Funerals are for the living to grieve and pay our farewells to loved one… the disrespect that a staff member inititated was uncalled for. Yes, «you should respect the dead», but living clients deserve respect also… staff need to know how to address all different types of situations with dignity and in an ethical manner… last night we were treated in the most disrespectful way.

Ruth & her family took good care of us during the absolute worst time in our family’s life. Every detail of our son’s funeral was handled with such compassion and understanding. I would highly recommend them for anyone that needs this type of service and I hope I never ever have the need again.

We called a few places to find out prices for the services we needed… They were very professional and there words where heartfelt… So we went to one other place and that place was unprofessional and to make it worse it smelled… I still have that smell in my thoughts… Totally nasty… When we went to Akes to finalize our services Sharnell was so professional and that was so helpful for us… So with that being said I will definitely recommend them to others… Thank you…

Went here for a funeral. The inside was somber and quiet. There was soothing, instrumental music playing and it smelled clean, not like. well, death or something. There is a sitting area when you first walk in and the viewing area is off to the left. There are rows of wood pews to sit in while viewing the casket and flowers that are all up front. There were plenty of tissues to soak up the tears as well. Hope I don’t need to come here again too soon.
