This place sucks! Ladies who took our order were rude, they served us stale chips, the carne asada burrito was all rice and no meat, the cheese enchiladas were bland, and the carne asada fries were disgusting. We couldn’t even take the left overs home to feed our dogs because they wouldn’t eat it either! The only good thing about this place is they make hand made tortillas, that’s it! Everything else sucks! Don’t go go there!

This is a five if you are rating on service alone. I cannot comment on all the food because we only ordered the Menudo. It is a little tight on the inside so I recommend eating outside in their patio area. The waiters and waitresses are constantly coming out to check to see if you are okay which is great. Although I love the service, I would rate the Menudo a two star. It really had no flavor even with a lot of lemon and salt. The juice itself, very watery. When you order it, you have to specify you want it with hominy in order to get it like that. The homemade tortillas though, were awesome! The service itself however is enough for me to try out the Menudo again, maybe it was a bad day. The other food smelled delicious though!

Taste wise, I think this is the best burrito in Riverside. It actually tastes authentic compared to the other Mexican restaurants around here. It takes awhile for them to cook up your order, but that’s reassuring. The place is a bit dingy(reason for not having 5stars) so I usually take out. I highly suggest their Lengua burrito.

I’ve had their alambre de asada & it’s the bomb… Prices are reasonable & so far everyone I’ve taken there likes the food enough to want to go back. I like their menudo made on weekends & can’t forget about the handmade tortillas.

After church, we found this authentic Mexican food place. If you’re ever off University at the 91 totally worth a stop. My son’s green chilaquiles were soooo very delish! I had a flor de calabaza(squash blossoms) quesadilla that was hands down the best one I’ve ever had(even better than the one I ate in Cuernavaca, MX). I also ordered a carne asada and adobada taco. The tortillas truly taste and are hecho a mano. Mom had the birria de res, barely tasted it cause I was devouring my food, but it smelled yum. Did I mention their agua de fresa was perfectly sweetened, also made in house and almost a tad gelatinous(which I). It was all very good and very fresh… wish it was in OC! Side note: sitting next to us was a couple that looked to be doing a food tasting for their wedding. I bet they cater(wink wink).

I ordered two asada tacos and one taco al pastor, they weren’t anything amazing and there wasn’t enough meat to fill up the tortilla. I also ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice and when I received my drink is was a bit warm, not exactly all that great. The food is definitely over priced, for a burrito, three tacos and two drinks we ended up paying over $ 30. They have to work on maintaining their store clean. I will not be returning.

The food is traditional from the region of Mexico city. I was excited and impressed to find pambazos !!! I guarantee you will find something you haven’t tried before. I highly recommend trying any of these traditional dishes, you can’t go wrong. I’m so happy to have found this spot! Be advised the juices are $ 5. –___– As for the service. we kept reminding our server for things. She never did get around to the salsa, napkins, or salt. I’m legit still waiting. Provecho!

The most delicious Mexican hole in wall restaurant in Riverside, that we have been craving for! They have guacamole and fresh juice. Do come but be sure to bring me every time !

This place sucks, food is not that good and you have to beg for service. Their napkins was dirty also. It had lipstick on it.

Five stars hands down super bomb authentic Mexican food that is incomparable to any Mexican food place I have been to. I’m Mexican myself and last time I had food like this was when I visit family back in Mexico 6 years ago. Do yourself a favor and just come here. Just, do it! Just do it!(Shia Labeuf voice)

Great authentic from scratch Mexican food, looks like a hole in the wall, but great tasting food. Moved to riverside and I was looking for a great hand made Mexican food and guess what I found it at this place.

Came here for breakfast with husband and sister. Ordered chilaquiles and an «ojo de agua» to share. We were told it was a combination of all the different fruit juices blended into a large cup. What we weren’t told, was the 6 tablespoons of sugar heaped into the drink: O The drink came out overly sweet for our taste, we probably would request less or no sugar added in the future. The meatless chilaquiles was good, albeit a little salty. Each plate came with a side of to over easy eggs. We were full through lunch, despite sharing our plates and drink.

Ever since I moved back to the IE, I find myself pining for the culinary diversity of Orange and LA county — just not the drive out. I’ve been on the hunt to find the best tacos in Riverside. So here I am, writing about my latest taco-journey. In one of my brilliant, most likely late-night, taco-revelations, I concluded that what makes a taco great is the combination of the perfect tortilla, meat, and sauce — Taco T.M.S. How does El Ojo de Agua rank in the taco TMS challenge? [Tortilla] — homemade and pressed just before serving. The tortilla is delicious. [Meat] — After having tried their asada, al pastor(pork), and birria(braised beef), I can only recommend their asada. [Sauce] — That red sauce they serve is out of this world. I asked to take the remaining sauce home b/c it wanted to have some more later with tortilla chips. It’s spicy to the moon-and-back but sooo delicious. Overall, great asada taco. I had to request some extra cilantro and onion b/c they are a bit shy on those, but the employee was kind enough to give us a whole plate. The area is a bit sketchy — definitely not located in the best part of Riverside. The restaurant is a bit run down with flies buzzing around and things not wiped down cleanly — but it’s a ‘hole in the wall’ place, which means that as long as their food is amazing, I am willing to overlook some of the other sub-par elements. For it being such a run down place, I was shocked to find each taco priced at $ 2.29. Sure, it’s not as small as some of the other street tacos I’ve had, but $ 2.29 adds up quick. Also, if you are dining in, just walk in and take a seat — someone will be there to take your order. It takes a while for your food to come out, so you have to be willing to wait. Lastly, they charge 50 cents to all debit/credit card transactions, so I would say to bring cash unless you don’t mind paying the extra fee. Not the best, but the taste of the tacos places this place pretty high up in the TMS challenge!

I come here at least once a month… The huaraches are to die for!!! The absolute best! Seating area and looks a bit run down but the ambience and service make up for it big time.

The ladies who work here always show their emotions… if they’re having a good day or bad day TRUSTMEYOU’LLNOTICE! I got there at 830pm knowing they close at 9pm. My order would’ve been simple. 3 tacos de asada. Instead, I walk in and the same grumpy ass short lady turns and yells«ya esta cerrado»(were closed) WTF

Wow! Maybe THEBEST Mexican Food I have ever eaten(outside my Grandma’s house!?) and that is saying a lot! Took my Mama here for a post-Mother’s Day lunch & it blew away our expectations! The Menudo is Amazing, Tacos are made w/Homemade Corn Tortillas & have a slice of Avocado(which makes them even more Sabroso!!) & waitress suggested a Huarache made of Chicharones and it was Mouth-Watering! I’m so glad I don’t live in Riverside because I’d eat here EVERY Day if I did & gain 20 lbs in a week! I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Great food! This place is not your typical Mexican restaurant. The food is very authentic and delicious. Most of the names of the food cannot even be pronounced by those who are from the IE. Don’t worry, they have pictures. Tlacoyos was the first thing I tried. It was awesome. It’s like a giant sope. Don’t be scared it’s good. Street Tacos are good and the tortillas are made fresh. Try them, but at $ 2.25 a piece, it’s pricy. I also tried The Pelangocha. It’s like a giant meat quesadilla sent straight from heaven. When ordering the meat you should probably stick with the carne. It’s good. If I was from Mexico I would be saying, «just like back home.» Please, don’t let the drug dealers and prostitutes walking the streets outside chase you away. Stop on in for a different kind of treat!
