Ace is the place! For the helpful hardware man and woman. Do you want to buy one or two screws? Go straight to university avenue on most nights. Jk. Unlike the notorious big box stores, you know the ones, Lowe[red] Standards and Home Dipstick? Well, you not only get greeted almost immediately, the employee will always take you straight to the section required and assist you in the old fashioned way. This has always been the case in the eight years that I have shopped here for random fasteners (thanks Ikea, you lame o’s), keys made at checkout and don’t let the façade fool you, this place is huge and carries an incredible array of tools and home repair items for fair prices.
All-​in-​all, I cannot say enough good things about this independent hardware store. Ample parking and quick service ensure rapid efficient visits every time.

a few days ago i went there for my work and got 5 cans of spray paint 4 of them were good but one of them was defective, i had been there many times for my work, i just wanted to get a new one, very simple, to my dismay the manager a small little man with dark hair and a thick black mustace looked at me and said this can is empty, now i told him i tried to use it but it was nowhere near empty, he tossed it on the counter and turned his back on me! i did not like the rudeness of him all but accusing me of trying to do something dishonest. its this kind of person that makes everyone in that place look very bad!!, i guess its ok and there all nice as long as im spending lots of money in there, but try to just get what you already paid for and look out!!! i will never go back there and im going to tell everyone i know to do the same

I am regular customer of Bauman’s ACE at 3199 Kansas. People there have been very helpful and knowledgable of hardware. One of its associate named Abraham Meza has helped me many times. Abraham knows so much about hardware and its repairing. I told him what I needed to fix, and he just showed me what parts I needed and explained to me the steps to fix it. When I need to fix something, I always visit this store first and see if I can get some tips from Abraham to fix it myself.
I highly recommend this store. Thank you Abraham Meza!

I’m so glad I found this store. I LOVE it. No need for me to go to Home Depot anymore. The prices can’t be beat. The customer service is top notch. When I go I get help from Abraham who is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I could spend the day in their shopping (and I hate shopping) they have a very diverse choice of stock. Interesting sometimes lol. I saved them in my contact list because I am directionally challenged and can’t find my way.

Sucks being in another city when your stuff breaks down, wears down or shuts down.
THE SETUP
I needed to find a lithium battery and I was thankful there was a store close by that had the battery type I needed for my classic watch.
I also got my zippo lighter refilled while I was here. Killed two birds with one-​electric-​shock. ;^)

Super handy, friendly service, lots of people on the floor to help, and they’ll order stuff from their catalog for you. If you think some item might exist (because it makes sense) they’ll help you find it. They’ll also tell you who else might carry stuff.

Always have what I needed, prices are decent and the assistance with finding the «right» thing for your project is their speciality. They offer a personal approach that the larger chain stores don’t provide.

Always have loved this place but was disappointed today when I found out the do not participate in the ACE Rewards program. Not that it is a deal breaker but … seems like a rewrds program should be at ALL stores… I mean Really???

They do great work on custom screens, and know where to send you amidst the maze of builders’ supply houses in Riverside (most within a 4 – 5 block radius) for items they don’t have.
