This is a very hard review for me to write because my boyfriend and I patronize them often simply because we prefer their fries over anyone in that area. The reason why I am giving 3 stars is because of the service and the price. There are a fee chicks that work there who rush you through the ordering process in the drive through. One day I ordered chili fries and a cheeseburger I was charger $ 18 and it tripped me out. Not really a fan of the area either.

Their burgers are good and I heard they are known for their gyros. Although, the burger was decent, their burgers get soggy very fast, and the avocado isn’t so fresh. but overall, good.

Love the zucchini. Nice staff. Air conditioning was great. Prices could be a little lower. We will return.

The girl with blonde and pink hair does a tremendous job. Other workers are great too but she stood out. The cooks do a great job but the one tonight is the best. Have yet to be disappointed I’m this restaurant and make them my Monday night choice just keep those hard workers :)

The one star is based on my last visit to Zorbas Express. I ordered the hamburger combo with zucchini sticks at drive through. I got home and was enjoying my meal until I found steel wool stuck inside on a zucchini stick. It completely grossed me out because I don’t know where the steel wool is from and what it was used for.

I ordered through the drive through. I got the Zorba’s combo(pastrami burger, fries, and a drink). After tax, it came out to be $ 10.01. HAHAHA. What a joke. I can get something better at In-N-Out for half the price and double the quality. The service: the food was done and just sitting there, as if they forgot that we were at the window. 0⁄5 The food: SUPERTHINSLICEOFMEAT. What a rip off. It’s a $ 6+ burger without the combo. Fries: mediocre mix of soggy, undercooked potatoes that they forgot to salt. Overall: 0⁄5

Came into today to get some much needed breakfast while my car was being washed down the street. I ordered a Sausage Breakfast Burrito with orange juice. The Burrito was %90 hashbrown, eggs, cheese and %10 cheap sausage. Very disappointed. I will not be coming back to this location although the restaurant was clean and the cashier was nice.

Love this place! They accommodate for just about anyone’s needs. They will switch around pretty much anything for you. Prices are great, sweet people. I can’t say anything bad about the place. Oh and the pastrami burger was DELICIOUS! I doubted it at first because of devious reviews, but I like to form my own opinion on places with few reviews! Try it for yourself!

Had tried only double cheese burger and chili burger combo. Food was made to order, so it’s nice and fresh. I’m very impressed with a huge slice of fresh tomato in my cheese burger. Fries were also freshly made and good. There was no store promotion at all, although a few posters on the window. Beef patties for burgers were super thin. I’d recommend double patties on any burger you order. You can get free refill on your drink, but the fountain machine is behind the counter, so you have to ask for it. Conclusion, I think it’s a tiny chain store with only a handful stores. Enough to qualify as a mom & pop store I’d support. However the food, although decent, was nothing special to make me wanting to come back. So 3 stars… If I do ever go back, I would try their breakfast items and Mexican menu.

Really good burger and fries. Friendly staff. The only thing this place needs is a remodeling as it really needs one. I usually get the quarter pounder with cheese but their pastrami burger is really good too.

Came for lunch in between jobs. The cashier proceeded to take my order then have me wait several minutes while she tried to figure out the complexities that are a register and register tape. Food was nothing special but it’s a walking distance from my home. Which is convenient. Sadly to say the owner or so he seems to be «Paul» was completely rude. I asked for a refill and he said«fifty cents«could they possibly be doing so poorly that they need to charge what every other restaurant gives for free? Apparently so. Which explains the empty dining area. So why was it a mess? Good question. I’ll gladly be taking my business and burger cravings back to farmer boys. It’s a distance but at the same price I paid I will enjoy the consistency of my burger fries and FREEREFILLS. Could have had a good review Paul if you didn’t decide to laugh in my face when I looked at you in disbelief at your ridiculous surcharge. Never again.

Honestly the food was mediocre. Definitely nothing to write home about. Much better places to eat at on this same street so if you see this place, just keep driving. Here’s why: Burger was dry and bread was stale. Fries were soggy. And the worst part was this place was dirty. I just stayed to eat because I didn’t notice the dirty corners until I had already ordered and sat down to wait for my food. Here’s what they did to finally deserve the one star: As I was finishing my food the two workers wanted to get a headstart on closing shop(was about 9:30p) so the girl starts sweeping up all the dead flys and gnats from the ground, and sweeping in my direction while I was eating!!! How non-hygienic can you be?! This was disgusting as I could see dust particles in the air while she was sweeping. I was disgusted that I left the rest of my food there and walked right out. I didn’t even bother picking up after myself. I figure if she is so adamant about cleaning up even though I was still eating, well I didn’t want to keep her from her cleaning streak so I left my plate and food there on the table for her to clean up as well. I’m never going back to this place and you should just drive on by. Nothing to see or eat here, that is, unless you’d like a side of gnats with your burger!

I think this location is fast becoming my preference for burgers and sandwiches when I don’t feel like driving to the Lucky Greek on Merrell. The burgers are grilled fresh. Fries are thick and cooked properly(amazing how few places are so consistent), and the corned beef sandwich was tasty during another visit. I haven’t tried breakfast yet, but I am satisfied with the friendly service.

I’m happy with my order every time I come! :) it’s really chill and the workers are super nice! The fried mushroom is something to try! But definitely not for everyone but personally my friends and I love it! I have yet the breakfast menu but this place is great for lunch and dinner!

Pretty good stuff. Its the same owner as the one on Iowa. The ham breakfast is good but I would not get the steak since its paper thin. The zorba burger is good here too.

WORSTFOOD!!! I will not be going back to Zorba’s on UNIVERSITYAVE in Riverside! We ordered BLT’s and got only TWO pieces of bacon in the sandwich(we ordered 2 and they were both the same). The fries which are usually cooked to perfection at the Zorba’s in HIGHGROVE were undercooked and soggy. The steak sandwich roll was HARD and I couldn’t eat the bread… When I called to complain I spoke to PAUL the OWNER and all he said was that he would talk to his cook. When I asked if I could take my food back he said that he would cook up TWO slices of bacon and to make up for the lack of it in the sandwiches… RIDICULOUS!!! He was so rude and when I told him I would tell my friends about the lousy food I got he said GOAHEAD! So here I am… And from now on I will go to Zorba’s in HIGHGROVE… I don’t think University Ave is owned by the same people as the one in Highgrove. They are probably franchising out… and in my opinion the owners of the Highgrove store should keep an eye on the restaurant using their name.

It’s a work in progress. This place opened up around a year ago. I believe it has the same owners as the Zorba’s restaurant in High Grove and Rubidioux. It’s called«Express» cuz they don’t have the full menu as offered by the High Grove location and it’s smaller inside. Also, if you’re into the fancy soda machine, flat screen TV’s, and pickles you get from the High Grove location, fugettabout-it. Nevertheless, it still has the basics like the Zorba Special. The inside only has about 6 booths or so, but I saw that they recently added an outdoor seating section out in the back of the restaurant. While this does expand the capacity, Riverside summers are hot, and as of now, the outside section was uncovered, so we’ll have to wait and see whether a cover or umbrellas are added. I have tried a few things, as evidenced by my pictures, and I have to say the quality is fine. However, if I have the time, I’d make the trek to the High Grove location. We’ll see how they do once the renovations are complete.
