veal the other portion was TERRIBLE and could barely be cut with the serrated knife provided.
The other review recommended the pizza, so maybe people should stick to that. As for our experience I would have rated it with zero stars if that were possible.
When I was paying as we left the person behind the counter asked how everything was, and when we told him how disappointed we were in the cut of veal he made no attempt to «make it right» by perhaps adjusting the price or offering us a discount to come back and give them another try, etc. The question is? Why bother to ask the customer if everything was alright if one is not going to make an attempt to rectify a problem. We will NOT be going back.

I tried Carlo’s while I was in town for my cousin’s wedding and staying over at the Hilton Garden Inn. I called the front desk and asked for the nearest pizza place that would deliver to the hotel and wasn’t a chain so I could get my fix for some authentic New York pizza.
I put in my order to Carlo’s and grabbed a seat at the hotel bar so I could see the front door. About twenty minutes later a guy in an apron walks in with my pie. It was the same guy that answered the phone to take my order! You certainly can’t find that kind of service in California where I live.
The pizza was excellent and hit the spot. I highly recommend Carlo’s to any fellow travelers in search of a tasty New York pizza.
