Wandas is a great café to eat at while you’re at school. I would give this café 5-stars, but sometimes the wait could be long and sometimes if you order more than one item off of their menu, they’ll sometimes forget one of your orders. Other than that, their food is so good!

I have yet to go in here and have them get my order right. I ordered a sated caramel blend and they had to ask like four different people how to do it. Don’t advertise a new product when your employees don’t know how to make it! That’s an error on a management level. They make good drinks but maybe the baristas should pay more attention to the tickets they get and what drinks to make. Along with the cashiers taking the orders.

Their food is generally pretty good, it’s quick and easy. I’ve tried some of the Mexican options, the grilled cheese, and the caprese flatbread. While the portions on the grilled cheese and flatbread are small, the Mexican food has pretty large portions. The grilled cheese is delicious and greasy. The coffee, on the other hand, is gross. I’ve had everything from and American to a mocha. The Americans was so bitter and it tasted burnt, or almost like they had reused the ground from the previous shot they had made. Just terrible. The other flavored drinks I’ve had are subpar as well. They are almost as over-sweetened at Dutch bros. and the actual coffee is just not appealing. So good for food, quick, good customer service. Skip the coffee.

I’m a fan of Wanda’s. When you’re in between classes or just getting out of class for the day/night Wanda’s is a great place to stop. I’ve always had good service, and the food is served in a fast manner. Mind you that at times when it gets very busy, you could wait up to 20 minutes and that may be problematic is you only have a 10 minute break in between classes. I’ve been late back to class a couple times because I was stuck waiting at Wanda’s for my food after my first class. So keep that in mind if you see that its busy and you’re heading to your next class. Maybe don’t order anything that needs to be cooked/prepared and go for an apple, bag of Chios, or muffin instead. There is some seating in Wanda’s, but not a whole lot of room. And personally I prefer to grab it and sit outside at a table and do some studying. Wanda’s food is always fresh and my favorite is the veggie sandwich. Prices are decent for what you get.

I’m a mom by day and a CBU student by night. I enjoy stopping in before classes for a drink or quick bite to eat. They have a healthy menu with plenty of options or you could go traditional with burgers and fries etc. I recently tried the veggie flatbread which was awesome! The service is always great as well.

An absolute culinary gem! I have to say that CBU students are really lucky to have a place like this on campus! They have daily specials and the food is absolutely delicious! The fries are totally HEAVEN! O_O

Located on the CBU campus, Wanda’s is a decently priced place to eat. The breakfast burritos are around $ 3 and VERY filling. They also have daily lunch specials(my fav are Thurs when they serve vegetarian tostadas). I especially like how their coffee area has a variety of creamers. It may not be visible at first, but they have different flavored creamers(a chocolate flavor, french vanilla, amaretto) below the counter. They also have a microwave in a corner if you need to warm up food if you brought from home as well as plastic utensils if you forgot to bring them from home: P

Despite the thousands of people working in the back and sometimes the food takes a while(depends on what time you go: anytime from 7PM-8PM is a disaster)… they have DELICIOUS coffee and can make basically anything that Starbucks has, except it’s better. The espresso is so much better and I don’t know what the difference is(I used to work here, but I can’t remember). This is an add-on the California Baptist University but there are a lot of times that people with their friends from other colleges come in and get the CBU experience. One of the best things you could order is the CBU Bowl: aka: the KFC Bowl from KFC. Mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken, corn, all topped with cheese. It’s a special that comes once a week(I believe it’s Tuesday, now) You can also NEVER go wrong with the soups. Seriously, the chef making these bad boys KNOWS what he’s doing, it’s all homemade and there’s usually always vegetable if you don’t want to go with an occasional mix-up. They also have a bakery which isn’t that amazing. However, they do have really amazing homemade Rice Crispies and brownies. So go out and indulge! Take your kids to see the school and treat yourself! Or, just treat yourself! ;)
