Richard gave me my first haircut and has been doing my mom’s hair for over 25 years. Madeline had been doing my hair for the past few years; we’ve done everything from blonde highlights to black with purple and fuchsia. They are awesome people and great stylists.

Richard is an ARTIST. Great service and excellent prices. No one looks like coming out of a «cookie-​cutter» salon. A must place to go.

I’ve been here twice for men’s haircut, and I will continue to go here.
My mom was a board certified barber for a brief period of time, so I’d been spoiled with meticulous haircuts. I know what a good haircut entails, and the haircuts I received from Richard, the barber and owner, exceeds my standard and expectation. Richard pays very close attention to detail and adjusts to my specific wants. He checks your hair afterward and fixes even the smallest flaw to produce a perfect, symmetrical haircut.
Beside the haircut, Richard is very welcoming and interacts with his customers while maintaining professionalism. He is definitely not someone who rushes through your haircut just for your money. At the moment I sat on the chair, he offered me bottled water (again, close attention to detail). The list of details is quite lengthy.
The price for men’s haircut is $ 23, which is slightly higher than the average salon in Riverside but definitely not expensive. However, you will receive a quality haircut and a satisfying overall experience. For me, it was worth every penny.

I have been getting haircuts at Grand Concepts Salon for the past three years and I don’t plan to change that any time soon. The haircut and shampoo combo are very reasonably priced ($ 23), and have never been let down with the haircut. The salon is run and owned by a husband and wife duo, Madeline and Richard, who are very personable and professional. They are the best, I highly recommend this salon.

I highly recommend Grand Concept Salon. I’ve been going to Richard Villalobos for 20 years now, and have never been disappointed with my cut or color. He is a fabulous colorist. In fact, I often have women ask me who my hair dresser is so that they can use him. Whether I’m blond or trying out red, Richard always makes my color look natural and beautiful. He is the absolute BEST.
Grand Concept is a lovely quaint salon in downtown Riverside and the other stylists are warm, welcoming and gracious. Grand Concepts is truly an outstanding hair salon. Richard is by far the best hairstylist I have ever encountered. I have been a faithful client of his for 15+ years and have never left his shop with a color or haircut that wasn’t perfect. I am continually getting compliments on my hair especially the color and cut. Richard and his wife Madeline are true gems and I guarantee «no-​one» would leave Grand Concepts disappointed. Full attention is given to every client to ensure that the finished product is perfect. They definitely take pride in their work and it shows.

Richard, the owner of Grand Concepts, has been my one and only hair stylist for many years. Not only does he give wonderful haircuts, he is an excellent colorist. I get so many compliments on my hair color! On top of all that he his a really nice person and makes you feel very important while you are a client in his salon!
