Pizza Hut

Everything is horrible here, from the service to the food. I stopped in after not having Pizza Hut for years, and I waited over twenty minutes for my food, another 10minutes for the check, And now I’m waiting for the server to take my money, over 15 minutes thus far. I ordered the thin pizza with black olives, mushrooms and spinach. The crust was cardboard, the mushrooms and black olives were dry, and the spinach, which was fresh, was just thrown on the pizza. This is so bad that I will never eat at a Pizza Hut ever again. The time I have spent here, I could have gone to a nice Italian restaurant and had some fine Italian cuisine. This place is horrible.

I went to this location for pizza last night with 3 other people. My husband and I arrived first and were seated by the manager and were given our beverages. We told her we were waiting for 2 other people and would place our order once they arrived. A few minutes later our friends joined us at our booth. There were 2 people waiting on tables and it was about medium paced. We noticed that there was a large group celebrating a birthday and both waitresses were serving them. We waited, and waited, and waited. The large birthday group left and we thought someone would finally come to take our order. Instead the waitresses busied themselves by checking on the salad bar, cleaning empty tables, and chit chatting with other customers. By this time another large group had been seated and were given their beverages. After waiting for 45 minutes I finally walked up the the front and asked if anyone was going to take our order. We placed our order. The food was delicious but we needed to scavenge for our own utensils. After we were finished eating the manager came over to ask us if we were ok. We said yes, since we had been fed. I would still go back to this Pizza Hut since the pizza is so good. The service could be better though.

For me, Pizza Hut as a chain won’t truly rate 5 stars until they add a vegan cheese or vegan protein option. But this Pizza Hut in Riverhead is as good as one could expect from a Pizza Hut.
I have never dined here – I’ve only done take-​out– but from what I’ve observed, the restaurant is clean and the staff is attentive and courteous. On my most recent visit to pick up a vegetarian pizza for my family ($ 10 for a large pie/​any toppings… you can’t beat that). Allie, the young lady at the counter was also pulling waitress duty, was very friendly and professional with me and with all of the diners with whom I saw her interact. Two young men who were preparing the pizzas were also professional and cordial. The pizza was hot and was prepared very nicely. The vegetarians in my family enjoyed it. Now, how amazing would it be if this Pizza Hut would be the first to offer vegan cheese and toppings like tofu, tempeh, or seitan? Very amazing, that’s how much. Otherwise, nicely done Riverhead Pizza Hut staff. The Manager must be proud of you. Thank you.

As far as fast food goes it was good. My only complaint was the rug area needed to be vacuumed and the tile floor could have used a mopping. The staff was polite and attentive.

Not the pizza Hut I remember :(Salad bar has ONLY lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, chickpeas and croutons… that’s it! And you only get to go up once for $ 3. The pizza was flavorless even with stuffed crust w/​buttery garlic… just blah! and the garlic bread was a waste of $ 4. The waitress (karen?) Was good and very busy taking care of the tables all by herself. Domino’s must be better?

Don’t come looking for much here. Poor service and greatly undercooked pizza. Safe yourself a trip and order online from another pizza place.

My husband and I stopped in with my 23 month old daughter since it was close by and pizza is one of those things she’ll always eat. We expected it to be just like it was when we were growing up in the nineties, good inexpensive pizza in a nice family friendly environment. This place definitely delivered, It was just what we expected with slower than expected service which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I will note however that we stopped in around 4:30 and there was only one amazing waitress doing everything at the front of the house. The restaurant only had one other family seated when we arrived but after we sat down there was a little rush. This waitress did all she could to make sure we were happy and the pizza was super delicious as expected. If they would give this poor girl some help I might have given them 5 stars. It’s one of the few stand alone Pizza Hut Dine in restaurants left and if they can speed up the service I think they’ll stay alive.

So keeping in mind that this is a PIZZA HUT, it is just that — a PIZZA HUT…
The Menu is no different than any other PIZZA HUT. The Food tastes the same as any other PIZZA HUT. You will get your Pizza in a somewhat timely fashion. If the Pizza Pasta Bar is running (hours vary) it is just so-​so because the food stays out too long, the Salad Bar — same as any other PIZZA HUT but well kept by the staff. As usual for ALL Pizza Huts, they get a little dusty but nothing that couldn’t be fixed in an hour or two…
I’d rather see Coke products instead of Pepsi…
So why 4 Stars? The staff are SAINTS — This place is crawling with little kids in the late afternoon /​early evening, and the waitstaff keep them under some form of control and then have to clean the train wreck up after they clear out for beddy-​bye time.
The music they blast leaves a lot to be desired — sometimes 80’s 1-​hit-​wonders, sometimes the Spanish station…
Bottom Line — Food and Bev CONTINUITY at a low price.

I grew up on Pizza Hut. They used to let kids eat free Tuesdays (not sure if that ever still happens), so I ate here probably twice a month as a child. I love the butter garlic breadsticks and the pan pizza pie you can only get at a real Pizza Hut. This place hasn’t changed, which in some ways is not a good thing. The carpets in this place stink, some of the booths are uncomfortable, and I can’t help but feel like everything is sticky. This place should probably get one or two stars, but because I crave the food so damn bad I settled on three.

Service is a bit slow.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Oh, and did I by chance happen to mention that it was terrible?
I’m not going to speak about the food because it’s a Pizza hut, the quality of food is that of any other chain pizza restaurant. It’s not as good as an authentic Italian pizza but it’s decent if you don’t have very high expectations.
My review is based solely on the poor wait staff. I would like to say, the waitress herself was a sweet heart, albit overworked. The best way for you to understand my experience is just for me to start from the beginning…
I got to the pizza hut and waited to be seated. There was no line, but since there was only one person tending to costumers it took a long time to be seated (she answered two phone calls before getting to me.) I was seated and waited about twenty minutes until she came over for my order. Luckily I wasn’t in a rush and I realized the one waitress have about 12 tables so I didn’t hold it against her. It took about thirty minutes for her to come back with my drink. Then another fifteen minutes until she came back (without my food) and said there was a paper jam in the kitchen and my order never went to the cook. About ten minutes later I received my cheese sticks, which were fine. About ten minutes after that I received a hand tossed, very thin pizza, when in actually I order a pan pizza. I complained to the waitress and she brought the manager over, I explained to him that I had asked for a pan pizza and he claimed they didn’t have the type of pizza I asked for in pan. I tried to explain to him that when I placed my order I wasn’t told they didn’t have it in pan and I would have ordered a different pizza rather than have thin crust. He then told me how good thin crust was and that it was less calories, as if that was going to make me like the pizza. After going around in circles I finally ordered a pan pepperoni cheese pizza and had him take the other one away. The new pizza was great and I was satisfied. When I got the bill I was charged for the original pizza (which was about $ 8 more than the new one). When I brought this to the managers attention he told me that since they made the pizza and lost money on it, it was only fair. We went around and round for five minutes until I flat out refused to pay in less he gave me a new bill having ONLY what I actually received on it. He rolled his eyes, printed out a new receipt and nearly threw it at me. I paid him, gave the waitress a 15% tip (because it really wasn’t her fault) and stormed out. I will not be returning to this pizza hut.

I had a lovely time here with my family after a long day in wine country. We spent a lot on wine and other goodies, so when it came to dinner, we wanted something filling and affordable.
We were served relatively quickly, and the staff was very accomodating of my toddler (that always adds a star to any of my reviews!).
We will definitely make stopping at this Pizza Hut a habit when we’re out East.

I always burn my jowls on the cheese, it’s just so delicious but so hot! I can’t keep my paws off it. Maybe cheese could be less hot???
I suggest you ask your friends and family what they want on the pizza so you all enjoy the pizza together.
The cups were very hard to hold and the booth was a bit cramped. I am much more comfortable on the floor.

We went in and were rudely told by a young guy at the front that he would seat us in a minute and then we waited about 10 minutes before we were even seated. We then waited another 15 to 20 minutes after sitting at a table without even being acknowledged once. A waitress was cleaning off tables right beside us and didn’t even offer to get us a drink. Nobody even told us that they would be with us at any point. We finally walked out without ever being served or acknowledged by any of the staff and went to another restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t even at full capacity and the staff was very inappropriate in the way we were handled. I was visiting from out of town and have never had such a rude and horrible experience at a Pizza Hut. We really like them usually but this was just ridiculous. A little common courtesy could have gone a long way.

Don’t know how this place is still around. Used to love the personal pan pizzas when I was about 8.
