Our first time here and the soup was delicious. The kids had waffles and they loved it. We would definitely come back.

Yummy hotpot locally. So happy to have found this place. Adorable and sweet staff. The place closes between lunch n dinner but they’re open 5pm to 12:30am! Get packed late at night. 2nd time here. I like the house and the spice pot

Very delicious! Piggy Pot has some of the nicest staff around; our waitress was very kind and accommodating. The food is great and there are many choices for you to make your hot pot unique to your tastes! I love how helpful the staff were. The music they play is great and not too low or not too high in volume. Overall décor is cute and very true to their Piggy Pot theme, and the restaurant is kept super clean. Lots of veggies and meat, and if you want more of a certain item you can always add!(I love adding udon noodles to my pot!) They can adjust the spice level and have a wonderful selection of different add-ons. Even without adding anything, there’s more than enough food in their pots. I always leave feeling happy & full! Recommend this place to anyone who wants some really delicious soup bases, too * ^*)/

Pretty mediocre the hot pot was not that good overall if you consider the area. In the fact that there are many other hot pot places nearby the pricing was high and the amount of food was less than what I was actually expecting. Our potstickers were served under cooked and when we return them they were basically just reheated and replace the one that was bitten. They did have free Wi-Fi available much the only upside to it.

Parking was kind of hard to find, had to figure out how to get to that back parking lot– we never really did figure it out– went through the exit lol. For the price– I was honestly sad at how small the pots were, it honestly didn’t fill me up that much, small quantity. The service was all right, they came and got your order and drinks but once that was done they didn’t really come back again unless you flagged them down. Only came to this place because we were craving hotpot and it was the only one that was somewhat close to us, but I wouldn’t really recommend it, go a little further for better hotpot.

I skipped dinner one day working late and got hungry pretty late. Looking for a midnight snack, I walked down University Avenue towards UCR. TenRen closed it’s kitchen before I got there, but right nearby, Piggy Pot was brightly lit and inviting. Going in knowing it was a hot pot place, I scanned the snacks part of the menu and the ‘Instant Ramen with Egg’ caught my eye. It was something hot, quick, somewhat light, and would satisfy my hunger. For a drink, I asked for a milk tea with half the sugar. The drink came first, and since it wasn’t a boba tea house, I didn’t expect much, but it was solid and not too sweet as promised. Now onto the ramen. Long story short, it reminded me a lot of the ramen I’d cook up at home when lounging around the house. The right amount of seasoning, a kick of spice, probably all from the instant noodles themselves, but it definitely hit the spot. Also, the workers were friendly and helpful. I received a ‘Grand Opening Offer’ flyer with great deals, and I plan on coming back. Check this place out!

Pretty good food, healthy and fair priced. Quick service and the employees are nice. Open late and good for dinner. Overall great place, aesthetic/atmosphere could’ve been a bit better, but worth a visit.

I had the lamb thou and it’s a bit chewy. The Potted plant milk tea was cute and it taste good too. Maybe next time i’ll the the waffles and desserts.

Went in for my second time today with my boyfriend since Ten Ren’s seems to always change their last call time… It was pretty empty but that wasn’t a problem. I ordered the garlic hot pot and my BF ordered the house hot pot. We also got the black tea since its BOGO right now. Mmm, the hot pots were pretty good, soup base, vegetables, meat, and other things included. The portion wasn’t bad and it was filling. The service was beyond excellent!!! & things came out on time. I really enjoyed my time eating there. I’ll definitely be back more and more to try the other hot pots and get their BOGO teas while it lasts!

If your looking for a healthy alternative to fast food… This is your place. The food is fresh and with nothing but real food in it, not all that crap that keeps things on the shelf or under lamps forever. You can go wrong with just about anything here so I won’t comment on one, but rather they are all great. The staff is helpful and will take the time to explain. Have a fun and go hungry.

I am so happy about this place! I love hot pot! And now it’s only 15 minutes from my house! I had the garlic based soup. And it was really good. The meat was plentiful and tasty! The only thing I would add would be more veggies and a couple of different dipping sauces. My husband tried the kimchi based soup. And his soup was really tasty too! I would totally get it next time! They even have desserts! We tried a Nutella with banana waffle. It was delicious! There was no wait. Maybe because it’s summer break. But this will definitely be my go to spot for hot pot in the inland empire!

Went here on a date looking for a place to satisfy our hot pot cravings. She ordered the garlic flavor and I got the spicy miso(extra spicy cause I’m a man). It was a good thing I had low expectations cause they definitely met them. The soup was lacking flavor and the meat portion was scarce. But I guess I’m spoiled from eating hot pot in Rowland Heights cause she said it was good. Probably won’t come here ever again since I graduated but overall it was a chill meal.

This is one of the closest hot places near UCR and it helps with my craving when I’m away from home. I’ve tried the miso soup base and garlic soup base. Both are pretty okay. It’s not the best hotpot I’ve ever had. It does taste a bit salty. I’d recommend your side be a bowl of rice. The portion is a bit smaller than most hot pot places. But it will fill you up when you finish. With a check in from Unilocal or Facebook you can get a free green or black tea drink. Also if you are concerned about the level of spice, it’s not as intense as that of boiling point. I can’t handle mild at Boiling point but I can eat the medium spice here at piggy pot. The only variation of each hot pot is the soup base. They told me that each pot usually has the same ingredients with a few different things according to the broth type. The amount of vegetables in the hotpot isn’t that much. I wish they’d add more vegetables or meat. The people working are really nice. This place has been relatively empty whenever I go so if you’re worried about waiting, there’s no wait. I still prefer boiling point over this but It’s good enough to crave my cravings!

I HONESTLY wanted to like this place, I really do, but I didn’t, sadly. I was really excited to try this hot place because of the name«PIGGYPOT» and it’s a whole restaurant dedicated to Hot Pot(unlike others who do Hot Pot on the side). The place is nice and simple with pink & beige coloring, and cute pig decorations around the restaurant. I came in on a Tuesday around 4PM, and it was empty, well besides that one table in the corner. My friend and I just missed the lunch special that ended at 3PM. It was fine, it’s only a dollar more for dinner. We ordered a Spicy Hot Pot(spicy) and a Garlic Hot Pot(Medium). It took a while for our food to come out, but it was fine, I let that go. When we finally got it, it look so little, I was really surprise. Maybe it was quality ingredients over quantity, it wasn’t. The flavor of the soup was so tasteless… my friend and I had to mix both our soup flavors together in order for it taste right. Not only that, the RICE was so hard! It felt like I was eating rice from a box, very disappointed. T_T Customer service was just as bad too. When we order the food, the waiter was giving us attitude when we asked some questions of the soup base. I’m sorry I’m taking your precious time away from your laptop. Also he never checked backed on us after he gave us our food. The only time he came back was to refill our water and give us the check… Sighhh. Don’t think I would come back any time soon. **On the plus side, they do have a stamp card. Buy 10, get one hot pot free.

I LOVE this place! The personal hotpots are really good! You can pick from a variety of soup bases(curry, garlic, plain, miso, kimchi, etc), proteins(lamb, beef, seafood, etc), spicy level and it even comes with a side of rice or glass noodle! All this for $ 11.99, what a steal! They also give you a side of satay sauce for dipping! If you check in on Unilocal you also get a free milk tea, which was actually SUPER tasty! My brother tried the«pot plant milk tea»? which comes in a very sturdy/durable plastic cup(that I’m sure you can use as a regular cup at home) and it looks like a potted plant because they put oreo crumbles in there to look like dirt and a mint leaf on top to look like a plant! So cute and delicious! At the end of the meal, the owner gave us a free waffle with banana and caramel drizzle on top. The waffle was SOOOGOOD! The quality and quantity is comparable to Boiling Point but Piggy Pot is EVENBETTER because you have more options to customize your hotpot! It’s very well maintained, clean, well lit and the décor is very CUTE! The staff is super friendly and sociable! There’s a stamp program where you can claim a free hotpot after 10 stamps! I’m sold on this place, totally going to come again!

Was hanging in the Riverside area with a couple of co workers and we decided to try out this hot pot place. Found it on Unilocal because we were in a plaza nearby. We walked in through the front entrance instead of the back even though there was a flittering and sparkling«open» sign. Oops. We walked in and were immediately seated. We chose anywhere we wanted because the restaurant was COMPLETELYEMPTY. you could hear crickets. Really. This always puts me off because I enjoy the bustle and background noise of conversation. It was just around dinner time too. But I found out that the restaurant had just opened and was probably still gaining its footing. The menu is really simple. You order a base soup(garlic, satay, veggie…) that comes with the usual hot pot stuff(mushrooms, tofu, carrots, napa cabbage, etc) and then choose a meat. They have three options: beef, pork, and lamb. Then you choose how spicy you want the broth, and you choose if you want glass noodles or rice. I ordered the satay base, mild, with extra soft tofu and napa cabbage. I also got milk tea with pudding. The server let me know that they use real milk instead of syrup so the milk tea would probably be less sweet. He offered to adjust it to my taste. That was nice. My drink came out first. Taking a sip definitely brought me back to Taiwan! It wasn’t syrupy and over powerfully sweet. It was just right. And icy cold with delicious pudding! Also, I must mention that this restaurant has awesomely durable«size large» cups. They weren’t made out of that flimsy plastic. Pretty cool. Cups were pink, too. I’m all about aesthetics man. Anyway we got some dipping sauce before the food came out. Tasted good! Soy saucy but garlicky and still spicy and sweet somehow. Then finally the food came! It arrived in individual pots and the waitress lit a fire underneath our food. My cabbage and tofu came out soon after. I dumped everything in and dug in! The soup was hot and flavorful. I definitely made the right choice in getting the satay, I think. There was plenty of food in my bowl. I could barely finish it. I gave a lot of my food to my hungry co worker. The napa cabbage was my favorite, as it had absorbed a lot of the soup flavor. Also the pork was amazing – tender and flavorful and not too fatty. Also was a huge portion(to me anyway). After a while my friend got thirsty and ordered a lychee mojito from the drink menu. It was delicious! Bubbly, light, and sweet. Perfect for a summer day in riverside. The bill came out to around 17 for me since I got a drink and some add ons. I felt satisfactorily full and I had lots of milk tea left on the way home. The food tasted fresh, the portions were sized well, and the drinks were pretty amazing. I had a wonderful experience here and if I’m in the area, I’ll surely return. This place needs some love, Unilocalers!

This place is so good! I’m not a fan of Boiling Point or Life Café’s hot pots but when I’m craving it, I’ll go to Ten Ren’s out of desperation so I’m super happy this place opened! I came here the first week it opened when it was cash only and I went back twice the next week! It’s so good and it’s pretty filling. For the size of the pot, there is a good amount of meat to everything else, ratio. I would definitely recommend the Satay Hot Pot and Curry Hot Pot! Satay tastes like the usual Satay dipping sauce and the curry tastes like they put a brick on japanese curry into the soup! SOOOGOOD! If you like spicy, you should get the extra spicy one because medium, for me, had no spice at all. The only thing that would give it a possible 4.75, instead of the 5 I gave, is that the ingredients changed slightly. I don’t really like bok choy and the second time I went, I only had that for my vegetables and not the usual napa cabbage people put in hot pots and the previous pots I had here. That’s just me being picky! I do wish they had brown rice but since they don’t I always get glass noodles.
