Okay. Finally getting around to this. Accurate Autoworks in a nutshell. Don’t go! Poor workmanship/service, Accurate Autoworks does not stand behind their work and are tantamount to cheats and rip-offs. Want the painful details? Read on. Originally my friend and I were going to change the valve cover gaskets on my F150. However, we decided it would be best to have it done by a professional due to the amount of fuel injection apparatus in the way. I’d already purchased new valve cover gaskets. from Napa Auto Parts. Being new to the Woodcrest/Orangecrest area I began looking for a mechanic in the area to do the job on my F150. I had a good mechanic in Murrieta but decided to give the local talent a try. After checking out three mechanic shops in the area, I decided on Accurate Autoworks. Their mechanic, «Steve», seemed to be friendly and knowledgeable. Prior to beginning the job, I provided Steve with the gaskets I had purchased from Napa. The job was completed in one day and the estimate was $ 467 and included parts and labor. Three days later, one of the valve covers was leaking again. Gave Steve a call. He told me to bring the truck in and he’d take care of it. They had the truck for two days. I picked up the truck, and a few days later it was leaking again in the same spot. Called Steve again. This time all he had were excuses. «It’s the gasket’s fault,» «It’s the valve cover’s fault.» I stated to him simply that«You’re supposed to be a professional mechanic and recognize these potential problems and correct them or call me.» He then told me to go ahead and bring the truck by. I asked him«What did you do in the two days you had the truck while it was in for the warranty work?». He said he tightened a screw on the valve covers. I said«You had the truck for two days and all you did was tighten a screw?» He replied that he had other things to do. Okaaay, I’m not important. So I went two days without my daily driver so he could tighten a screw. Dropped the truck off for the third time on a Saturday after hours. Called in on Monday morning and the shop owner«Don» answers the phone. I asked him if he knew about the situation with the F150. Don said, «Yes, I do. My mechanic says you provided him with old, hard, dried, cracked, gaskets for your truck and since you provided the gaskets, the warranty does not apply and if you want us to fix the leak, you’re going to have to pay us again.» At that point I just had to laugh because now, it’s my fault they couldn’t do the job correctly. I was actually a bit relieved that I did not have to go back and deal with these guys anymore. What kind of moron uses old, hard, dried, cracked gaskets? Apparently at Accurate Autoworks they do. I personally inspected the gaskets before I gave them to Steve. They were soft, supple, premium, rubber gaskets from Napa. At no time did I ever tell Steve that he MUST use these gaskets. In fact, the estimate that I was given and paid for included parts AND labor. And I would think a professional mechanic would not use bad gaskets and would purchase new ones if the provided gaskets were bad since new gaskets had already been paid for. At no time prior to the job was I told there would be no warranty if he used the gaskets that I gave him. What you didn’t know Don is that I also own a late model Corvette and Yukon and had you done a good job you would have been MY mechanic. The F-150 also needs a new oil pan gasket. An even bigger job. Guess I’ll go back to my guy in Murrieta. It should have been a red flag for me when I first went to Accurate Autoworks and there wasn’t even one car in the shop being worked on. Hmmm? Enjoy the $ 467 Don hope it pays all your bills. Accurate Autoworks on Wood Rd. behind the Circle K… Buyer beware. Don’t go.

Accurate Autoworks, the customer service is really good. I had them working on my 1996 jeep Cherokee and I needed it done that day at 12:00 so my son could get to work, Jon there had not got to it but they set up a time for it to get done the next day at 10:00 and when he went to pick it up it was ready. my son even asked about a ipod hook up in his car and Jon took the time to take the stereo out of the car and see what the problem was even tho Jon was off the clock. Accurate Autoworks will have my business when ever I need anything done.
