OMG! I cannot believe I did not know this place existed sooner! They are fast, friendly, and the garbage burrito is my absolute favorite! Everything is fresh and hot! I had just enough time to enjoy my chips and salsa before my meal arrived. If you are looking for an affordable lunch on the fly then this is your place!

Food is good. The service is ok. I’d like to be checked on like the other guests. No refills. Dropped off check early to get us out. We ended up not getting ice cream, because we were rushed out. That’s bad for business. The manager is great. Phillip needs some work on his serving skills.

My oh my, I had THEBEST Chile Verde tonight, very tasty, the spices were well balanced, not overly ladened, nicely complementing the meat, sooo yummy. Our server was Alex, she was friendly and attentative, while giving efficient service. I’m going to be a regular here. Bravo!!!

We gave this place a 2nd shot and it disappointed again. Service was okay… but who serves pancake without syrup and disappears? I ordered a T-bone steak medium which is really hard to mess up, however, the quality of the meat was HORRIBLE. Very fatty, pale and lots of chewy areas. I ordered egg over medium and they were hardly cooked at all. Potatoes and toast were the best part of the last breakfast I have at this place. I really hope it gets better.

Hmm. I was pretty excited to try this place out due to recommendation from a Riverside local, but it was so underwhelming. The food wasn’t terrible, but everything felt lacking in flavor or moisture. My date ended up cracking his tooth on one of the tacos. So, that explains my poor review for this place. The vicinity was pretty empty when we got there, but it took forever for our order to be taken and our food to be served. The waitresses were all friendly, but trying to get their attention was impossible. Luckily what I believe was the owner was there to eagerly tend to our needs on occasion. She was very sweet, but I don’t think we will ever be back. The extra star is for the owner. She was a sweetheart, but this place was just so disappointing.

Been here about 3x in the past few month. Favorite local place to come for breakfast. All my girls love their child breakfast menu and I love the prices. Awesome customer service.

Just OK for me. It takes a lot to impress. The food was fresh and fast, just didn’t blow me away. Very friendly staff, clean place, hardworking. Breakfast is my favorite meal, so I am a bit harsh. Decent place, the crowd says it all.

My co-workers and I were kind of in a rush for a quick breakfast so we stopped by to get some breakfast burritos. One of the waitresses recommended getting a breakfast burrito with bacon and hashbrown added. Great advice. The consistency of bacon egg and hashbrown is pretty good. Hash browns also come out a bit crispy which adds to the texture. I definitely plan on coming back and dining in. While waiting for our food I saw the steak and eggs… holy jeez it looked amazing. Definitely has the Denny’s vibe but clearly for the old town/CBU folks and the locals in the area.

It was a very nice place to visit. The food made me think of eating breakfast at home in my mom’s kitchen. I tried a breakfast special;pancakes, eggs and hash brown. The pancakes where good. Eggs and hash brown I left on my plate, tried adding salt but it didn’t help. Maybe drown them in ketchup? They only have regular creamer for coffee so I passed and went with an OJ, it was good. The ambiance was friendly. Customer service was great. I would probably come back and try their lunch menu. It would be ok if I never have the breakfast again.

It’s your basic dinner. Nothing fancy. I got the pancake, bacon and hash browns… again, nothing fancy… it was under $ 10 so that was good. I will not go back again not because i had a bad experience, it just isn’t a place I would seek out. It seems like a place beloved by the locals which is always nice to see. I would recommend if you are looking for a local charming spot.

Chile Relleno– noun, plural chil·es rel·le·nos [ruh-yey-nohz, –nohs] –a green chili pepper stuffed with cheese or meat, dipped in batter, and fried. Lol. Thank You much Love and Respect to you and yours, Sincerely, Justin Trevor Munger and Lori Lennon % JMxxx PS: Gentrification has pushed out over a dozen of my personal friends Local V3NIC3 Beach Businesses this new year alone, they’ve been there between 33 and 46 years and have had to shut their doors permanently, family and independently owned Business’s are going extinct in my old school neighborhood, let’s not let this happen in Riverside — Porfavor, shop local and go green as much as you can ok, let’s support our freedoms and rights while we’ve got them !!! again Thank You !!!(RIP Michael Pope Taylor –Taylor Plumbing)

Our first visit on Valentines day the food was good. But today totally different story. We ordered menudo and albondigas both were way over cooked. Albondigas even tasted and smelled burnt.

Driven by this place so many times. My wife and I were going to try the coffee shop across the street but they were closed. So instead, we decided to get breakfast here. Wife ordered safe oatmeal, my waitress suggested the Green Chile Con Carne Huevos Rancheros. This comes with a choice of tortillas and a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. We were served chips and salsa while we waited. Generous chunks of tender pork served on top of the eggs and green chili sauce. Unbelievable. Full flavor and spicy enough for this white guy. Standard flavor on the rice and beans. Chips were very fresh and the salsa was very good. I usually like my salsa a little«busy» where you can see a variety of ingredients. Not a criticism, still very good. Service was great so bring plenty to tip with. We were encouraged to take our time and didn’t feel rushed. We left anyway since the Sunday crowd was starting to fill up the place. Definitely going back.

Went in on Sunday after church. My daughter raves about this place and for good reason! My hubby had huevos rancheros and he was in heaven! I had the country breakfast and it was fabulous! This little place is a gem and a definite must if your in riverside! Great service too was just an added bonus! Everyone is nice and polite and treat you like your the only one in the place and by no means was this place empty! I’ll definitely be back!

It’s solid, it’s affordable, and it’s pretty good. Can’t go wrong with Little Green Onion. Considering I was born and raised in Riverside, I can vouch for a place like this where if you want legit portions at good prices, nothing fusion, nothing fancy, just plain, simple, good breakfast, than look no further. Little Green Onion has a bit of a Mexican ambiance to it, although most of the ladys that work there are not Mexican. Parking is easy to find, either along the streets or in the parking lot right next to it. TIP: Keep an eye out for some of their specials. It’s pretty cool to see what the highlights off the menu are or what might be off menu. The breakfast burrito, however, is NOT the highlight of this place. Now I say BREAKFAST burrito. It costs extra to add potato inside the burrito. It’s nothing fancy, very basic but still fairly good. As long as you receive the salsa along with it, you’re in good hands. You’ll see Little Green Onion pop up a few times while you’re in Riverside. There are some other worthy breakfast spots but if you want to save a few bucks and don’t feel like cooking, this is the place to visit.

Tried this place for breakfast last Sunday after hearing good things from multiple people. It was yummy, but there were a few downfalls. My husband ordered an omelet and it was more like omelet filling with a scrambled egg laid on top. He said it was good, but nothing to order again. I ordered a typical breakfast meal with pancakes, and oh man the pancakes were GOOD! I would definitely recommend ordering those. Service was a little slow, but we were in no big hurry. Would like to go back and try lunch or dinner some time.

While I have been here a few times over the years I like that it’s a family owned place, but my impression that they are good but not great was reaffirmed on a recent breakfast run. My omlette and guacamole were pretty good, but the home style potatoes were a bit on the cold side and ever so slightly undercooked. As for the toast? So cold and dry the butter didn’t melt or spread. Unacceptable. I used to be a line cook during undergrad at a popular and jumping place with a similar menu sans the Mexican offerings, and I can tell you that whoever was cooking that day has no proper training or sense of when to fire items so they appear at the same time and of the proper temperature. This is the fault of the cook(s), not the server. Anyhow, it’s never been on my beaten path and while a popular place, it failed to impress me enough to return any time soon.
