Updated review. Tried their Tuesday special, cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Total cost less than $ 15 inc tax. The pepperoni did not have a huge amount of topping, like their house special but I guess with just one topping… This guy makes pizza faster than anyone I recall except for 7 – 11 which is microwaved/baked. Still needs more sauce. Both pizzas were I assume a NY crust. Both were good for the type topping on them. Interestingly with just cheese or cheese and pepperoni, the herb flavor comes out. Very nice herbal, Basil or oregano? plus others? I move them up to a 3 star. If they used more sauce I think they could be excellent, especially with the huge load of topping on their premium pizzas.

We order the Supreme Pizza regularly for delivery. They are quick, and the food is reliably great.

Decent pizza, fast service, really good sandwiches and pasta. We’ve been ordering from here through grubhub for a bit over 1.5 years and we have no complaints.

I regretted not reading the reviews before trying it out this place. I hate to say it but it was probably the worst pizza place I’ve ever been too. The establishment is a bit dirty, but we still ordered anyways. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Philly cheesesteak. There was definitely something wrong with the cheese, either it was super cheap cheese or even expired cheese. My boyfriend who basically loves all things pizza couldn’t eat after the 1st slice. And the Philly cheese steak was just sad. It was huge, but I don’t know what kinda of meat they put in there but it definitely was not steak, it almost was like a flank meat pizza topping. so it was basically a sandwich with a pizza meat topping in it, mystery sauce, and bad cheese. I hate to do this because the customer service we received was awesome, but the food spoke for itself.

I just ordered from GrubHub, I should have looked at the Unilocal reviews before ordering, I just wasted $ 23.00. I ordered a few things for the office and we just threw it all away(yes we taste tested). The mozzarella cheese sticks were over done with minimal cheese and the cheese that was on their, stuck to the container and had hardened. The wings had no sauce and full of slimy skin. The anti-pasta salad had green looking tomatoes on it and moldy green lettuce they tried to cover up with salami. I do not recommend this place save your money I rather starve than get sick. I hate to do this by I feel it’s necessary. This place gave me food poisoning. I ordered the lasagna, stuffed mushrooms, and cheese sticks. The lasagna was good. The cheese sticks were mostly stick and not much cheese. Pretty sure they were the frozen kind. The mushrooms were ehh. Idk which of the 3 did it, but something did. It was the only food I ate all day. I was woken up from the worst stomach cramping I’ve ever had in my life. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The name of this establishment is a disgrace to a New yorker like myself, It should just be Dave’s Pizza.PERIOD. Fist of all i really feel bad because is near the university, which is mistly Asian, perhaps most of them have never had a chance to visit my hometown and have some truly, Authentic new york pizza, This ginormeous chunk of dough, not done, does not mean that bigger is better, Sure they have the right equipment(oven), but that is about the only thing that was right with this pizza, nothing is right, the cheap ingredients, cheese, dough, the way it was made. ANDMOSTLYTHECUSTOMERSERVICEWASHORRIBLE, the guy was not friendly at all, sort of arrogant, my wife wanted with veggies, how ridiculous to charge. .50 cents extra per veggie, What a rip off, i can see uf she wanted like peperoni, or sausage, mushrooms, but common, by the time she gets the slice she wanted was going to be like 5 – 6 dollars per slice, being that a slice is already $ 2.99 each plain. No Napkins, the tables were filthy, they all looked like they used them to roll fhe dough and forgot to clean them up for the customers, and the soda dispenserfor the diet pepsi tasted, disgusting, It is sad, and i wonder if the owner is even from New york, i seriously doubt it. Waste of money, i think even costco pizza would if been better, Its a disgrace to New york. And by the way i just came back from New york about a month ago, check out one of my reviews, there was a pizza place off 23rd st in Manhattan fir .99cents a slice, we went there for 3 consecutive days, even before we left for J.f.k to come back.

Garbage customer service. Today I walked in trying to see if I could buy crushed pepper and cheese to avoid going to the grocery store. In a demeaning manner, the high school cashier replies«that’s just a strange thing to ask». There were several huge boxes of pepper and cheese packets right in front of me, and they denied selling or giving me any even after sending her to the manager. What’s worse is the pizza isn’t even good, I had it a long time ago and it was way too greasy. I would have considered ordering for big future big events, but that’s definitely not happening anymore. With a major school less than a mile away, I’d expect them to be doing way better, and as a successful business owner myself, I can say it’s clear why they have the ratings that they do.

So disappointed! I ordered my food through grub hub not only for them to deliver my order 75% wrong but when I called grub hub and told them what happened, and they assured me the restaurant would take care of it. This restaurant sent me burned wings. No joke. Burned. They must have a lot of business to not care what food they provide to their customers. I will never order from this place again. Only positive was the delivery guy was nice.

We received the pizza right out of the oven when we stopped by to pick it up. For $ 1.75 per extra topping, they were not shy to pack it on. Despite what other reviewers have said the pizza was not greasy which is a sign of real cheese. The taste was nothing special but over all a decent pizza. Service wise, we called ahead about 15 minutes and the pizza was ready almost by the time we arrived. The man who took our order was good natured in the way that he took our order exactly even though we were kind of confusing on the phone. One thing though, if you check in on Unilocal you get a free drink which I guess the workers were completely unaware of. Wouldn’t go back again, but I don’t see the point in bashing this restaurant.

I ordered a steak and mushroom sub through eat24. I didn’t care about how much time it took. I just wanted some food and didn’t want to leave the house. I ordered a steak and mushroom sub, and they sent me a mushroom and cheese sub. I called the guy and asked where is the steak on my sandwich and he yelled at me and said we measure out 4oz of steak for every sandwich!

First time trying this place and I must say I have never seen a «slice» of pizza so big(for $ 3). This place is okay at most. Cheese tasted«fake». Garlic bread, price, and customer service were all excellent. The pizza and sitting space were okay.

So i walk up to the register & the man(who i hope is not the owner) is talking on his phone completely ignoring the fact that we(the paying customers) were standing right in front of him… not a great first impression. So i cant give him a great rating because i believe these rating should be including the service provided as well. The food comes out & it actually was very tasteful. The sauce had nice favor, the cheese was melting all over the place like it should, and the cheesecake was delicious. The food was great but i dont know about the whole«New York» in the name. NY pie has a very thin crust while this one had a very thick spongey crust. So again, generally good pie as far as California pie goes but definately not NYC pizza.

I have eaten here a number of times, and called in pizza orders too. The pizza is very good, if a bit greasy when you order peperoni. However, the light tomato sauce is flavorful. I also like the lasagna here. It is hearty, hot, and plentiful. Today I stopped by to order two slices for $ 2.99 each and when they rolled out the first piece I thought they did a large slice equivalent to two. It was very hot from the oven. Then, to my astonishment, the guy brought me the second slice! Wow! So full, so happy. Order one slice unless you are really super mega hungry. Hours later I am still full. Dave’s does it right. I am curious to try their sandwiches and subs next time.

I’m a pretty picky NY style pizza lover and this is the best place I have found in the IE *if* you ask for the right pizza. I have tried the normal pizza and found it OK, but too thick crust compared to typical NY, not quite enough sauce, and overcooked slightly. So I have learned that asking for thin crust, *slightly* more sauce(they have overdone that before), and undercooked produces a really good NY style pizza. If it is not cooked enough, I can finish it at home and have it cooked as I like, but it is usually just fine if asked this way. It freezes and reheats very nicely BTW. Great prices on wed and sun for large pepperoni($ 6.99) or cheese only on tue for $ 5.99. They give you coupons with other great deals. Any more grease than others? I don’t think so at all. I think ingredients are good enough and a taste better than any other place in IE that I have found. Just have to order it the way you like I think. All cheese has plenty of it. And they don’t skimp on the cheese, it’s just right amount IMO. I’d give it a 5 star rating if the pizza is done the way I like it as a default. But they can put your prefs in your profile which they keep with your phone # and address if you use delivery(I don’t).

Just like every Wednesday, my roomies and I got New York Pizza for dinner, mmm delicious! Pizza, in general, is always a little greasy, from the butterfat found in all cheese, as well as the addition of meat toppings… Anyway, the comments about it being greasy are way, way over exaggerated. A good way to test if something is overly greasy is to hold it vertically and wait 10 seconds; if there is a drip within this time, then you could honestly say that something is too greasy — this has never happened, and I’ve ordered from here once a week for the past month, having that said… Everyone is entitled to their own opinion :-)

It would have been nice if they had cheese slices available since I was supremely hungry when I walked in. I can’t complain too much about freshly made pizza though. The pizza doesn’t look that legit from the pictures… but when you use«new york» to describe your pizza I will come a knockin’. I understand the allure of the place. They sell cheap pizza to college kids who probably don’t have a lot of money spend on food. It may seem like a good option on the weekends when you may have run out of meals on your meal plan. I paid $ 3.66 for 2 cheese slices and a small Coca-Cola. The Coke is what they earn their lone star for by the way. The bread, sauce, and cheese are NOTHING like new york. In fact, it has more in common with SoCal than it does anything else. Sad to say I won’t be coming back. Sadder yet if you even think about it. You lied to me…
